Every appetizer was outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The coconut broth with the mussels was especially memorable. It was so delicious that we wanted to savor every last drop. It was one of those meals where everything we ordered just kept getting better. For our entrées, I had the Skuna Bay Salmon and my boyfriend had the Colorado Rack of Lamb, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked beautifully and full of flavor. We genuinely enjoyed every bite. I had mentioned in the reservation that we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, and the restaurant went above and beyond by complimenting a flourless chocolate cake for his birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture and the perfect way to end an already fantastic meal. And then there was our server, Marissa. She was absolutely lovely, warm, attentive, and genuinely wonderful throughout the entire evening. Our water glasses were never empty, and she even scraped the crumbs from our table. Those little details may seem insignificant, but they make such a difference when you're enjoying a special dinner. Marissa provided exactly the kind of thoughtful, polished service you hope for when dining at a nice restaurant. Our table was also lovely. We were seated with a view overlooking Colorado Avenue. It was late and quiet by the time we had dinner, but it was still a nice view and added to the charm of the evening. From the food and service to the thoughtful birthday gesture and our pleasant table location, everything about our evening at New Sheridan Chop House was exceptional.
