This is my second time leaving this company a bad review. The gas to my rental was cut off because the of my neighbor, when I called the people at Mark Browers they agreed it was ridiculous, I didn't receive a call back, so I called them back, and I was told their hands were tied. So they had an answer waiting for me I just wasn't important enough to call back. There are planning to leave me without Gas for over a week meaning I have no heat in the lows of 45 degree weather, can't do any laundry, can't cook any food, don't have any hot water. This is how they will leave you if you rent from them. Save yourself the trouble and find literally any other company. I've since asked for a rent reduction for the days I won't be able to live in the home, but as usual like every other time I call or email, I have no gotten a response. read more

I recently began renting a property managed by Mark Brower Properties. The application experience was amazing. Ronald was extremely helpful through every step of the process. He always kept me informed and knew exactly what was needed. However, I ultimately have to give them 3 stars because the move-in experience the day of was lackluster. We were told we would receive an email with our lockbox code but never did. It was only after calling, emailing, and texting several times the morning of our move-in that we were able to reach someone and get our lockbox code. I do recommend Mark Brower Properties, but try to get a move-in day on a weekday if possible. read more

Mark Brower proper management had been one of the worst experiences as a property owner we have ever had. As an owner living out of state you put a lot of trust in your management. After a tenant move out we put a lot of money to refresh the house painting-blinds-yard trimming-sprinkler repairs. We made a visit and found some of the work incomplete and a very poor job of painting and cleaning up the shades were not fixed- sprinklers not looked at the filters for air conditioning were not even right size. the value of there service is very poor read more

I've only had positive experiences with Mark Brower Properties since moving in to the rental property the beginning of May. I've already left a review for the rental application & move in process which both were exceptional! I recently submitted two maintenance requests, one for a water leak & the other to replace a faulty smoke alarm. My POCs with Mark Brower, Erika & Diane processed both requests and made sure repairs were made in a timely manner. I've been extremely pleased with the professionalism and timeliness of having all my questions /concerns actioned! If I continue to lease for the next few years, I'll only use Mark Brower Properties! Extremely disappointing experience with this property management company. Communication was poor from the beginning--emails and calls often went unanswered for days, if at all. Maintenance issues were either ignored or took an unreasonably long time to address, even for urgent problems. It felt like tenants were treated as an afterthought, with little to no transparency or accountability. I must say, Mark Brower Properties may not be perfect, but they are an office of character and integrity. Our owner left Mark Brower half way through the end of our lease, which will only hurt the home owners in the long run. Marks team took meticulous care of our home, addressed issues in a timely manner, and even when we butted heads, kindness prevailed. It wasn't rare for Mark to pick up the phone and call you personally. He even gave me his personal number during an AC repair situation. After dealing with the move out and On Q properties, I now know what shady and deceptive buisness practices are, and Mark Borwer Properties will never put you in that situation. We've recently transferred from "Arizona's #1 Property Management Company" to Mark Brower. Our transition to Mark Brower was due to communication, execution, and the lack of awareness as to how to handle problems from tenants. Moving to Mark Brower ended up saving our tenants ~$150/mo in fee's that went straight to the management company. The communication from Mark and his team has been top notch, as they try to transfer properties from the _other_ PM company to their portfolio. He also texted my husband and apologized for hanging up on him even though he says he did not remember doing so. I strongly recommend Mike Brower Properties for property management. Our property had been vacant since August 31st. After using two different management companies and experiencing poor to no communications, we went to Mark Brower for help at the very end of November. They quickly got the property relisted on December 5. We got weekly communications from them and on Jan 3 we got notice that our property had been rented. Mark Brower was quick to get the lease application processed, approved and finalized. No delays and it looks like we've got great new tenants. This was surprising as it happened over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. So glad we switched to Mark Brower Properties! read more

