They told us to just show up at station 31 and the firemen would be thrilled to give the kids a tour. I asked if i needed to call and make an appointment and he said no just show up. Obviously i can understand if a firetruck isnt there as it is a small station. However when we went this afteenoon around 11:30 the firemen were in a training -- again, no problem. We have lived in fox mill the last 30 years and when we had a flood in our basement this summer and the trucks from starion 31 rolled up they could not have been more of jerks. Literally saying "wheres the waterline" its like THATS WHY WE ARE CALLING YOU AND DOMINION POWER. This time i gave them another chance and again they were the most inconsiderate and rude people i have ever come in contact with. I have never seen anything like it. He basically told these kids that they wouldnt be back til 6 due to training and i needed to make an appointment which was completely the opposite of what the other station had said. Again, not a problem they werent there. We get it. It was the "can i help you?" Attitude from start to finish we saw while dealing with him. He was literally shooing these adults and kids i had just rallied to the fire station away. I was so upset and could not get this gut stomach feeling of disappointment off of my sons face. I was so embarrassed when i got home i decided to call them. Spoke to a pleasant women on the phone about the service i got and she asked me if i would like to speak to the gentleman i spoke to this morning. I said absolutely! I Waited on the phone for fifteen mins. I hung up the phone and called them back 12-15 times. I couldnt believe i was being handed off and then ignored. I decided to drive over there. I mean what if there was an emergency?! I couldnt believe people who serve our country were treating people who live in their own community this way. I rang the doorbell still calling and no one came to the door. Im trying to schedule an appointment to do a tour for my sons birthday. Im trying to figure out who works here. What in the world is this?! Are they hiding inside! are you afraid of a mom? I walked around to the back of the fire station and could hear voices. I saw a door open and a man whips out his phone and starts filming me!!!! I said WHAT?! Im not causing anyone harm i just want to speak to someone who works here because when i drove home with the kiddos and moms for my sons birthday i saw a firetruck inside when i was told they wouldnt be back until 6. I was so enraged by this man who by the way CLEARLY WORKS THERE EVEN THOUGH HE IS SAYING HE DOESNT WORK THERE. I told him im not here to try and get inside or cause trouble i just want to express the way my family and son were treated on his birthday. The guy literally shut the door in my face and said he was going to call the police. For ringing the door and calling the station? Station 31 is without a doubt the worst fire station in all of fairfax county. I have never seen such assholes in my entire life. We no longer want fire trucks, my son will never want to be a fireman for the rest of his life and i know that they are unreliable selfish people, especially the people that work there. Coming from a military family i am absolutely appalled. Never bring your children here or there hopes and dreams will be crushed and ruined for eternity. They should be getting no stars ar all.

this fire station is great and is always helping the communityread more

Darryl did his best to keep me at ease during testing but with my marriage at Stake that wasn't really going to happen even though I knew I wasn't going to lie. Ultimately I passed, and although it may not convince my wife to trust me it certainly isn't because of any failure by the staff here. Customer Service 5 star, Staff conduct before and after exam 5 star, they went above and beyond. I even asked them to email the results directly to my wife since I knew she would claim that I manipulated the document. If you have to take a Poly you may as well take one from someone who has been doing it for years and runs the Virginia School of Polygraph. Only thing I would do differently is I would have asked if they could write up a document dictating how polygraph isn't like the movies and cannot be manipulated. if I had asked that they send that with the results I'm sure they would have obliged.

Then tried to trick me into admitting to something I didn't do. Frustratedly, he finally dismissed me and said he'll look over the results more later. To get my test results I had to mail him $27 and he mailed me back a CD which arrived shattered (could have happened in the mail but I think it was intentional) and when I called to tell him he did not answer and will not return my calls. I don't know why an ex-police officer doing pre-employment polygraph testing for HIS PREVIOUS EMPLOYER is not immediately shut down as a conflict of interest. He's an interestin man to read about.
