Unfortunately, I will be changing doctors. A member of the office staff was completely out of pocket about an issue that was ONE HUNDRED PERCENT the fault of their clinic and the external clinic that they referred me to for the procedure. I respectfully asked my doctor to refer me to a specific medical office that my insurance covered and that medical office's patient care is a priority. My doctor decided to go with another Facey clinic that clearly was not who I wanted to do the procedure with. First red flag. Facey Mission Hills was the referral that my doctor raved about. Facey Mission Hills was fine as far as the nurses and the procedure was fast. The place was terrible as far as their follow up and after care. The lack of professionalism and terrible follow up- it took me more than two months to get the results of the procedure. Just a terrible experience that no one should have to deal with. Facey Porter Ranch has lost its touch with patient care. Period. The Facey Porter Ranch receptionist should understand that people who receive terrible medical care will be upset. The office did nothing to help me. Nothing. And then the receptionist decided to make it all about her. Embarrassing. A very bad look. I've been with Facey for over 30 years. Dr Nelson is an old school doctor who takes his time to listen to his patients, and has always been a thorough doctor. Both of the specialist he's recently referred us to have been great! They have not take the chart at face value but rather listened to the patient, then started treatment or a plan. I've had a few bad hicupps with urgent care doctors & one gyn doctor. But again this is in 30+ years. Hobestly I couldn't be happier with our care team. Our 4 kids were born and attended Facey and now the 3rd generation, our grandkids now attend Facey with Dr Nathenson! Another amazing doctor. This should speak volumes for how we feel. read more

Absolutely terrible. Dealing with the office staff and their systems is painful. If they order a test for you, then you might not see the result for weeks. They literally have a scanning department. So, instead of receiving and then relaying your test results immediately, you have to wait for them to scan them which is backed up 8 weeks. I'm going to start by saying I have been a nurse for over 10 years, with my most recent experience in the OR. I recently had surgery for my kidney stone 1 week ago with a urologist here and it was a nightmare. I originally was seeing the PA for my kidney stone and he took care of placing the authorization and everything was fine but when the doctors MA called me to schedule the surgery I asked to first speak to the doctor. At first the MA was hesitant to schedule me a TELEPHONE appt with the doc and kept asking me "why" I needed to speak with her. First off, because I want to. Second, it's my freaking right! Plus I didn't trust what the MA was saying because when I asked how long I would have the stent in place she kept saying "a week or two." When I explained that I needed the stent removed after 1 week she said that it was fine. She started to schedule my surgery for 1/22 with the stent removal scheduled on 2/6. Umm, excuse me? We just spoke about the stent being removed in 1 week. Again, the MA said "yes in a week or two." I told the MA no, the latest the appt could be scheduled was 1/30 she said "ok I have to get it approved by the doctor because she'll be out of town" ....then why did you previously tell me ok? I finally spoke to the doctor on the phone (where I had to pay a copay) and told her of my pervious experience and blah blah. She of course was sympathetic and assured me I would be taken care of. Ok cool. The day of my surgery came and I briefly saw the urologist right before surgery. She had prescribed my post op medications before hand to the pharmacy and there were issues with two of the pain medications she called in. I told her this before surgery so she could call the pharmacy and figure it out. Well guess what, she didn't. I called the office and spoke to the same MA who could not understand that two of the meds were not the same medications. To be in pain and trying to explain something to someone that they should understand is frustrating. So I wrote a message through MyChart to the PA explaining the issues with the medication and told her to just read my messages to understand what I was trying to say. A few hours later with no results I called back to the office. They told me "she's not here, she's in surgery." Yeah, ok? Again, I work in the OR. We have doctors offices calling in ALL DAY to get a hold of the surgeon. It's literally part of my job to answer their freaking cell phone while they are scrubbed in. When I told them that they could either get ahold of the urologist or that I was going to call the surgery center, the urologist called me back. She seemed annoyed on the phone but finally she fixed her mistake. But now I'm trying to play catch up with pain and it never ends well. And oh yeah, the PA also wrote me back an hour after and said "looks like everything worked out!" But guess what? It didn't. Because now nothing could touch the pain and the next day at 330am my kidney was spasming so bad from the stent, the stent came out. OH THATS RIGHT PEOPLE. Now I'm passing tiny blood