I thought that Mark brower was going to be an understandable rental company. Unfortunately I greatly dismiss this upon reviewing their least terms which allows you to not only not have a firearm but no propane or anything short of being only a piece of furniture inside of the house. Aside from that, they did not disclose I was rented a home in a gang affiliated neighborhood. My house has been shot at while I had guests over, there are shootings every weekend, A few throughout the week. Phoenix Police does not come out for shootings unless there's a body. My rent is 2,700. That is CRAZY to pay having to risk my life as a single woman who's not allegedly allowed to own firearms per the lease. (Arizona tenant rights will *always* win over any lease agreement in court) I feel unsafe and unvalued by the landlord. The rental company is no better for not providing any pushback to the landlord for charging that much for a house to get shot at, two teenagers have died within 2 miles of my house and I've only lived here less than 3 months. A total of 10 people have died. Why would you rent me a house and not tell me this, And then tell me my only option might be to break the lease which is not financially viable after I paid 5k to move in??? Update: My landlord still has not provided any safety measures or discounted my rent for deceiving how good the area was. There have been a few more deaths and even a body found in a ditch three and a half miles away. I have children at my house on the weekends. What a lovely experience for them to have growing up. They are also using a pest control service for termites that have been unable to book an appointment with me for 2 and 1/2 months of emailing back and forth on their meld list ... Going to need a phone call as previously stated. I assume you'll be in contact with me per your reply to my review, otherwise I'm going to keep things as is with no security cameras that the landlord would have access to further violating my privacy. And seek out other safety measures and speak with a few people on the matter of the rental as a legally single disabled female. February 2024: I have vacated the property because crimes were committed against me there due to how unsafe the neighborhood was. I had a feeling this rental company would not give me my full deposit back because I vacated early and my suspicions were correct. They found petty reasons to overcharge me 650, such as for weeds I already had serviced and two small messes in kitchen the cleaning company overlooked on accident. You're better off renting from a realtor from WEST USA REALTY, as they've been the only rental company to not charge me for random things only charged me my flat rate rent monthly and no up charges or fees whatsoever and actually return my full deposit and didn't take a single penny. I truly believe without doubt this decision was made with malicious intent by mark Brower Properties and I'm very disappointed + regret that I ever signed a lease with them. I don't know if they had staff overturn or what happened because I see a lot of positive reviews under this one. Regardless, my roommates and I have been tenants of a rental property under Mark Brower since last year and have been extremely frustrated and disappointed in this company. While some individual representatives try their best to be helpful, it has been made abundantly clear that there is a complete lack of communication within the company. We have had very slow and/or incomplete maintenance jobs (one person would come to initiate the job and then no one would come back until we re-contacted them, talking to different people every time), requests for updated laundry appliances were denied until the washer blew up and got water all over our garage, and when the landlord put the house on the market, it was supposed to be the management company's responsibility to inform us. They did not; instead, we were texted by the real estate agent first. It took us a while to trust what was happening because we had all thought the company would have emailed us officially and that the texts were possibly a scam. Fortunately, the landlord and the real estate agent were very amicable and explained to us what was going on. Mark Brower management did not contact us AT ALL until after the photographer had come to take listing photos of the house, which by then was weeks after we initially found out. Lastly, when one of our roommates decided to move out and sublease her room, there were communication and paperwork errors all along the way to the point where it made us really question why the hell we are paying "convenience" fees and "monthly admin" fees for quite literally, minimal to a total lack of service. All in all, really would not recommend. read more

My experience with leasing from Mark Brower Properties has been probably without a doubt the best rental experience I've had. From the start, leasing was easy with well explained details and working with the leasing team was great and had personalized touch. I came across a Mark Brower Property and was fully moved in within less than two weeks which is typically unheard of. During my lease I did have a few questions at times in which I always received prompt and quick respones from anyone on the team. They also have an online portal both for managing your lease, paying rent, submitting maintenance requests, and more. It was so efficient for someone like myself who is always either working on the clock or doing family activities. For the maintenance requests I did have throughout the year, let me just say, wow. I always had someone out to my home in a reasonable amount of time. In the case of scenarios, you wouldn't belive this, but I had the pleasure of speaking directly to Mark on Thanksgiving at 6pm to help troubleshoot when we returned home to discover put water not running properly. His dedication to his tenants is just beyond incredible. Even the outsourced companies and handymen used by Mark Brower are also helpful and friendly. There is a handy man named Les who I met a few times that was just amazing and always left our house fixed whatever the issue was. A HUGE THANK YOU to Diane who helped manage my property. She went above and beyond more than a few times! Also, thank you Iris for always being available to answer my on-the-fly calls and always providing me with support throughout the lease. I personally recommend Mark Brower Properties to ANYONE who is looking for a place to call home that wants a leasing management team that truly cares for you. Marcus is just amazing. Being out of state, I needed eyes, ears, and hands on a rental property we needed to sell. He was fast, thorough, and always a careful steward of our money. He found and vetted excellent contractors to replace the roof; handle HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues; replace the floors; clean up and xeriscape the yard; and paint the interior, among dozens of other tasks to make the place competitive on the market. The place was a good 40-minute drive from his office, but Marcus directly supervised all the work and kept me up to date on every detail. Mark Brower Properties have been managing my house in AZ for about 2 years now to give some background on our relationship. They have been beyond GREAT. Initial Service: Mark, himself, came to my house and explained how property management worked and how the industry worked as a whole. He even walked me through cash-flow scenarios on how it would work and also brought to my attention benefits of rental properties I wasn't even considering. Based on this attention to detail and service and their price to manage the property I decided to go with them. Prepping the house for market for the first time: Now, this is a hard time for any homeowner taking their house and making it a rental property. There are a lot of emotions involved. They went through my property and left no stone unturned. I am based in Chicago so they were on the phone with me and even made me a youtube video of the things I needed to do to make the place more rentable. There was a lot of back and forth and they were very understanding of my emotions and attachment to my house and they worked through that. It took about 6 weeks to make find a tenant. First 2-3 weeks we were improving things like painting, carpet cleaning and such. Repair Requests/Rental Portal (Technolgy): This is where I think Mark Brower Properties really shines. They have a rental portal where you can add money for repairs, view repairs/reports, and look at receipts and make decisions. This has been really helpful as I am in Chicago. Also, you can pull revenue/expense reports here too. Just very easy to use. Also, you can send messages back and forth here too that also go to your email. This a game changer for me. The owners of the home did not take care of the house before we moved in (broken tile, molding shower, irrigation leaks, home smelled, etc.) put everything wrong with the house ON THE MOVE IN FORM. So far, I can say that Mark Brower Properties has been amazing. They have a streamlined and efficient application and onboarding process, and their response time to my many emails and questions has been within the same business day most times. I am super organized and particular about paperwork, and they have not disappointed or made me worry a ball was being dropped somewhere.
