Wife and I stayed a Friday to Sunday for parent's weekend to visit our son. Can't say it was awesome, but it wasn't bad. Because it was parent's weekend and all the local hotels know it, the prices are jacked up. It was an average $150 a night when it usually is a lot less which may have earned the place an extra star. We checked in the early evening which went quite smoothly. Our third floor room was by the elevator and we were told there were three wedding parties in the hotel for the weekend. The place was completely sold out. The hotel was recently renovated and our room was spacious and mostly clean. The tub/shower had some mold which needed some better cleaning standards. The room comes with a cold mini-fridge and microwave along with a hard as a rock couch, nice and firm king mattress (with a topper?), a small coffeemaker, nice large tv, and working air conditioning and heating. The bathroom did not appear to have a steam vent/fan. There was a hairdryer. The shower water pressure absolutely sucked. I even tried to switch it to the better power washer setting and it still sucked. The water at least did get hot quickly. The door to the bathroom and also the room itself were very lightweight making me think cheap and easy to break. We did have an issue with the keycard because it "erased" itself being too near our cell phone resulting in us having to obtain a newly keyed door by the front desk staff. The hotel does offer the "free" breakfast which included three types of cereal, many breads like toast, croissants, and muffins, two waffle makers which is always a hit and they even had cinnamon flavored batter, yogurt, fresh fruit (but both days the bananas were considerably black spotted), bad coffee, hot tea, mixed substandard orange or apple or cranberry juices, and hot sausage patties along with scrambled eggs one day and egg patties the other both of which were probably pre-made. At the main counter, freshly made lemon water was available along with packaged chocolate chip cookies. The staff that we encountered was friendly and helpful. So an average stay at Comfort Suites. It met our needs. They have a pool (small) which we did not use. I don't think there's any workout equipment. I think this would be just as comparable for any hotel chain in the area. We'd stay again but would have a better expectation of what we'd be receiving. The hotel is next to the Lowe's at the top of the hill and had adequate parking. read more

We've stayed at this hotel for one night over the thanksgiving break. Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel ended on an extremely disappointing and upsetting note due to a false accusation of theft, which completely overshadowed any positives of the visit. After checking out, we were contacted by the hotel manager who accused of stealing 3 pillows from the 2 rooms that we booked for our family of 6. The hotel went on and charged us a total of $63 , even after we repeatedly explained that we didn't take anything from the rooms. Needless to say, this allegation was both offensive and humiliating. There was zero proof, zero verification, and zero professionalism shown before the hotel management decided to accuse us of theft. Instead of checking their own housekeeping procedures, inventory records, or internal mistakes, they immediately chose to blame us. That speaks volumes about how poorly this place is managed. Being accused of stealing is not a minor issue. It is a serious allegation, and the fact that the manager felt comfortable making it without evidence shows a shocking lack of judgment and customer respect. At no point did anyone apologize or acknowledge that they could be wrong. The manager and staff tone was accusatory, dismissive, and frankly insulting. Any positives about the stay were instantly erased by this experience. No guest should ever leave a hotel feeling harassed, stressed, or treated like a criminal over something they did not do. If this is how the hotel handles internal errors -- by pointing fingers at guests -- then this is not a place I would ever trust or recommend. Needless to say, we will never return to this property and will actively discourage others from staying here. Until there is a complete overhaul in management practices, staff training, and accountability procedures, this hotel does not deserve the public's trust or business. read more

I wish I could give this place an 4.75, because it was almost perfect. The staff were so warm and friendly. The room was super clean, spacious, and we had a great view. Breakfasts were yummy with all sorts of things to choose from including eggs, bacon and sausage. The lobby was very pretty, and there were beverages and cookies available. Only 2 downsides - the beds were waaaay too soft. Really disappointing because one expects hotel beds to be really comfortable. Also, the shower was so weak, it was more like a strong trickle. I realize it's probably a water-saver, but give us a little more power. Still, when we are back in the area, this place will be our first choice. read more

