My only gripe is that on at least two occasions I had mail at the office for at least two days a piece and was never notified that it was there (although the claim is that tenants are suppose to receive a call if they have packages waiting). When it comes to maintenance I have yet to have a positive experience. Due to this I've requested that I be called prior to their arrival and that we arrange for them to come when I am home. The calling ahead of time has been spotty, I can say the last time they came I was called; but the two times prior I was not. I have come home to my kitchen being covered in paint dust, my trash can being dirtied by paint, shoes on my counter, a flooded muddied bathroom, soaked rugs placed on dry rugs, my items moved from an area unrelated to the problem area etc. I have lived in many places and know it is best to stay professional and polite or things will progress to hell. I am actually a pretty pleasant person, but I have finally lost my patience. If I have any more issues with maintenance for the remainder of my lease (nearly a yr left) I will definitely not resign my lease for the following year. Management was responsive and timely with things like maintenance requests. They raised my rent every year $25/month and claimed this was for maintenance. They also entered my apartment multiple times per year to do "preventative maintenance". Over the years it became impossible to even get regular needed maintenance. I had multiple instances of my air conditioning going out and people not wanting to come repair it or leave a window unit not attached to the windows. Fast forward to me moving out. I moved because of my job, but likely wouldn't have stayed in this apartment as it was getting more expensive and there was no maintenance done to upkeep it. I moved out on 6/9, I was told I'd receive a prorated refund for the rest of June's rent. Instead it took multiple phone calls and emails over several weeks for me to receive a check for $175 that was nowhere close to the $600+ it should have been. Effectively I was lied to, stolen from, or both. I also only received $30 of my security deposit refund. Large deductions were for things like the blinds, which I was told on several of those "preventative maintenance" visits that they were measuring and going to install new ones. The icing on the cake is them charging me $120 of my security deposit to paint the ceilings. The only thing wrong with the ceiling was due to their own shoddy work. A couple years into my lease an upstairs neighbor drilled into the wall hitting a pipe causing water damage in my apartment below. Instead of repainting the whole ceiling they repainted only patches of what was damaged. Clearly they can't rent the apartment with an unfinished paint job of the ceiling and I get to pick up the tab. Tl;dr: This company will lie to you, charge you extra money for no reason and provide a subpar living experience. All while lacking basic communication skills.

We moved across the country on June 4, six weeks after reporting the issue, and the gas leak was still ongoing. A contractor later told us the levels were severe enough that we were fortunate a major incident had not occurred. The owner's contractor also improperly replaced the gas line with an undersized one, according to Spire, and I was the person contacting Spire throughout the process. They let me know that the pipe the contractor replaced was 1/4th inch too small and could lead to carbon monoxide or gas buildup in the lines. During the nine months we lived there, two additional gas leaks occurred in other areas of the system. After spending over $10,000 to move and paying rent for May while the house sat vacant, Stephanie Olsen told me over the phone that "this isn't working out" and that we would need to find another place if we continued being "ungrateful." We ultimately moved out early after 10 months, and paid April 2026 rent while the property was vacant and we were in a new rental. The house itself had numerous issues: filthy vents filled with years of dust and mold, insect infestations (basement had roaches, beetles and grasshoppers) requiring extermination, and a failing sump pump system with drain flies that contributed to a very strong basement odor. The home was at times uninhabitable due to the gas smell, causing headaches and dizziness for both me and my Mom, and we paid out of pocket for hotel stays. This experience was emotionally and financially exhausting. After being threatened with eviction, do you really think I felt comfortable reporting every issue with the house? Of course not. We had to pay for an exterminator due to a hornet and grasshopper infestation, a plumber for a failing sump pit motor infested with drain flies / worms, which also contributed to the basement odor. The list goes on but my point is - this was a nightmare both emotionally and financially for us.
