Bon Secours Cancer Center in Mauldin, SC is what my review is based on…read more My late spouse had terminal cancer and was given chemotherapy and they never monitored his heart. He was too thin to even be placed on chemotherapy. The issue is not with the doctor. The issue was with the care team and the head nurse was a very cold individual who could care less. When coming and going he would speak to the nurses at the station where the care team was located only a few spoke back out of their kindness. The ones that did not speak God bless because you will have to answer to God. The best solution would have been to keep him in the hospital to monitor his condition before sending him home without providing information that I could have had a homecare aid come in to help me with him. I had to take care of him by myself and needed help in how to help him. My heart is broken and there is more that I can say but God knows all about it. This is a coldhearted world with a lot of people who just do not care. Not all the nurses were non-caring. There were more that cared and some of them are just overworked. I would like to work with the cancer care hospital to make improvements. He is a doctor because he cares not because of the paycheck. The day he told me there was nothing else he could do for me other than prescribing medications he literally shed tears with me and my mother-in-law. The facility is always clean The staff is always friendly if you need anything done upstate oncology is where it's at