clots and little stone pieces without a stent. It was like passing a million kidney stones. But I tried to be a good patient. I stayed on my meds and just breathed through the pain. But the next night I went to the ER because passing multiple stones over 2 days is a lot. Plus, you can only take NSAIDs around the clock for a certain amount of days before you get into other complications. The ER prescribed be meds at 4am in the morning so all I had to do was wait until the pharmacy opened to pick it up. Well guess what? The med is back ordered in all pharmacies. OH MY GOD. To say I was spiraling was an understatement. I called the urologist office to be like what do I do!? And of course I spoke to the MA who simply said "she's out of town" okkkkkk, let me speak to the doctor on call then. She replied "well leave a message for the PA" I was beyond frustrated. So I called my PCP and within 20 minutes my primary called the pharmacy and got me pain medication that was available and I was out of pain. The best part though, 4 hours after they left a message for the PA to call me, the MA called me saying "the PA called the doctor on call who said to go to the ER and get admitted for pain control" cool, so now on top of having an ER copay you want me to have a second copay and a hospital bill for something that your office should be able to handle?! I will never ever ever ever EVVVVVVVEEEEEER go back there or recommend them to anyone. It really stunned me to experience this because everyday I see the surgeons I work with actually talk to their patients, ensuring that they have their medications and aren't in pain. I didn't think anything of it because again, it's so routine for patients or the office to call in with issues that get addressed and fixed quickly. But, I do work at a hospital versus surgery center where surgeons are just pumping them out there. read more

Nothing but love for Dr David Chien and Facey Medical Group in Porter Ranch. We moved out of the area otherwise I would have stayed with these guys forever. From the women on the front desk to the nurses who checked by sons in, to Dr Chien, everyone was amazingly knowledgeable and efficient. We never waited long to be seen and my kids were treated kindly and with respect. We saw them for everything from routine check ups to flu jabs to emergency appointments. Dr Chien is an AMAZING pediatrician. No judgement, excellent communication and took my fears seriously. Not only is Dr. Mariver Salcedo an exceptional doctor who goes above and beyond to listen to her patients and address their concerns but the staff at Facey are also super helpful and professional. For example, today I called and spoke with Ella and she listened to my needs and was able to get me scheduled for a physical, a virtual visit and put in a request to my doctor to get additional testing that I had done in the past. I have nothing but good things to say about this group and the doctors. When I first had my baby almost 2 years ago, I had severe postpartum depression and insomnia. I had a list of in-network doctors to call and this was the only group that called me back or was available. I like that Facey is in network with Providence so I can go on the portal for my needs. Dr. Leshan saved my life. I remember the first time I went to see her, she spent a whole hour with me just asking me questions and hearing me out. Talk about fantastic bedside manner, but also just a great human being in treating me. Dr. Chien was detailed throughout the whole exam, informative and yes even funny at times which put my son at ease. My great Ortho Dr. Dietz left and no longer works for Facey he had great compassion for his patients and was always willing to explain any questions that I had. My last appointment with him was in January and I needed a follow up in February and was told he was gone and unfortunately I was told Dr Kim was the replacement. So I agreed to continue care with him--worst decision. Dr. Kim doesn't like answering questions and that is an issue. Patients have a right to understand what their treatment plan is, but Dr. Kim doesn't share this philosophy. He doesn't return phone calls and avoids providing clarification like the plague. Right off the 118 freeway, going westbound, exit porter ranch, and it's on the right hand side. It has a large parking lot, but it's pretty full. There's a small Facey office on the bottom left of the building, but the main section is in the middle and on the second floor. My wife went in to see the dermatologist, and they were a little behind, like most times at Providence Facey. The waiting area was clean, brightly lit, tv screens all over, and the chairs were fairly comfortable. My wife said the dermatologist was young, but very knowledgeable and did what she asked. read more

