Anything you need, Green Village has it...somewhere in the piles of goods! Listen, this place isn't…read moreorganized so don't go in expecting a fancy vintage store layout. If you've been to Reuse America, similar idea except more clothes and lower prices. They have clothing, kitchen gear, mugs, glassware, chairs and furniture- you name it. They have a great selection of women's clothes with sweaters around $10 and coats ranging $20-$40. There are vintage gems in there, but also your typical Forever 21 from 2007. Go in expecting to stay a while, and you'll find treasures! The staff is actually quite friendly in my opinion, just be kind to them and it will come back to you.

A boatload of options for every type of furniture. Heaping piles of vintage (and some old &…read morebeat-up) dressers, file cabinets, chests, china closets; a mountain of office chairs, wooden chairs, dining chairs. So many paintings, shoes, a ton of books (really great children's books in there) and an absurd amount of VCRs (I guess they're considered vintage, but who wants them?). So you catch my drift. Plenty of options in this huge space. Get lost in it for hours. I ended up not purchasing anything since I didn't have much time to sift through, so I can't share on service or pricing but I did notice some overpriced junk. However, I will be returning with my nifty negotiation skills.

Pretty good prices and a lovely selection. I'm glad this small business is near my apartment. I…read morereally enjoy popping in for a look. I will coming back to again.

So I'm walking through Park Slope with my Dad after a lovely lunch on 5th Ave when I see a shop…read morecalled "Trailer Park." That doesn't happen too often, right? So without much thought at all I declared that we needed to go inside and started across the street. What could Dad say? He gave me a look that clearly said "you're weird" and followed me in. Once inside we were greeted by dozens of items that I swear are in my Grandfathers basement right now. Dad must have been reading my mind b/c he actually said "I think you're grandfather has a couple of those in the basement" while pointing to a set of vinyl suitcases. The entire store is filled, floor to ceiling, with vintage pieces of all sizes and shapes. Big ticket items like tables, chairs and trunks to smaller accessories of baskets & picture frames. The layout and arrangement made it hard to navigate the store and what was more confusing was the location (I think) of the cash register & counter area... It's hidden behind a huge pile of stuff so you can't even see the front door if you're sitting behind the counter. Oh and we were in the shop for a good ten minutes and I don't think I saw the owner/manager once. I though that was weird.. and I can't forget to mention- I found the store to have a bit of a musty smell... which makes sense if you think about the items inside. While I don't think I'd purchase anything it was a cool shop to walk through and brought back memories of Gramps. If you're looking for some nostalgia- stop by Trailer Park
