They've been extremely understanding of our situations when presented to them, willing to work with us on solutions, and always very fair. They respond quickly to service requests and are always sure to provide value to their tenants. It was an exhausting experience from beginning to end. The entire tenancy was unnecessarily stressful because routine issues became prolonged ordeals. We encountered repeated delays, unreasonable responses, and a level of disorganization that made it feel as though resolving problems was never a priority. I also had serious concerns about the individuals who were sent into our home. We were never provided with information about who they were, whether they were licensed or qualified to perform the work, or what company they represented. As a tenant with a family and young children, I found that deeply concerning. During one visit, an individual made comments about prior criminal activity that were alarming to hear inside our home. Regardless of the context, that is not something any tenant should experience while strangers are being sent into a residence occupied by a family with children. Overall, the quality of the work, the lack of professionalism, and the apparent absence of oversight left me with very little confidence that tenant safety or well-being was a priority. Renters deserve a home that is maintained, safe, sanitary, and reasonably free from conditions that interfere with everyday living. They deserve timely repairs, qualified and professional service providers, transparent communication, respect for their home and family, and to have legitimate concerns taken seriously rather than dismissed. They also deserve to be treated with professionalism, honesty, and accountability. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. read more

Poorest property management company ever. Not better than slumlords. Glaringly unhealthy/unsafe repairs from clearly unqualified and unlicensed individuals. The service people begrudgingly hired leave frustrated and confused calling them careless for wanting to fix things on the "cheap". They'd rather delay and ignore issues for months and months at a time even if it means damaging their own rental. They aren't qualified for these repairs themselves but they'd wouldn't choose to believe it. I can see that multiple tenants feel the same way by the other reviews here. It's been so disappointing to be doing business with them when all you were looking for was peace in their property. They clearly knew this property was a problem. We rented with them for 11 years we paid the house off with the rent and multiple rent increases . But was the everywhere. We cleaned house at move out top to bottom. Carpets windows floors even the spindles on the canisters on stairs. We better get our full deposit back. Everything is considered wear and tear after the amount of years we were there. I wish I had the choice to put no stars. I have had the worst experience working with a gold trust realtor (Sergei). My family and I were interested in a home we found on their site. We were very quick to get an application in and consistently communicated. Checking in daily to get a status on whether we were going to be considered for the home I was told to wait 2 days as the owners were looking at applications. I checked in with Sergei mid-day the day we were supposed to hear and heard nothing back. After emailing and texting I still have heard nothing and found the home to be in pending status today. To not be considered would have been fine but to not contact me to give me any update is beyond unprofessional and completely inconsiderate to people looking to move quickly. I was referred to this company because my mom has had such a great experience with another realtor at this company. I am beyond disappointed and will never be recommending to anyone I know who may be looking to rent of by buy a home. Terrible way to represent. read more

Worse customer service EVER! We have been trying to find a house to rent for 4 months. A house popped this morning, within 10 min I called to set appt to see it. I spoke to Jin Shao who told me she was putting a lockbox on at noon for me to send my ID and she would send me the code to get in. I was there at 12:30 called her to ask for an application and she told me it rented. Then I get back to work and 2 hours later I get a text that it has been rented. Extremely rude to not let me know, she knew I was leaving work to see it. read more

I had a great experience with Gold Trust Reality as a renter. I worked directly with Sergei Perkovski and had no issues. I would say I was an average tenant, but not perfect. I always paid my rent on time but had occasional issues from HOA for not pulling my weeds often enough and taking too long to pull in the garbage cans, ect. Even with these issues, communication was professional and never escalated into a problem. I liked that I just dealt with one person throughout my lease. My previous experience with property management is that it takes forever to get in touch with someone, and when you finally do, they aren't much help. I was able to get a hold of Sergei by email or text and usually had a response by the end of the day, if not the next day. Upon moving in, I found a few things that needed to be fixed, and after letting him know, they were fixed within the week. Midway into my lease, I got married and needed to add my husband and his dog to the lease. I was dreading that because I thought it would be a hassle, but Sergei made it a pretty easy process. It looks like a lot of people have had a crappy experience with Gold Trust Reality but I was happy with the service, and would recommend them. read more

