Stopped in Factory Records today to check the place out for the first time. Easy to find off Route 15 in Dover, NJ. Plenty of parking, love the "factory" ambience and the staff was incredible! Everyone I spoke with had a great attitude and gave good direction. Today was also Record Store Day ( a special day in the record collector community) so it was extremely busy but Factory Records had a great system and their selections well organized. Will definitely return

This place is awesome!! If you're looking for new and used vinyl at great prices this is the place to go. They've got a great bargain spot, I found some perfect used vinyl. Their vinyls are sorted by genre and contains new and used. They have a big section of sale new vinyl as well. Please check their site when you can, as they have listening parties in a very cool section. Check out the pic I posted. And you can rent it out. They also have used CD's and DVD's. Something for everyone. I highly recommend this spot!

This place is off the hook! How did I not know about it? I was in the area and looked up "Record Stores Near Me". Wow! Not only is this place massive but it's also very well organized. Records, videos, turntables ... even 8-track tapes. The lounge there looked really cool and I'm sure it's a great place to have a party or hang out at one of their events. Nice people there, too -- and they didn't even make fun of me when I bought a Partridge Family record. Extra points for selling Weird NJ magazine! I will definitely be back.

Combination vinyl, CD and DVD store plus stereo equipment resale and repair shop, all under one warehouse roof! Very well organized, different sections for different media, plenty of space, everything sorted by artist, a pleasure to browse here, you're not digging in some battered box underneath a table. Super fun to relive my youth by browsing racks of used records lol. They're serious about fixing and reselling old equipment here, lots of used amps, receivers, tape decks and even turntables if you need one. Soon they will have a coffee shop in front with live performances.

My fiancé and I decided to have a Sunday morning coffee date and check it out. The shop is nothing short of fun, I feel like I could find something new every day while browsing the selections. The vinyl collection is great and there's plenty to choose from. Big shoutout for the shop having a soundtrack section, that's the first thing I always look for when I'm browsing records. I managed to find a record and a cool poster before I even browsed the cafe menu. The barista was super chill and recommended some of their popular items to try for our first visit. We both opted for tiramisu iced lattes and we were not disappointed. The coffee base was excellent, and the flavoring was very balanced. My fiancé also got a lil' treat, courtesy of me, a mochaccino muffin, which got the thumbs up of approval. We both agreed that the space is cool and exactly the kind of spot we'd prefer to hang out in. Sweet Vinyl will definitely be in our coffee outing rotation going forward.

I was really impressed with how much time the cashier took polishing the record and wrapping it before he sold it to her. Very fun, artsy spot.

Not easy to search through or get around but it's all about the dig. Pretty well organized as far as genre. I knocked a few things off my want list. Prices were pretty reasonable for the most part. I later found out there was a documentary about the store so I watched that and now I'm even more glad I stopped in. Seems like the store isn't doing great at the moment. I would hate to see it close so I will be making this a regular stop. If you're an old school collector, you'll enjoy it.

The prices seemed high for playable records, I saw nothing under $20. All too many of the covers were badly worn or the records scratched, for these prices I think an album should be pretty outside & unscratched inside. Not everything is overpriced, there's also an enormous section of $1 albums, completely unsorted. The center rack is sorted by artist with sections for rock/pop, jazz and hard rock. But it's tough to get to that rack, all aisles are hopelessly cluttered with boxes of unsorted vinyl, packed so full that you cannot get past other people, stacked so tightly that you cannot reach the racks to flip thru, it's just unpleasant. If you're patient you may indeed find something you'll treasure. I bought a playable, non-collectible pressing of a 1985 rock album for $20, that was about the same as the fleabay price but here it was instant gratification and support of a local business. I was surprised this music business couldn't bother to play interesting tunes on a decent sound system, here it's just staticky radio through cheap speakers, meh.

Lots of random pictures, albums and vinyl accessories placed lovingly throughout the store. I saw a Bee Gees mirror from the 70s that I almost had to buy--and a drawn picture of Debbie Gibson which was just too cool. The selection is pretty impressive as well--not in the volume but in the number of quality albums. Chicago, Carpenters, Fleetwood Mac--lots of Sinatra. This isn't a deep collection but it has some nice pieces. The main challenge is price. I picked up a copy of Beach Boys Party for $5 which was in sub-VG condition. At PREX this would be $2.99--maybe cheaper. I also picked up a copy of a Winnie the Pooh album for my daughter for $8. (They have a very good selection of vinyl for kids.) I obviously didn't pay attention to the condition because after checking it out when I got home it was beat up. This would probably be $1 at Jupiter Records--maybe $2 at the very most. I'm going to cut them slack because they are just starting up. But when a store opens, the idea is to price items to move. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.