Housekeeping is terrible. I walked in to a pillow with blood stains on it. This pillow was placed front and center. There's no way housekeeping didn't see it. The floor feels filthy. I'm up here for work. Next week I'm getting a Swiffer with wet pads just to see how filthy it is. Towels don't get replaced, garbage doesn't get emptied, bags aren't replaced if the garbage is emptied. I guarantee these sheets haven't been washed. That's obvious. The showerhead is broken and the sink is clogged. The powdered eggs for breakfast are nasty and the bacon is see through. Mostly the breakfast is ok at best. Management absolutely needs to be replaced quickly or this will be the Low Quality Inn like across the way. read more

Ok for an overnight. Cons: If you want soft bathroom tissue and Kleenex, bring your own. Breakfast - I thought the waffle mix looked funny when I put it in the Waffle making machine. It tasted rancid and I had to throw it out. All coffee decanters were empty. My husband asked if there was Any coffee and breakfast hostess brought some out. The coffee Was cold. Pros: Bed was comfortable, the room was clean and spacious, with a Full sized kitchen and sofa. Front desk was friendly and polite. Complimentary USA Today in the lobby. Worst hotel experience. We had 6 rooms for three days. Rooms never got cleaned. Holes in the wall , open outlets, stains in the tub. Lobby was dirty. Hallway filthy. For the price would expect a lot better. When booked nothing was said it maybe under construction. Exposed wires, sprinkler falling off, doesn't look to be clean or safe. Never stay again. Should get some money back, but was told nothing they can do. Never stay again. read more

The worst hotel experience. The hotel is under full construction. It is filled with dust and drbris...old mattresses are piled up outside the hotel. The front desk is covered in plastic with plaster dust covering everything, included the breakfast area and drinks. The hallways are disgusting the elevator is unsafe. Music blared from the 3rd floor rooms where the are doing work. I asked to be far away from the work to find out the room I am connected to is under construction. 2 employees rode the elevator with me and openly complained in front of me. My room has constructs and smells awful. I called the main corporation 3xs and had one specialist hang up on me. I will never give them my money again. read more

My husband, 2 kids plus my niece and nephew stayed 1 night. Ms. Dena George that was working the front desk was amazing and more than accommodating, we thank her for being so welcoming! Also the rest of the staff is friendly. Rooms are perfect size for 2 adults and 4 children, there were 2 beds plus a pull out sofa. Breakfast was awesome as well ....We will definitely be back in the future. read more

Stayed here for an overnight visit to nearby Knoebels Amusement Resort. The staff was friendly, check in was a breeze, and overall it was pleasant. They were in the middle of renovating the interior, so it should be a bit more modernized in the future. The continental breakfast was also surprisingly good and had a lot of selection. So for the price, it's a great deal! read more

Absolutely horrible!! This place has completely gone down hill from the last time we stayed here. There were rust spots in the tub, hair in all of the beds, blood smear on the pillow, headboards had greasy hand prints on it from god only knows what. The house keepers are very ignorant and I am ready to sleep in my van because it's just cleaner than staying in these rooms. Even the employees at the front desk said that the rooms probably weren't cleaned! I will be surprised if I don't catch an infection after staying here. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! read more

Dustin at the front desk was awesome. Breezed through check in. Rooms are comfortable enough for the 3 hrs that I was in them awake. Internet is sponsored by B of A and seems dodgy security wise. Constantly drops out from my phone and tablet. A lot of pot holes and gravel in the parking lot so if you have a sedan be wary at night. Cleaning crew left my receipts on the table where I left them thankfully. It never fails that I do that and they get trashed. I'll be staying here whenever I'm in Bloomsburg. read more

