However, a couple of things really get to me. 1) Every time I go I feel immense pressure to buy product. I understand why they suggest the products, but I can't afford a bunch of expensive skin care products. If I could I prob would, but I truly can't justify it with my budget. Even when I express my financial concerns I feel I am still pushed to buy and feel guilty saying no. 2) The last time I was there (3/8/25) I had scheduled a moderate peel. I somehow ended up with a diamond peel or something like that for almost double what I was expecting to pay and wasn't made aware my service had been changed until I got to the register. I think some where during the conversation about what I was there for the Esthetician changed the service on me in a subtle way so I didn't know I was essentially agreeing to a more expensive service without being made aware. This was very upsetting as again, I am on a budget and I felt tricked. I came to the conclusion that purity is a better place for a person with long term skin goals and a large budget to dedicate to it. Not a person who just wants an occasional peel or facial. At least that's how I have felt after my few times there. For that reason I will not be going back

She offers many more services, under a medical director. I had a plasma fibroblast pen treatment. Liz has the BEST prices that I found! She also offers facials, red/blue/yellow light therapy, laser treatments, RF microneedling, and fat removal. Her own skin is absolutely gorgeous! Liz is calm, friendly, professional, and very soothing during painful treatments. She's skilled and competent, and I plan to see her again for future treatments. She did my lower eyelids and upper lip with the plasma pen, and provided medical-grade numbing cream before the procedure. I numbed myself at home. She didn't provide aftercare cream, but did provide a full set of aftercare instructions. This was not a problem, as Liz recommended Aquaphor. Protocols vary among practitioners. Liz takes more of a simple, effective, no-fuss approach. I also like the fact that Liz doesn't upsell or push other products and services. If you ask what can be done for a particular problem, like forehead creases, she will tell you what she can do for them. She is now in suite 401. I have pictures of my face, but chickened out and removed them. However, the plasma pen burns are neat and professional :) I may or may not add before and after pictures at a later date.

Dr. Szabo saved my life…read more After seeing a different derm at a different practice over the course of a few months and three appointments regarding a mole on the sole of my foot, I was told each time it was "normal." Although, I had not been seen at Alta Vista in a few years, the staff worked me in. I returned to Dr. Szabo. She took my concerns seriously and immediately biopsied it and called me a few days later with results after hours with concerning news. It was a very serious acral melanoma. She urged me have a oncological surgeon remove it asap, which I did. And luckily, my sentinel lymph biopsy showed the cancer did not spread to my lymphatic system. She and her staff have been following me closely and gone above and beyond to make sure I have routine skin check appointments. This practice and the entire staff have gone above and beyond for myself & my family! Called again and after being told I had to wait a week because my doctor was out, They sent it to a pharmacy in another state. Called again and was told it couldn't be fixed for a week. Told them it better be fixed today because they sent it to the wrong pharmacy today. The receptionist was confused and not apologetic or trying to fix it. I have wasted at least an hour if not more trying to get this fixed! I'm furious. How hard is it to send my prescription to the pharmacy that they told me they were sending it to? How hard is it to be concerned and fix their mistake? Why should I have to pitch a fit to get them to do their job. I love my dermatologist but the staff is severely lacking in customer service skills and the ability to do their jobs!
