Are you a collector that peruses eBay and the like for really expensive, discontinued or vintage things that range in condition of being still packaged to loose and in barely saleable condition? This is probably worth a stop for you! Hidden Treasures has set up shop in the Livingston Mall and has so much collectible stuff crammed into nice, brightly lit glass cases. The things in here include (but definitely isn't limited to) - Statue figures from Comic characters, wrestlers, athletes, Horror movie characters, vinyl records, sports memorabilia, movies/cd's, Cowboy boots & vests, niche limited run collectible cards, watches, vintage lunch boxes, vintage trinkets, antique dishware and much more. It's pretty cool and overwhelming. The store is like a large indoor flea market with rows of cases instead of booths. If you want to examine or buy something you speak with a staff member at the front of the store for help. If anything sells, It looks like the 'owner' of that case gets a cut. That brings me to why this place comes down some pegs for me. At a flea market or otherwise, you can maybe haggle with the vendor. True there might be some legit treasures, but lets face it some of this stuff is a tad overpriced and other things I couldn't see moving anytime soon. This takes me back to the eBay example. You drop your stuff in there and if sells, that's it. No interacting with the customer to make a deal. Perhaps you can haggle with whomever is present, but that seems weird. Why would I haggle with you if it's not your stuff? The other thing was while browsing this particular day this guy was coughing and wheezing like crazy. He and his friend had no mask on. If you weren't hacking your lungs out I wouldn't even care about the mask as much, but he was. He was walking around while doing this, sometimes not even covering his mouth and the guy running the store never said anything. There was even a sign saying, must wear mask to enter. So maybe they were friends with him, but there was a lot wrong with that. With all that, if you're a collector, this may be worth checking out. Just like a flea market though, you may catch more here than a deal. read more

It's a bit surprising to see such a place in an indoor big box mall. We were actually more interested in searching antiques which Hidden Treasures does have but their really strong point is collectibles of all sorts from sports memorabilia to action figures. Everything is in glass cases. I've never seen such an extensive array of collectibles! read more

Buy and sell collectibles here, mostly toys and some magazines and art. Lots of childhood goodies here, could definitely spend a lot of my free allowance here without question. Lol. Long aisles of lit up shelves and prices mostly priced. All locked up so get someone to help if you want to buy. They have some old clothing and other items in the far back, but also look up for random items at above head height on the high shelves like toys and recently retired Lego sets as an example. read more

This is my favorite pop culture/sports/antique store there is. Isles and Isles of display cabinets you can rent and there are many different themes amongst them. The prices are actually decent and the staff is very nice too, especially Dave, the owner. read more

