We decided to have our ENTIRE house tiled with wood plank tile (2,200 Sq Ft.) and new baseboards between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays while we were living in it with all of our furniture, etc. After carefully reviewing all of our Tile Company options, we decided on using Fairfax Floors. When we arrived at their showroom in Sarasota they were knowledgeable, friendly, and had a vast selection to choose from. Very competitive pricing too. The installers were gracious and very respectful during the entire 4 weeks they were in our home. The floors look beautiful. May I recommend that you think twice however, living in your home if you decide to tile the entire home. There is no way around it being disruptive. Conor was our sales rep and he went above and beyond- he came to our house after I got off work because I work late (thank you conor) and dropped off samples. Once we picked the flooring we liked he even drove the baseboards out to me so I could sand and paint them prior to install. You don't get that kind of service anywhere else. Conor was in touch with me all day to ensure I was happy with their progress. They even worked hard to get them to install on a weekend since I work min-fri i healthcare and there is no flexibility with my schedule. Now here is where I want to brag the most Their installers- WOW- We want to give a big shoutout to Fransisco, Franklin and a third third gentleman I forgot his name. Their product is great we went with the aqua shield Barnwood luxury vinyl plank but it's about the installers who do the real work. These guys had such attention to detail, they removed the current trim on my cabinets laid the floor down and then put the trim back up. They even removed our toilets so the flooring was seamless. I cannot recommend this company any more than I am right now. We will be using them in the future to do our stairs and laundry room and I will be requesting those three gentlemen again. You can tell they work together very well I could hear them all day laughing and talking. It takes a lot to impress me and I did not have one time where I felt that they were doing below average work. These three gentlemen did above average and I am the attention to detail person and they impressed me. I chose Fairfax floors because they had good reviews and I was not wrong. They have 2 locations. I think the Bradenton one is easier to go to to see the selections with good lighting. First of all there was no high pressure and there prices were very competitive and even lower than other quotes I got. It took almost a year for my place to be ready and they never pressured me to give even a deposit until the install date was set. Secondly, they worked with HOA to get approval and assure them that the floor would be soundproof. Lastly the installers were professional and did an excellent job. They moved furniture without damaging anything, they knew how to remove and reinstall our room divider, and they removed and reinstalled baseboards beautifully. I am so glad I chose them. You have the floor for a long time and it is all about quality and installation. read more

WOW! What a great experience with everyone associated with Fairfax Flooring. Never even met in person - everything was done over the phone. Picked out the carpet we wanted at another store - when they failed to return our phone calls - I found Fairfax and am I glad I did. Within 24 hours, Joe was here to measure. He said it would take about 2 weeks to get the carpet in. Carpet came in early, installer Joe was here on time and ready to the job done. When done - he even vacuumed the loose strands and little fuzzies that you get with new carpet! We couldn't be happier all the way around! Sales, service and quality - what more could you ask for! Fairfax Floors, Inc. Sarasota, FL We recently had tile installed in three rooms of our home. This was a mixed experience for us. It was our first experience installing tile and all three of the companies we contacted were pushing the 20" "rectified" tiles. While other sizes were mentioned briefly, the discussion concerned cost, not how the finished product would set. There was no discussion as to the pros and cons of various sizes or pillow vs sharp edged (rectified) tiles. Which, we have learned, makes a good deal of difference to the feel and aesthetic of the finished floor. Later into the installation while addressing some concerns, our installers pointed out the greater relative difficulty of getting a optimal finished result using these tiles. We noticed in the first room finished that the grout was coming up despite more than ample set time. The installers purchased - at their expense - better quality mortar and grout than provided to them by Fairfax to finish the rest of the house. Another concern was added costs. I understood the price I paid Fairfax Floors would cover the tiling of my floors. The installers requested additional money for a floor leveling material for my Florida Room and for quarter round molding for the entire area. I didn't receive a written proposal until I requested it after the work was done. Ultimately, we feel more education prior to purchase and installation would have benefitted us all. Had I been aware of likely difficulties regarding tile shape, size, and edges, as well as being aware the floors may require leveling, I would have been willing to consider other options and cost. Or at least been relatively aware of what issues could possibly occur. The best thing to come from this experience was a mosaic created for our entry way by one of our installers. ded read more

Stranded out in the cold! We had to call in a private contractor to complete a proper installation. Fairfax installation fell extremely short of a professional job. We called our representative who had the install crew return for partial resolution. We had to take it upon ourselves to get the project completed to our expected level of quality. My mom's guest room had horrible carpet, and she finally agreed to replace it. While visiting, I stopped in at Fairfax Floors and asked for a new floor asap! Owner Steve was very helpful. Connor came out to check measurements the same day. I selected flooring they had in stock, and they carefully moved it into the air-conditioned showroom to acclimate before installing. The install team Steve and Adam, I believe, were there 2 business days later and installed laminate flooring in about 5 hours. The flooring was installed perfectly and finished nicely with quarter round. Steve cleaned up perfectly, and helped arrange the furniture back in the room.
