My friend and I tried to watch a movie there, but we were turned away due to our ethnicity.

I was looking…read moreforward to trying their loaded fries, but I ordered a shake and cocktail instead and the quality was excellent on those, so no complaints. The theater I went to was very clean and the reclining chair was warm and comfortable. Wait staff was courteous. I ordered my ticket online on their website and there were no problems with it. I loved that I could order a tall glass of water. THANK YOU for that. I haven't been to many places that just offer water that isn't in a plastic bottle. Viewers were very respectful. The theater was dead quiet through the whole movie and everyone followed the rules. Good vibe, good crowd. Good size screen and good arrangement. I can't wait to come back. I might even be back tomorrow. Best cinema experience I've had, and the best viewing crowd I've been in too. A tip for when you're ordering: When the movie started, it was too dark in the theater to scan the QR code again. Thankfully I could get the tab screen back up. Do not close your browser window on your phone so you can go back to it if you want to order more!

Love the Alamo, which is why it pains me to give only two stars. Three weeks ago a screening I'd…read morealready paid for was cancelled due to an electrical issue, and despite numerous phone calls and emails regarding a refund my money was not returned to my account. While the manager, Phil, was very kind and understanding, even comping me a free screening of a film last week, the fact is that three weeks and no refund is unacceptable. Yet what's really gotten my goat is the Alamo's sudden change in food ordering policy, by which orders are now processed via mobile app during the screening, which defeats the whole point of the Alamo's "no phones" policy and is clearly just a way for the company to avoid employing food workers. Can't support that. When a company straight up steals from you, it's time to stop giving it your business.

It can get packed on the weekends but ticket check in is still a fast and easy process. There were multiple women's bathroom stalls that ran out of toilet paper. I recommend checking the toilet paper before using the stall. Seems like they might be understaffed due to bathroom not being stocked and the concessions stands line are usually long.

Check online for showtimes, they rotate the movies each year and only show them for a few days throughout the year. Parking was a breeze, and you can get a great view of the skyline and of the retail area. The movie finished around sunset so we got to soak in the gorgeous views! Validated parking is $2 for 3 hours. Concessions are typical price for big box movies, $15 beer hits better in a theater I suppose. They had a couple Hazy IPAs on draft and the bartender was really friendly. The seats are the old cushion seats (not the newer reclining leather seats like in some AMCs). It was comfortable enough and clean as those types of seats can be. Usually I expect the movie theater to blast AC but it was actually quite warm inside. There was a note on the ticket that said trailers are 25-30 minutes long. However for this showing they started the intro credits about 8 minutes after the listed showtime. They had multiple gender neutral restrooms (single stalls) which were clean. While the seats weren't the most up to date, I would still go back! They have a deal for 50% off tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday which is pretty good, if you become a free member (Ghibli movie was excluded). Also 50% off small combos Tues/Wed with member QR code.

He has made real gains with using his AAC device and also learning strategies to help him control behavior. They have also presumed competence in his education and have helped him move up the ladder academically. He has benefitted from all of the therapy modalities and I have been impressed with everyone he's worked with: parapros, teachers, and therapists.

Merlin provides comprehensive therapeutic services, including ABA, ST, PT, OT, and Social Work, in addition to educational services. The staff are insightful, creative, patient, compassionate and fun, and my son absolutely loves his time at school. The learning mixed with therapeutic play is just right for him developmentally, and his therapists take a holistic approach to building social and academic, and other skills he'll need to function throughout life. As someone who taught for nearly a decade and has worked in school settings since, I can fully appreciate the level of individual attention he gets from his therapists and therapeutic assistants, the extensive communication with families to stay up to date on our goals for our child and to let us know how his day is going (including notes and photos throughout the day!). And mostly I appreciate that he is not just sitting around at a desk all day doing differentiated work--I he is active and thinking, engaged, and having fun as he builds new skills. I see the review from two and a half months ago, and I think the context there is important: hers was the very first child to transition from private insurance to ISBE funding, so it makes sense that she personally would have experienced the growing pains as they adjust to a different system. I can imagine that this is a steep learning curve, and I'd extend some grace to them as they figure it out. In our second year at the Avondale location, I'd say they have worked out a lot of kinks, and that this is a joyful place for my child to learn throughout the day. We have found it to be a godsend.