This place is trash. It smells like a basement. And half the time I ask about something it seems like I know more than the actual employees that work work there. But oh well good ridden anyway. I've been to a few different antique places and this one is definitely my favorite. It is in a building with a few other places so there is plenty of parking. It is right off of route 17 so it is pretty easy to find. It is also much bigger than it looks from the outside. The thing that makes this place different is that they have something for everyone. They have everything from old coins and jewelry to pop figures and WWE action figures. They have pretty much anything you can think of. I wish I knew about it sooner so I could have done all of my Christmas shopping here. The way everything is laid out makes browsing easy. The prices at antique places are sometimes a little high, but everything here is very reasonably priced. The thing that set this apart from many of the other antique places I've been to is the service. Everyone here was extremely friendly. I first talked to a younger guy that worked there and he was very friendly and talked to us about some of the items. I then got a chance to talk to the owner. He was very friendly and was great to have a conversation with. He told me how he loves collecting stuff and is a huge wrestling fan, like me. It's nice to have someone just talk to you without them trying to force a sale on to you. I will definitely be recommending this place to people and I plan on coming back often. I could spend all day here just browsing and looking at all the cool stuff. I didn't get to buy anything this time but I definitely plan on buying some stuff the next time I go. OMG what took me so long to find this place, it's like a museum where you can actually buy from! I can spend hours here combing through the glass cases without any sales pressure. And the prices are not astronomical. I found some items cheaper here than at the flea markets. Vintage toys, comics, jewelry... I was a kid in a candy store! Been here a few times since opening and the place keeps getting worse. Now it's half the size it once was. More than likely it couldn't afford the rent bc their prices are insane. The store should be called eBay sold listings plus a mark up. Prices are a joke. Same items have been there since they opened. It's the same stuff every time I've been. The owner has short man syndrome and is not easy to deal with. The staff aren't knowledgeable about anything and come off like morons. Better off just sitting on your couch and browsing on eBay or hit up the local flea market. You will find NO deals here and will pay more than the same item on eBay. This was my first time in the store. I was visiting and saw this place on yelp. There was a ton of different items and collectibles. A must for Funko, Vinyl, and comic collectors. I was a employee at the time and was forced to write a review against my will to keep my job. They are actually very shady as the real owners don't realize how much embezzlement is going on in that establishment. Dave the short guy has a serious Napoleon Complex, his daughter and her bf are junkies who steal from the registers and steal from the vendors cases and just payout whatever they stole with the stores money. They will not be truthful when buying items and be fair with prices especially if you don't know what you have. On house calls they will hide things in other items without owners suspecting and the main guy who does the house calls Fred just takes items from his buys without recording to the store what he took. They all steal from vendors, customers and the store. If you deal with them be educated on what you have 1st by researching and if it's jewelry go to a accredited jeweler or smelter for honesty and better payout. Now keep in mind they moved from Bergen county not only due to the construction issues but they burned all their bridges in this area and Livingston has no idea how they play. read more

Very interesting collectible place. Organization could use a little work, and I think they sort of get into "Jack of all trades, master of none" territory. I only have passing knowledge of some collectibles, but it seemed like they didn't have quite robust enough of a selection for certain things that would appeal to die-hard collectors of those things. I.E. Their wrestling section is decent but nothing to write home about if you were a wrestling collector. Still, it's a really fun store to go to and the prices were more than fair. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! The collectibles are my absolute favorite! They have beautiful Disney princess collectible dolls that I adore and plan on getting. Not only that, but the marvel, Star Wars, sports and WWE memorabilia is crazy. And don't get me started on the jewelry selection. I have never seen such an array of so many awesome things! The employees there are so helpful and courteous. They make the experience that much more fun and enjoyable. I look forward to seeing them every time I walk in! I've been here a handful of times since they first opened and thought it was pretty cool to have a local spot that carried a wide variety of collectors items. I've also done business with them and thought that they were fair in their price considerations. However today left a very foul taste in my mouth. I spoke to whom I believe was the owner and asked to look at an item. I asked how much he was asking and he responded "make me an offer". So i then said what the current market value is for this particular item on ebay and said I'd be willing to pay that amount. To my surprise, he smugly responded "well then get it on ebay. You don't know what you'll get until it gets to your door" and he walked away. The best part of the whole interaction was when i dealt with him in the past, he actually went to ebay himself and price matched! It always baffles me how certain businesses can be so rude in today's economy where you can pretty much get ANYTHING with the simple click of the button. And guess what? I first went into this antique mall a few weeks ago, and it felt like I walked into my childhood! As soon as I walked in there I saw hot wheels and matchbox cars (which I collect) old toybiz figures, and tons of other antiques and figures. I think this place is awesome and it is a great place to go if you want a blast for the past! The employees are also some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I was there last week .. I have been there before and I enjoy looking around.. However this experience I will not be back.. The guy behind the counter kept saying if you need to look at something let me know.. So I smiled and kept looking.. I go upstairs (theres an upstairs with more stuff) he follows me up.. So I walk down and he is right on my tail... I go to look at something that caught my eye and he was still following me saying if you need to look at something let me know.. Listen. I go to places like this to look and maybe but something not to be harassed .. Prices are extremely high... and well this experience.. was just terrible.. If there is something you are looking for check ebay stay away from this place. They act like they are carrying gold.. when they just have old stuff which is also all out of place...