Have been going to Dr. Chien's office for all my three kids since they were young. From the moment we walk in, especially KAREN and Guisela are very welcoming. They are best at what they do, always very helpful, friendly to families. They are very accommodating to your needs as much as they can to make it easier for parents. DR. CHIEN is the best pediatrician. All 3 of my kids love him. He is always ON TIME, professional but warm (not intimidating), very attentive, explains and talks to the kids directly during check ups. He is also very smart and is able to communicate to parents and kids what they need to know in a very simple way. I leave the office knowing my kids are in very good hands. Read this before you even consider coming here. I came here with food poisoning and had a high fever. The nurse practitioner was really nice but said there was nothing she could give me until they ran blood and stool tests. So I finish the the NP and head over to do some blood work and grab the kit for stool tests. 1) they couldn't find a vein and had to try several times, bruising the hell out of my arm and telling me that I was probably dehydrated but then all of a sudden they found the vein and it worked... 2) I called 5 days later to see if they had my results and they told me it takes up to 7 days with the doctor reviewing the results 3) 3 weeks later, I never received a call! My insurance go robbed, I wasted my time taking them the stool samples at the end of the day, and I still had to pay a deductible! Ridiculous and a waste of time. read more

Wouldn't write a bad review for this clinic because I loved the doctors and the facility was clean but the pediatrics receptionist needed to be called out. I initially brought my son in for his initial appointments. I was using the insurance from my job so likely the whole thing was covered. The first appointment went well and we got scheduled to come back in a few months. We are going through a pandemic and with that I lost my job. I took an initiative to start my own business so when it comes to having insurance I'm still trying to figure out the route of health insurance as a business owner. (Figured I'd have to pay out of pocket) Months go by and the follow up appointment for my son arrives, I go to the receptionist who asks me if she can see my insurance card. I asked if it was still connected and how the process would go. Before I could explain to her my concerns she loudly stated to me and the rest of the room that if I don't have insurance my son cannot be seen. I asked what my other options were as far as getting him seen today. She stated that I would get billed for the appointment and I said that would be fine. She then blurted out that they don't do billing in their department and that I'm better off using MediCal. I quietly asked if they do that in the office or if they had the documents to sign up and she again yelled at me. I wouldn't have thought anything of it if the other nurses behind the counter didn't put down their phone calls to try and help me out too. One nurse even tried suggesting something to the big oaf yelling at me but she fanned her off. The nurse raised her eyebrows and turned around. The receptionist then told me that "Im better off going to a community clinic" and told me the name of the local clinic. I took the name and asked if there was an address? She explained that I would have to find it on Google myself and with that I left. Im not writing this review because of that incident. Im writing this review because even after being treated like a dog off the streets, this clinic has the AUDACITY to call me a week later to ask me to call them back!!!! Why would I ever go back to a clinic that treated me in such a manner?!! It wasn't enough to loudly announce that I don't have a job so my insurance is no good. It wasn't enough that she announced that I wouldn't be able to pay for a bill I offered to pay out of pocket for, and it definitely wasn't enough that I was told im better off going to a community clinic BUT they really want me to go back after half the office saw the whole situation unravel?! It's clean with short wait times. Parking gets full even during this pandemic. They are pretty good about limiting appt times as to not have too many people in the waiting room. I've seen few doctors here which I was happy about. They try to get you out quick which is nice during covid times. This building is shared with UCLA and providence holy cross imaging center. They do have an urgent care, but it's only for orthopedic type urgencies. Their main medical urgent care is in mission hills. read more

I was supposed to get a call from an office manager after the business mgr Frederick replied to my post and I messaged the business with my number but sadly I haven't yet. I am in my way to the facility now with my husband for his ortho appt again so I'll ask for the office mgr when there after our appt. Probably the only way ill actually get someone. So we spoke with the office manager after his appt & to add injury to insult on this visit, we arrived & my husband was asked to change his cloth mask to a surgical one while another pt who happened to be white was allowed to wear a cloth one. Then the medical assistant couldn't remove the stitches & says when my husband asks if the dr can do it "the dr can't remove them" (lying) she tortures my husband trying & finally leaves room, dr walks by & we call him in & tell him what happened & he removes them & puts bandaid & we leave to meet with mgr. Omfg! What kind of place is this. I was always taught in nursing school if you have trouble with a task, for the sake of the patient get help, never traumatize your patient over your incompetence! No excuse for this behavior, medical assistants should be held to some