Well, this was a must stop for my goddaughters from Vancouver while in NYC and I guess they had a great time because we stayed for over 3 hours. Part of the time, we also enjoyed some Columbian snacks from one of the few vendors serving food and beverages. There were some tables that happened to be under the sun, so we had a nice break at the end of the shopping to rest our feet and refuel. All in all, it was a good time for everyone.

These almost invariably seem to come in lovely, unique pots and seem reasonably priced. I've often thought that the prices would be reasonable just for the pots themselves, much less for the whole package of plant in lovely, non-plain white plastic pot! Staff knowledge of item history or other information you may wish to glean on their products can vary depending upon who you get. They weren't able to help me figure out which plants they had might be acceptable/safe to have with cats, so had to make some notes and do my own research and come on back. Wasn't that big a deal, though--any excuse to stop back here is a welcome one!

Quite honestly, this is as good as vintage shopping gets…read more Unearth is the thrift shop for people who love quality items at a good price (anyone who likes thrift shops), AND it somehow manages to also be the thrift shop for people who don't even want to be in a thrift shop (all those people's boyfriends, husbands, children, and/or uninterested friends). First of all, whoever is curating the selection here has seriously excellent taste. I was just resigned to following my wife and several other members of her family on a tour of the neighborhood boutiques, and I couldn't help but be intrigued immediately. The shop is MUCH larger than it looks from the street, and it houses an eclectic and funky mix of furniture, artwork, footwear, knicknacks,, jewelry, mugs, home decor...not just women's clothing, as you find at many shops. Basically, there was a lot for me to check out as my wife perused (and bought from) the clothing racks. There's also a $5 rack, which anyone can get down with. And when you finally get bored because your wife is much slower than you are, they have a very comfortable couch (for sale) and an original Nintendo (not for sale, for play) hooked up to the flatscreen on the wall. BRILLIANT. Yes, I did play the first Super Mario Bros until I was dragged out. No, I only made it to 8-2. Yes, I'm losing my touch. Yes, Unearth is the spot.

Unearth Vintage changed my view on vintage shops and I've found an appreciation for this store! Firstly, it's got all sorts of cool knick knacks, ranging from furniture to bags and shoes. There is a modestly sized clothing section as well, though the prices are slightly on the higher end (atleast for the items I purchased). Still, they were great quality, so I didn't mind. The staff is very friendly also. Overall, I recommend checking out this fun spot!
