Since our visit last summer, the property has undergone another evolution. They have refreshed the public areas and replaced the HVAC systems. In a universe governed mostly by entropy and bad air circulation, a crisp, quiet hotel room is a minor miracle. The renovated common spaces are bright, modern, and inviting, standing in sharp contrast to the fading ghost of the mall across the road. Yet while the ductwork and lobby have been modernized, the soul of the place remains untouched. The staff here continues to be absurdly, wonderfully kind. They do not treat you like a credit card with legs; they greet you like long-lost cousins returning home for a family reunion. Every interaction is pleasant, genuine, and unrushed. The staples that make this place a haven are all still here. The Costa coffee machine that literally showed up while we were visiting last year grinds whole beans on demand, dispensing hot sanity to accompany cinnamon rolls designed to obliterate any lingering notions of human self-restraint. The rooms are spotless, the beds are exceptionally comfortable, and the blackout shades permit a sleep so deep it feels subterranean. Everything works. Everyone is nice. In a chaotic world, that is about as close to perfection as a roadside hotel can get. So it goes. Five stars, hands down. We will be back next summer.

While Quality Inn isn't the Ritz, it was comfortable. I must say their beds were very comfortable. They have some pillow-top mattress that works. We'd driven a long time, and I was out when my head hit the pillow. The room has a TV, Coffee Maker, Microwave, and more amenities. They have a small gym, and a laundry for people who stay for a while. Fortunately, it was only a night for us. (That wasn't a knock at the hotel, we needed to get to where we were going.) For a one-night stay, this was fine. We didn't consider this when we booked the reservation; they also offer a breakfast. It's a typical motel breakfast - some pastries, cereal, oatmeal, make-your-own waffles, toast, etc. But it was just what we needed before, once again, hitting the road.

This was on our list of places but we called around to several other inns first. They were all booked so we ended up here, what luck! The Inn is a few homes down from Main Street Bloomsburg which has several restaurants and other activities to choose from. It is owned and operated by George and his wife (didn't catch her name). The place is large with several common rooms, snacks, and a wrap around porch. There is a side door and you get a key so you can come and go as you please. Our room had a comfy bed, large bathroom, and direct tv. In the morning George cooks an amazing breakfast and I can almost promise the other guests will join you. Overall, I would highly recommend this to parents of Bloomsburg students or anyone looking to get away for the weekend. As a Knoebels enthusiast I was not sure how far this place would be and it turns out it is super close. Don't think twice about staying here!

Because it was parent's weekend and all the local hotels know it, the prices are jacked up. It was an average $150 a night when it usually is a lot less which may have earned the place an extra star. We checked in the early evening which went quite smoothly. Our third floor room was by the elevator and we were told there were three wedding parties in the hotel for the weekend. The place was completely sold out. The hotel was recently renovated and our room was spacious and mostly clean. The tub/shower had some mold which needed some better cleaning standards. The room comes with a cold mini-fridge and microwave along with a hard as a rock couch, nice and firm king mattress (with a topper?), a small coffeemaker, nice large tv, and working air conditioning and heating. The bathroom did not appear to have a steam vent/fan. There was a hairdryer. The shower water pressure absolutely sucked. I even tried to switch it to the better power washer setting and it still sucked. The water at least did get hot quickly. The door to the bathroom and also the room itself were very lightweight making me think cheap and easy to break. We did have an issue with the keycard because it "erased" itself being too near our cell phone resulting in us having to obtain a newly keyed door by the front desk staff. The hotel does offer the "free" breakfast which included three types of cereal, many breads like toast, croissants, and muffins, two waffle makers which is always a hit and they even had cinnamon flavored batter, yogurt, fresh fruit (but both days the bananas were considerably black spotted), bad coffee, hot tea, mixed substandard orange or apple or cranberry juices, and hot sausage patties along with scrambled eggs one day and egg patties the other both of which were probably pre-made. At the main counter, freshly made lemon water was available along with packaged chocolate chip cookies. The staff that we encountered was friendly and helpful. So an average stay at Comfort Suites. It met our needs. They have a pool (small) which we did not use. I don't think there's any workout equipment. I think this would be just as comparable for any hotel chain in the area. We'd stay again but would have a better expectation of what we'd be receiving. The hotel is next to the Lowe's at the top of the hill and had adequate parking.

After checking out, we were contacted by the hotel manager who accused of stealing 3 pillows from the 2 rooms that we booked for our family of 6. The hotel went on and charged us a total of $63 , even after we repeatedly explained that we didn't take anything from the rooms. Needless to say, this allegation was both offensive and humiliating. There was zero proof, zero verification, and zero professionalism shown before the hotel management decided to accuse us of theft. Instead of checking their own housekeeping procedures, inventory records, or internal mistakes, they immediately chose to blame us. That speaks volumes about how poorly this place is managed. Being accused of stealing is not a minor issue. It is a serious allegation, and the fact that the manager felt comfortable making it without evidence shows a shocking lack of judgment and customer respect. At no point did anyone apologize or acknowledge that they could be wrong. The manager and staff tone was accusatory, dismissive, and frankly insulting. Any positives about the stay were instantly erased by this experience. No guest should ever leave a hotel feeling harassed, stressed, or treated like a criminal over something they did not do. If this is how the hotel handles internal errors -- by pointing fingers at guests -- then this is not a place I would ever trust or recommend. Needless to say, we will never return to this property and will actively discourage others from staying here. Until there is a complete overhaul in management practices, staff training, and accountability procedures, this hotel does not deserve the public's trust or business.

Enough crab and cheese for each individual fry. I forget the specific sauce but I found myself dunking frequently. The fried haddock was light, flaky whitefish but filling. The tartar sauce was excellently tangy and refreshing. I have a feeling they make it in-house. I had two beers and the tab came out to around $40. For a Friday evening, I would call this a high quality experience to banter with friends or coworkers.

She wasn't polite or nice and she rolled her eyes when I asked to use the restroom before I checked in. My family and I drove 4 hours straight before agreeing to start fresh in the morning to drive on vacation. We had booked online with Trivago who assists people to book online. The nice lady took my info and said it was booked. Quote the contrary when we arrived and the call center was closed. Bernice Very Snottily said that there was No reservation booked for us and how we would have all these other Fees and charges. When I mentioned our experience with the third party, she said she wouldn't Accept that. I was exhausted. My mother was exhausted and my husband was just in pain from sitting so long. I needed to get us all into bed. We decided to check with Motel 6, we spoke immediately with a polite young man named Dylan and he helped us out with booking a room and we also got a great rate under AARP! Thank God!