standards as well. My husband is on blood thinners & she was going to find a scalpel I don't think so! Thank God the dr came in. This is now becoming a regular occurrence every time I make an appointment. Topping it off..don't expect any call back from their office..they never return your call. It's like pulling teeth every time you want a call back. It does not appear that patient care is a priority. Look somewhere else for your primary care needs. Anything is better than this! I have no bad things about the doctors. Overall this place looks nice and clean, and the doctors have always taken good care of my family and me. However, my negative feedback goes to their billing department and subsequent customer service. We have - as most people - an Insurance Plan that covers Annual Checkups (Preventive visits) 100%. This relates to both the doctor and laboratory. However, EVERY SINGLE TIME my wife and I got to an annual checkup, we end up getting bills from their 3rd party laboratory (Quest Diagnostic) because Facey Medical uses incorrect billing codes not indicating the tests are related for an annual checkup. This then means, that I will have to spend hours calling Quest and tell them the situation that Facey Medical l sent them the wrong information, then call Facey and talk to Billing (or send their billing department a code review email) and also talk to my insurance company. A lot of phone line waiting. And in between I have to wait a few weeks before I see the changes appear on Quest's website. And if it doesn't all over again. Right now I am in a middle of such a situation (again) and I have sent them an email and asked them to straighten it out on my behalf, as it cannot be fair, that I have to spend time due to mistakes they do - systematically. Also - on a different note - if your doctor during your annual review ask you if there are other things you would like to discuss and if those things also warrants a blood sample, all the Annual Checkup blood samples are no longer free as they now have a billing reason to request the blood samples. Because of this, I now say 'no' when being asked and save additional questions for a separate session not overlapping with my annual checkup (which doesnt really matter, as they mess up the codes anyway). I have been a FACEY porter ranch patient for many years and My son is also a patient and has always been treated by Dr.Chen pediatrics! However we were seen by DR ELIZABETH EVANS! Who not only attempted several times to push her personal ideology on us as far as vaccines are concerned! She said that CHINA has a " great system because they have one government and they're hospitals are all tied together " what does that have to do with my son? I told her 3 times I was not interested in a flu shot for my son and she then tells me that she's already seen her first case of a child being put in the hospital! I am not sure who vets these doctors but for them to speak to ADULTS as if were stupid! And comparing me not wanting a shot for my healthy child to COMMUNIST CHINA is beyond me!!!! Facey doctors have no idea what they're doing. My mom is going to be starting chemo soon. This review is SPECIFICALLY for Dr. Sareh. I was dumb and didn't listen to family who have seen her previously. I was warned about her, but instead of listening to the advice from family member and other patients, I decided to book an appointment with her. She has the worst beside manner I've ever experienced. I would NOT recommend going to her, ever. I was legitimately traumatized after seeing her (my primary doctor was not in) and felt distraught for about an hour after seeing Dr. Sareh. I won't state what happened exactly, but let's just say this--I was not greeted happily, in general she seemed annoyed that I was even there (even though I was one of her first appointments for the day). She didn't tell her nurse what she wanted (bad communication), she walked away and left me confused, twice. She proceeded to impatiently give me demands, and do an exam on me and didn't once explain why or what she was doing. She then walked out of the room and left me there. She came back and was acting happy, like she was trying to end the appointment on a high note. It was bizarre because she was very dismissive and annoyed throughout the duration of my time there. She proceeded to give me solid advice, however, he behavior was unacceptable and I will never make an appointment with her ever again. Overall, I felt legitimately uncomfortable and I wish I would have waited and seen my primary doctor instead. To be completely frank, there is a reason why Dr. Sareh is still taking patients--because she can't keep the ones she has. I asked where is Ortho since it's my first time in the building, I greeted her and her response is quite condescending . I saw Dr. Roy Kim (Sports Medicine) in June 2020. Dr. Kim was wonderful. He was prepared for my visit by reviewing my history before arriving to see me. He asked appropriate questions, allowed me to answer, clarified when necessary, and presented his conclusions based on thorough questioning and physical examination. He was able to treat part of my problem at the same visit, and ordered additional x-rays for the other issue I was having (and his suspicions were confirmed on those x-rays).