For stupid cheap hotel room, this was pretty darn good. Saved $ with one of those hotel coupons you pick up at rest stops, too. Lovely, new building that still a strong "new hotel" smell. Perfectly fine hotel room; again, for the money, it was much better than we'd imagined. Two dings, though. One, our room had a lovely (not) view of the adjacent Lowe's loading dock. As the trucks backed up, beep beep beep, I thought This is going to be awful. But they were mercifully brief. Two, my husband is still talking about the very weird 'pre-made egg omelette stuffed with American cheese' he had for breakfast (included) that had a conformity about it that suggested that it was made by a machine. The coupon said "deluxe breakfast"; it consisted of make yer own waffles, those egg patties, sausage, dry cereal, coffee and juice. I'd hate to see what the non-deluxe breakfast consists of. First time staying here. We planned a last minute trip to Knoebels for our family of 5. We comfortably fit in the room with 2 queen beds & a fold out couch. The queen beds & linens were extremely comfortable & clean. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us and the view from our room was beautiful. The location was great! Only about 20-25 minutes from Knoebels and tons of options for meals & shopping nearby. The pool was small but our kids loved it. The arcade was tiny but my 11 year old gamer loved it. The room was very affordable. Breakfast selection was good. We'll definitely be back again. read more

I really liked this hotel and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. We were driving from Chicago to NJ and needed to stop. After looking a various hotel reviews in the area, I wanted to go to Holiday Inn Express which is my usual go-to but this hotel was about $30 cheaper. I was pleasantly surprised how very nice the hotel was - nice, clean, friendly staff, good location, spacious rooms and even had a bar to have some late night cocktails after a long road trip. Breakfast was included and had the usual spread of breads, cereals, fruit, make your own waffles, etc. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone. read more

Didn't actually stay here, but on 8/8/15, my husbands phone was stole from Quaker Steak around 12pm and out family locator led us to this hotel. The staff was as helpful as they could legally be. Very disappointed that someone would take a phone with so many irreplaceable pictures. I hope they anonymously turn it in so we can make the 2 hour drive to get the phone. read more

Worst stay of wonderful baseball trip. Stayed there to save money during the LLWS and we were horrified. Pee stained sofa comforter. Unknown stains on bed comforter. Called when we checked in and took them over an hour to come up. Asked for a room change and they said they didn't have one but hotel seemed to be empty. Worst managers ever. Called them twice after trip and both promised to call back and never did. One of them went as far as saying or assuming I was lying. If you stay there check sheets and bed! They were nasty. Brought in my personal towels and slept on top of those. That's how nasty the beds were. Rooms appeared nice but on a closer look they were nasty! Awful managers!! read more

Had to cancel slightly within 24 hours of this visit. Do not expect any understanding or leniency in regards to the rules about 24 hour cancellation even if rebooking for a different day. Despite the fact that they likely have extra rooms (as if a hotel in Bloomsburg is packed in early March, please) they will not work with you. Spent 2 nights here in July. Great rates for a quality room! Huge thunderstorm caused a power failure but they must have a generator as the hotel had power in minutes while nearby businesses were dark for more than an hour. Would definitely stay again. read more

I would like to comment on our recent stay at Comfort Inn, Bloomsburg PA. My wife and I have stayed in this same hotel over the last three years. Unfortunately we have seen the quality of this facility decline in that amount of time...so much that I finally have to say something. We arrived at the hotel at 3:10PM and was told our room wasn't ready and to come back in an hour. Really...and this hotel advertises check-in at 3:00PM. Unacceptable right off the bat. The first room that they put us in was terrible including the air conditioner not operating. Luckily we did not bring our belongings in before we checked the room. The room that we spent our next three nights in was very disappointing. The room rug was not clean and was not vacuumed especially in the non-traffic areas. The bathroom was not very clean. Black mold in and around bath tub. Black mold on bathroom vents. There was no toilet tissue holder in the bathroom. The towel rack was useless because it was pulling off from the wall. The refrigerator was disgustingly dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The TV did not work...the power had to be constantly recycled on the TV in order to get it to work properly. The facility's only elevator was broken more than once and was broken when we were checking out. We had to carry everything including two large suitcase down the stairs from the third floor. And the free breakfast offered at this hotel...we didn't even partake in because the table and chairs were dirty and not cleaned off. Did I say something to the desk attendant?...Yes more than once and all displayed an attitude like it wasn't "their" problem. I doubt very much if we will ever stay or recommend this facility again or for that matter any Choice hotel in the future unless we are compensated in some way. read more