Warning. Do not use this company. Here is my horror story. I found a home that I was interested in renting and contacted the person renting it out from Gold Trust (Yan Mei Tu). She said in poor English that she was renting this for a friend of hers who lives in CA. I made arrangements to view the house and found it to be a good fit. At that time "Mary" (Her English name I guess?) emailed me the rental application and let me know what we needed to provide. Everything seemed good. We made plans to meet later that day to turn in our paperwork. When we met, as she was going through our paper work, she kept exclaiming about how I made more than my husband and how that "was not right" and that he should be making more than me....As if that wasn't insulting enough she started asking about our cleanliness and after showing her a picture of our dog who was laying on our bed (granted it was not made) she said if it was her renting the place as the owner she wouldn't rent to us because she can tell we aren't neat people. She said that she could tell because our furniture was "not very nice" and had the nerve to say that maybe we could have a yard sale to sell our stuff in order to buy nicer new stuff before we moved in.....AND THEN said but maybe the owner will overlook it because I make so much money. At that time I looked at my husband in shock and he said he was "ready to go" as was I. We picked up our applications, documents and 80 bucks for the fees and walked out. Bummed we missed out on a good house, but SO GLAD we dodged a bullet in having to deal with these people. If I could give zero stars I would. The un-professionalism was astounding to me. read more

I used this company on two occasions, once to purchase a house and the other time to help manage our rental property. The purchasing experience was overall pleasant. The agent, who was also the owner of this company, was professional and resourceful. The property manager was another story. We had to let her go after nearly two years of mediocre service. She was neither communicative nor professional. Our first tenant left on short notice and the property manager insisted that because the tenant was relocating for a government job, we could not take his security deposit even when he unilaterally broke the lease. Ok. We let it go because the agent found a new tenant soon enough. Earlier this year, we asked the property manager to schedule the annual AC tune up. I contacted her three times and each time she gave me a different excuse (out of town, will take care of it asap, and the third time, simply claimed that she did not receive any instruction from me). Finally she told me to make the arrangement myself. Ok. I called the tenant to schedule the service and to my surprise, I also found out that the property manager had not discussed renewal with the tenant when the current lease was about to expire in two weeks. Per our contract, we were supposed to receive quarterly reports from her. So far, we received two. The very last one came at our request when we terminated her service. Interestingly, tenant just asked this morning about where to send the rent from now on. I recall receiving an e-mail last week from the agent stating that she had already instructed tenant to pay us directly. OK.... These little things really bother me. We are not picky owners; just need someone who can do the job. For all these reasons and others, I would not recommend the property management service of this company. read more

We rented a property for a little over 2 years through Gold Trust Realty with Amy Haray as our property manager. Amy always responded to questions and requests immediately. In the rare occasion that service needed to be performed, it was done quickly and no call-back was needed. It was our first experience renting (we moved from FL, where we owned a home for 10 years) and we couldn't be more pleased with the process. Once we decided to have our own home built, we let Amy know and she was extremely helpful with the process of ending our lease. Amy has gone above and beyond our expectations of what it would be like to rent a property in one of the fastest rental markets in the country. He was extremely prompt, thorough, and professional. Is zero an option? I have been renting from Gold Trust for many years and when a maintenance issue comes up I always have to send a certified letter then threaten to have it fixed and deduct the amount from rent. That finally gets them to send there unlicensed and probably undocumented handyman. The only reason why I continue to rent from them is because of the ordeal of having to find a new home and then moving. Jenny will claim she sends documents by certified mail and when you ask for proof she ignore you. She can barely speak English and tries to make you feel stupid. She will never meet in person as she is scared of men and only tries to deal with my wife because she thinks she can get one over on her. If you deal with Gold Trust do it at your own risk knowing that you will hate your time under their roof. read more

Requests would go unanswerd for weeks at a time requiring multiple follow ups to finally get a response. When we did get a response they were unprofessional at best. The final straw was how the mismanaged an eviction. No communication on the property during the process and when I finally switched to a new management company I was shocked at the damages they showed us. I share the same opinion as the other reviewer. Their property management team is atrocious and dishonest. The house I rented from them had not been cleaned prior to my moving in. Complaints made were ignored. Requests for basic home improvements were ignored (The windows had no screens). When it was time to move out, the home was cleaned thoroughly prior to the final walk through and giving the keys to the landlord. From the time the property manager walked into the house, she tried to find reasons not to return my deposits, mainly pointing out things that were not cleaned prior to my moving in and had undergone 2 years of normal wear and tear. The property manager attempted to only return a minimal portion of my security and cleaning deposits. I had to threaten to sue them in order to have a more reasonable amount of my deposits returned. The property managers are inept and dishonest. They could not even fill out a lease renewal correctly with the correct tenants on the lease. They "lost" the move-in checklist that I filled out when I moved in detailing the condition of the house. Gold Trust Realty does not operate with ethical business practices. They will try to cheat you out of your money. They are unable to do the most basic of property management tasks correctly and with integrity. Avoid at all costs. read more

I looked on the mls my real estate agent sent and they had taken the house off the market not even an hour after we had paid them an app. Fee then after she told my agent the house was already rented to someone, I called her to ask her why we weren't approved. Because of her poor English she thought I was trying to put in a new application for the house she had already taken off the market!and was telling me to drop of the cash.
