My husband was suffering with Rhinophyma due to having Rosacea that did not respond well to medications and also being of Eastern European descent. It wasn't horrible at first, but in the past two years, it took on a new life and actually caused him many issues with his breathing. His dermatologist referred him to a number of plastic surgeons, but for one reason or another the doctors were doing specialty work and as his was for a medical reason, he was having a time. He was given two more referrals, one of them being for Dr. Kanter. My husband said that the office was very nice and staff was very friendly. Dr. Kanter looked at his nose and found that my husband's nostrils were being constricted by the growths. It was decided that he would need surgery to remove them and to reconstruct his nose. He had the surgery three weeks ago and what a wonderful job Dr. Kanter did! My husband is so very pleased as am I. Before and after the surgery-actually he even called the night BEFORE the surgery and one other time....totally unheard of(!), Dr. Kanter spoke to both my husband and I at the outpatient center, letting us know what he would be doing and answering any concerns that we might have. He also called personally to check in to see how hubby was doing the evening that he had the surgery. Always very pleasant and wonderful bedside manner! I know both of us were so very impressed, but what's more impressive is Dr. Kanter's work! My husband printed him about seven or so pictures of his nose before all this happened and he really was able to capture what it looked like previously. He has given my husband his life back and certainly a lot more confidence....the big joke around our house right now is he has the 19 year old nose on the 64 year old face! =P Just a side note, he had a little pain post surgery, but really none to speak of afterwards. Never took anything (even though he did get a prescription) beyond over the counter relief. If you are considering any sort of reconstructive work, we both would recommend him highly!

That should've been my first sign to head for the hills. Anyway, the anesthesiologist came there to sedate me and must not be given me enough. I awakened to the dr and a few other people trying to turn me over because he had apparently dropped me on my hip? One of my hips was SERIOUSLY flattened during the procedure. I looked like I was deformed. One hip was completely flat and the other round. I was in total disbelief and was told I would heal and the fat would settle. Bull----!!! I went to another dr who refused to even touch me. He told me I needed to get more lipo to now fill that area with fat that I was dropped on. Now here is where things got interesting. Dr Shureih agreed I was in shambles due to his bs procedure and agreed to fix the issue but at another charge!!! He saw I was jacked up and instead of graciously fixing the problem and being grateful I wasn't dragging him to court about this deformity, he greedily charged me for another anesthesiologist and a "discounted" rate for additional lipo I would NOT have otherwise needed had he NOT jacked me up in the first place!!!! If that were fair, he could go around messing everyone up with the intentions of making more money to revise HIS mistakes!! I was left with no choice since no other dr would correct his mishap and I was stuck with a deformed hip. Even after his corrective surgery and time to heal, my hips still aren't even from being dropped on that table. Do NOT trust this back alley guy. She had her photos in her lap that she fumbled thru to find one that remotely fit my needs. The antique small box she used for a computer was way across her desk so you had no close up veiw of those photos. She again was unable to pull up anything that pertained to what i needed. The lap photos were horrible!! All she seemed to know to do for a breast lift was the extreme Anchor method with long scars under the boobs to the arm pits!!! Her tummy tucks had puckles at the end on each side. Her general attitude was one of she knew what was best for you; instead of trying to explore what it was I wanted to achieve with my hard earned money!!!!I I already informed one of the physicians to stop recommending her.
