Every time I've come to this apple store, I've received horrible service and condescending employees. To be fair, the women here I've dealt with have been pretty helpful and friendly. The men however, are a complete nightmare. Our tech company (one of the largest consulting agencies in the world - yes this is important for later) have a employee purchase plan where we can get 5-10% off different apple items, but you can only buy it in store. We've taken advantage of this work perk before at numerous other locations, including Markville and Fairview. However, every time we try to bring this up to an employee here, we've had a horrible experience. The first time ever, they were confused but finally honoured it after they dug a bit for info. Yesterday, however...was the worst experience I've had here and confirmed why I will not return to this location and rather drive out to Markham.. we tried calling the store AND corporate, and they insisted we HAVE to come in to the location just to get the discount percentage and the price for an item. So we drove to this location as it is the closest one to us - and had to line up in a long queue ... just to get a price ... ok, sure. After waiting in the line, someone finally came up to us and when we explained the EPP and discount we had, this man laughed - YES, LAUGHED at us and said "hah, absolutely not." That took us aback and we explained the company and situation further until he finally decided to search it up saying he's never heard of the company, and then proceed to say "Oh. This company DOES have an EPP" ... did he think we were lying? After that, he told us that he can't get the price for us and we had to wait 1h for a 'specialist' ... just..to..get..a.. PRICE. We weren't even sure if we wanted it for sure, just wanted to see the pricing. All this, just to get a price? Can anyone see how ridiculous this is? We just ended up calling the store again directly just outside of the mall and we ended up reaching someone who told us the discount and the helpful employee on the phone told us that "some of the other employees... yeah, I don't know..." Really seems like some people are not trained, or just trying to gatekeep the discount even though we also have it via our company. This store has really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Apple Store Greed?…read more I'd like to share this incident with everyone just to be wary, and always get a second opinion. I went to the Apple Store as my iPhone 14 Pro Max started having lots of issues with glitching, freezing, dictation, and a few other issues. The people at the Apple Store told me that it's a logistics hardware problem and it would cost me $700 to fix as I did not have a protection plan. I was going to just buy the new 15 Apple Pro Max and give this phone to my child as a toy. I didn't end up purchasing one because they didn't have the colour I wanted in stock and I was going to wait a bit. When I got home, I remembered that I had my Apple laptop serviced at TRG Computer Solutions in Aurora. So I decided to give them a call to ask them how much they would charge to fix this issue. They told me to simply back up my phone and do a factory reset and that should solve the problem. Lo and behold that's exactly what I did, and my phone was restored to its former state with absolutely no issues!!! Extremely appalled at the service at upper Canada Mall Apple Store.

However, this experience was extremely disappointing. I approached an employee named Komail for a Price Match request, but he initially told me that Best Buy does not match prices from Amazon (Sold and Shipped by Amazon) because Amazon is considered a third-party seller. This information was incorrect, as Best Buy's official Price Match policy clearly states that items sold and shipped by Amazon are eligible. After leaving the store, I checked Best Buy's policy and even called customer service to confirm, then I returned to the store to inform him. He looked at my phone screen and said he needed to check with a manager. However, after waiting for a while, neither he nor his manager showed up. Eventually, he told me it would take another 10-15 minutes to get approval from headquarters. Meanwhile, instead of updating me on my Price Match request, he suddenly started asking about my mobile carrier, my plan, and how much I was paying--clearly trying to sell me a new phone plan. Even after I told him I wasn't interested and only wanted to buy the product I came for, he kept pushing and even mentioned that he could offer me additional discounts if I signed up for a phone or home internet plan. Not only was this unprofessional, but I also believe offering additional discounts in this manner goes against Best Buy's policy. In the meantime, I checked online and found that Canadian Tire was selling the same smartwatch at the same price as Amazon. When I told Komail that I would just go buy it there, he didn't even mention that he could match Canadian Tire's price, despite previously stating that Best Buy only price matches retailers with physical stores. This experience was far from the excellent customer service that originally made me choose Best Buy over online shopping. If Best Buy truly values customer experience, they need to improve employee professionalism and ensure that Price Match requests are handled properly instead of being used as an opportunity for upselling.

Bad return policies…read more Bought an upgraded power supply and upgraded video card. I am very tech savvy. For the life of me the drivers would not install. The video card refused to work. There is no logical scenario I could come up with why it would not work. After several attempts I came to the conclusion that either my computer did not like that card, or the card did not like my computer. I took it back to the store. I had every intention to simply get my money back and purchase a new card in the store. Right away I was informed that there is a 10% restocking fee. It says nothing about this on the receipt.The person doing returns saw that I was about to lose it if they were going to try and steal $15 from me, when I hadn't even had the card for 24 hours. My fiance was able to purchase many hoodies, and there was a lot in stock - for guys. This time though, I was impressed by the abundance of Timberland shoes, I was able to purchase a couple of men's boots for my fiance with a good price. I checked my receipt and the calculated average of savings I get is 50%. I would recommend still checking this place out, as this is a big warehouse sale, and they have a lot of different types of clothing to shop for. They have hoodies, sweaters, t-shirts, work-out clothes, work pants, winter boots, safety shoes, winter jackets, golf apparels, even beauty products and jewelery!
