I asked if the home could be expanded by 4' they said no problem, as I wanted the bedrooms larger, they said it was fine, they built it with a 4' wider hallway, instead what good is an 8' hallway? They delivered 3 weeks late, then when calling for the final walk through, they kept delaying 3 weeks at a time saying they will get back with my installer, 6 months later still no walk through, I am now having to replace defective items on the homes. Stay away, I consider myself lucky I didn't order all 6 of my homes from them. read more

The old man who helped us was kind of a snob. Literally a Squidward in a realtors body. There was only one home to tour and he told us to go ahead a tour the home because it was already unlocked. We walk all the way to the home and it's locked. read more

An update to my previous review. Jeff Vaughan did what he promised...he called me when a unit became available for purchase, but stressed it wouldn't last long. About an hour later my wife and I came to Factory Select Homes, walked through a couple of units with Jeff. We were so impressed with him, we bought two single wide homes. He made closing simple and straightforward, there was no sales hype and we never got the feeling of being pressured or forced to buy. FYI...Do not buy from these people in Arizona!!!!! To make a long story short they rope you into hurrying and giving them a $1000.00 deposit because their sale will be over that day on the one home we wanted. Only to find out you can't get financing unless you use them and then the interest rate is so high its not worth it. Then they refuse to give you your deposit back. Our sales person John H. was very nice while we were working with him until we told him we could not get financing on their unit because it basically has to paid for in cash due to the city requirements and why we could not go through them with their very high interest rate and we wanted our deposit back. Then the "nasty" John came out and said NOPE! No refund! We talked to his manager who also said NO! This has happened to other people as well after reading some reviews from Yelp to all social media. They sure have a racked going. I am not the type of person who only yelps to complain. I also yelp when a company is good. But I had to post this so hopefully no other person gets ripped off as we did. read more

Dealing with Factory Select was an absolutely horrible experience. At the onset, everything was great...the day they took our deposit. Once we approached the delivery date, nothing but MAJOR issues. I could literally go on and on about how disorganized and quite frankly incompetent their staff is. What stands out most is how our home kept getting delayed by months. Also, they accepted a credit card payment by phone to pay a contractor for installation of the mobile home only to tell us MONTHS afterward (even after the home was delivered) that the $6 K payment for the contractor installation was never actually received. We had no idea that money didn't post to our credit card since we run a construction business and use the credit card quite often for large expenses. Needless to say, it was extremely upsetting to find out we still owed them 6K or we would not get the title to our new home. They refused to take a cent off as compensation for all of the headaches they put us through. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This is a mixed review, the quality of the home is very very good. It was delivered on time, actually a little early, and the price was competitive. The problem started with it not being constructed as ordered and even though there has been from April to Nov of emails/phone calls to correct the problem it has been slow going. Eventually Joshua said I had to pay for alterations and I would be reimbursed, so far nothing. Also I've never received the titles to the halves of the home, so no way to affix to land, again multiple, multiple calls and emails to no avail. Also there is no contact info that I can find for any upper management to go up the chain of command. I was hoping to use Factory Select as a provider of 3/4 homes a year but with this kind of iffy service I'm not going to do it. Unfortunately, because the home is very nice, I will be looking for another vendor for the next projects. Beware of this company, in my opinion the negatives outweigh the positives. read more

Service when purchasing the manufactured home was not an issue, they couldn't have been nicer. Beware of items not included that should be standard like AC in AZ! However, took 6 months for it to be built another 2 months to complete set up (separate contractor but all are very busy and not able to complete set up quickly) and still waiting for manufacturer (Cavco) to come out and complete the items on the 'punch list'. Was told 8 weeks before they could come and now into 10th week with no contact from manufacturer. Luckily the heater worked because it's been cold the month of February!! All told, going into the 9th month. Beware, this is not a quick process, and doesn't appear that the manufacturer cares about the buyer frustration. read more

There was a misunderstanding between Factory Expo and myself regarding my Purchase Agreement. My statements were made in error and without attempting to contact Factory Expo to resolve the situation. Dont go to Factory Expo!!!!! I went to Factory Expo to purchase a park model home. I gave a deposit and attempted to secure financing on my own factory expo would not even respond to the request made from my lenders and pushed me to apply with their preferred lender 21st Mortgage that approved me with extremely high interest and fees. My credit score at the time was 765 transunion. I did not like the offer and told Steve Ludwig the general manager of Factory Expo. of my concerns and that I wanted a second lender to feel comfortable. I could get financing on my own I talked to several lenders that would give me a loan with a much far better rate than 21st, but no one will work with factory expo. I expressed these concerns with Steve and told him I would go forward if he could find one other lender that would work with Factory Expo. He could not and I choose to cancel for lack of funding options and felt between him and 21st Mortgage they were being predatory. Now Steve is giving me a hard time receiving a refund and hes trying to with hold fees and will not give me a definite time when I will receive my monies. The worst part is Steve let me waist my time trying to secure financing when he knew no one would work with them except 21st which I'm sure he has a deal. They are not a true dealer they only over charge to order you a home and up sell you on upgrades that are standard from the dealer. Compare Factory Expos Standard Specs with the Factory Specs listed on Champion.com. If you have already purchased from Factory Expo I'm sure they up charged you for standard items. read more
