I was in between jobs, so I was self-pay. I paid for the visit but for nothing. I was told that I could not be treated, The she could not pull my blood, etc unless I had insurance and would refuse the prescriptions that I have been taking for years, unless I came back every 3 months, pay for the visit, and be told there was nothing she could do. So what was the reason for the visit? Money? I am writing this today because I am yet to be told that my prescriptions cant be refilled unless I come in and pay again. The Pharmacist had tried to reach the office to advise that it is imperative for me to have these filled and the office won't respond. I'd spoken with the office Manager who apologized and said that I should not have been told this and should be treated whether or not I had insurance or not and be billed. But that did no good. She's promised to allow me to see another provider in the office. This didn't happen. So here I am, the NP is refusing to accept my prescription request for the pharmacy Horrible Practice!

My diagnosis was later identified with PCR/ molecular testing. I had a slow growing, unusual mold infection that was life threatening. Fungal culture doesn't always grow out organisms. If this doctor had been a good listener and truly wanted to help me he could have gotten the state or CDC involved to see why my skin had become black and why I had lesions on my skin. So many times minorities are treated very badly by physicians and ignored. I would not recommend Dr Peterson.

The lady at the check in counter didn't see me standing there, so I go to the other window and she tells me to go BACK to the first window. The lady then said "oh sorry I didn't see you" Which I heard her say to others checking in as well. Also during my check in process, the ladies behind the counter were dividing out their Starbucks order that just arrived while I was standing there waiting and waiting....... Then in the room when I was waiting for the Dr, I heard her knock and go into another room and said "Oops I'm in the wrong room, Sorry, I'll be right with you" Then she knocked on my door and came in. In a very rapid race my concerns were addressed and said a biopsy was needed on two very small perfectly round moles. Not sure why she wasn't interested in a large, asymmetrical one I have? I feel like my visit was rushed and I didn't have as thorough of a mole body scan as I should have. Also, why didn't the biopsy take place then...I was told I had to come back which is nuts! Normally, biopsies take place then while you are there...Now I have to miss more unpaid work time and spend more gas money to go back! When I checked out, THAT lady had no idea what I was checking out for! She asked what I was seen for, do I need to come back, what do I need to come back for, when do I want to come back, etc etc. I felt like I was in a clown show, like, hello, shouldn't all that info be in the computer? Why do I have to say out loud what I was there for and why and if I have to come back? I was mind-boggled. That whole place seems chaotic and nuts and quite frankly I want a second opinion!!

I was sent to the office Manager and told her about our experience. She told me that I would receive a call back from her Yesterday morning 8/7 at the very latest. She told me she would investigate and call me back. It is nearly noon on 8/8 and I have not heard back. I called back and was told she was not in the office and that they would message her, but no one was available to assist me. We ended up having to pay for my daughter's medication out of pocket without insurance and it was hundreds of dollars. I was assured by Tricare that this medication would have been covered had the P.A. had been completed. The pharmacy provided me with a printout that the nurse in question actually cancelled the prior authorization and never completed it, even though she assured me she missed her lunch to complete it. The office manager is aware of the entire situation. Currently my view of this business has not changed. If anything, the situation is now worse. I would not recommend anyone to use this physicians office.
