Was not expecting a place like this out here. I'm from Austin and this place made me feel at home. Fantastic quality delicious food. Beautiful place. Some of my favorite products. And the staff was so fun and helpful. We got 3 different kinds of sandwiches, toasted. Chili, pea soup, chicken curry salad, Asian slaw, broccoli salad, tortilla salad, almond flour cookies and lots of fruit and some drinks we'd never tried before. Everything was great. I AM SO GLAD THEY ARE HERE!! SO VERY GLAD, that I drive over from Cortez regularly. Those "premade refrigerator sandwiches" another reviewer bemoaned? They are then custom-grilled (maybe with love?, because they come out delicious!). There are seats outside on the upstairs patio. Gaze at Mancos Valley and Mesa Verde while you munch on a grilled sammich and a little bag of dark chocolate-covered cherries. Go on, do it; you won't be sorry! No place else to get many of these foods, and every time I go there I feel like my brain and heart shake out the dust and take a deep long breath. read more

Was visiting town for the day and looking for a market to prepare dinner back in Dolores, so was glad to find Zuma! They had a nice selection of fresh produce, frozen meat & fish, and a bit of everything else you'd want to prepare a healthy meal. Zuma has delicious food. It's a small cozy market with a cafe like room on the side. We love the sandwiches and soups in the "cafe". I highly recommended browsing in the market while waiting for your lunch. The people are friendly, the market has a wide variety of food despite its size, and the deli cafe has a wide variety of specialty sandwiches. The deli makes amazing sandwiches and other ready-made food items (absolutely LOVE their tabouli salad!) hit the spot when I need a quick meal. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Zuma's has gone the extra nine yards for all of us customers; I have been purchasing in-store and have been impressed with the cleanliness and other protocols they have been following. I don't hand out five star reviews for restaurants, being a restaurant employee myself. But I have to say, for what it is - and where it is - Zuma really earns it. How we even came across this little place is a fun story. My band was playing at the jazz festival in Telluride. We were driving through Mancos on the way back to Durango, where we would catch a flight. We had mentioned this to an older couple on the gondola in Telluride, and they told us that we simply had to stop at Zuma for breakfast. They especially recommended the breakfast burritos. The staff was super friendly - they clearly weren't used to having 8 people place orders all at once, but nevertheless cranked out our food. While we waited, we poked around the adjoining grocery store and bought coffee at the coffee bar. Good, complex, local roasts out of Mancos, Durango, and maybe a few other Western Slope towns. The food was worth the wait. My breakfast burrito had potatoes, eggs, cheese, and this spicy rosemary chorizo. Maybe it was sage. Whatever it was, it was the best damn breakfast burrito I've ever had. Hands down. I almost forgot - the wood burning. While we waited, a man approached us, one of the proprietors of the restaurant, and struck up friendly conversation. He ended up offering us a gig at Zuma if we were ever in Mancos again, and branding our initials, stylized, into the coffee bar. Super, super, super cool. Long story short: they had me once at burritos. Now, I'd go back for those and much more. read more

They had a ton of flavor and you could tell the ingredients were very fresh! They had several vegetarian options and gluten free items as well. This spot is definitely worth checking out. The selection is awesome- both in packaged and fresh goods. The coffee was great as well and so was the tuna salad sandwich I got from the cold case. I felt like it was something I would have made for myself at home- everything was perfect. The cashier that works there manages the register and the cafe and does it with a smile. She was so helpful and sweet and easily handled the customer load. I had a great experience there and would recommend it to anyone passing by! read more

The breakfast burritos are tasty. The chai is yummy. Both are reasonably priced. The kids love to walk there and pick up an organic soda every once in a while. Good selection of natural foods and they have our normal shampoo in bulk. I will grab an odd ingredient or 2 if I'm in a pinch for dinner but can't afford to buy the bulk of our groceries there as the prices are definitely more expensive than other places. I would find myself there practically every day if the prices on actual groceries were even a tad bit lower. read more

This place had me really excited when we pulled into Mancos, but I was a bit disappointed. Sorry, yelpers, but I'm not quite as wild about it as you are. The grocery variety is only ok. There was some local organic produce, but not much. I am willing to pay more for quality and organics, but $7 for strawberries is way too high when you can get the same ones (Driscoll) for half that in Cortez at the City Market. I was sad to not find enough things to restock my cooler with...we drove back to Cortez and were able to get a much more solid natural foods selection there (City Market again), for half the price. Amazing little grocer with all the essentials you need. Stopped in here on our Colorado road trip and grabbed an almond milk latte, chipotle goat and fete cheese, cured meats and hand made soaps that smell delicious. We really love this place! Lot's of selection. Very helpful staff. We loved their coffee. Check out their bar with all of the brands in it. We went back the next morning and had one of their breakfast burritos, They were excellent! While we were eating 300 head of cattle were brought down the street right in front of the store. We were traveling home from Mesa Verde and stopped in Mancos for food. So we were pleasantly surprised to find Zuma's with the deli and the great grocery attached. The food was very good, the staff very friendly and the gluten free food was an incredible find for us. And then there are the coffee options. We had some with our meal and took others to go.
