Shaded outdoor patio with tables and chairs if you have the time to drink your coffee here.

Stopped in for an iced coffee after a long hot August day visitng Mesa Verde National Park. Wasn't expecting much in a small town like Mancos so this place really deserves mention The barista was very pleasant and answered my query about their Fahrenheit Freeze (aka espresso creamsicle). I ended up ordering an Iced Coffee. I got my choice of Dark Roast or Medium Roast coffee and to my surprise, they used frozen coffee cubes instead of regular ice cubes to cool down the drink so it didn't get diluted! They asked if I wanted room for cream- yes, please- and when I asked if they had oatmilk, they offered it at no extra charge. That beats Starbucks! Based on the great taste of my iced coffee and the care put into making it, I'm sorry I didnt buy a bag of their house roasted beans. Not far off Hwy 160, Fahrenheit Coffee Roasters and Espresso Bar is a hidden gem and well worth stopping for your next cuppa when you're in the area. There's even an outside patio you can sip your coffee in leisure if you have the time. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place in every regard. They roast their own coffee and make the food on site. The owners, Matt and Linda, are terrific hosts.

The gluten-free pumpkin bread is amazing! The smoothie was not milkshake consistency, but it tasted good.

I am not a huge fan of places advertising "ceremonial grade matcha" so we avoided the matcha lattes (matcha isn't even graded in this way in Japan, it just feels like clunky Western marketing?) I got the smoked trout and my friends got the avocado toast and a quiche lorraine - all absolutely delish! The bakery case looked super enticing but we were stuffed after brunch. I heard from one of my friends who (Mancos local) that Moondog specializes in French pastries. If I'm ever back to visit, I'll definitely have to give their pastries a try! The person who welcomed us when we first stepped in was super friendly. Otherwise, the servers were a little bit short with us and not the friendliest (we asked for a carafe of water, said thank you so much when it arrived, and the waitress said nothing and simply glared at us).

We started with the steamed mussels served in a heavenly coconut broth, along with the shrimp cocktail and squash blossoms. Every appetizer was outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The coconut broth with the mussels was especially memorable. It was so delicious that we wanted to savor every last drop. It was one of those meals where everything we ordered just kept getting better. For our entrées, I had the Skuna Bay Salmon and my boyfriend had the Colorado Rack of Lamb, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked beautifully and full of flavor. We genuinely enjoyed every bite. I had mentioned in the reservation that we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, and the restaurant went above and beyond by complimenting a flourless chocolate cake for his birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture and the perfect way to end an already fantastic meal. And then there was our server, Marissa. She was absolutely lovely, warm, attentive, and genuinely wonderful throughout the entire evening. Our water glasses were never empty, and she even scraped the crumbs from our table. Those little details may seem insignificant, but they make such a difference when you're enjoying a special dinner. Marissa provided exactly the kind of thoughtful, polished service you hope for when dining at a nice restaurant. Our table was also lovely. We were seated with a view overlooking Colorado Avenue. It was late and quiet by the time we had dinner, but it was still a nice view and added to the charm of the evening. From the food and service to the thoughtful birthday gesture and our pleasant table location, everything about our evening at New Sheridan Chop House was exceptional. Without question, this was the best meal we had in Telluride. If you're visiting Telluride and looking for a restaurant that delivers delicious food and genuinely attentive hospitality, I highly recommend New Sheridan Chop House. We would absolutely return!
