I think this is just about the nicest Fairfield Inn that I've stayed at, and I've stayed at quite a few! It appears as though the hotel is out in the middle of nowhere, but that's OK because it's a beautiful property with a pool, a hot tub, and breakfast in the morning. None of which I will take advantage of, because I'm here on business and only for about 24 hours. The young ladies at the front desk could not have been more welcoming, and helpful with information about the area and how to get a cab, which apparently around here you have to reserve in advance. I was in town for a meeting at the University of Wyoming and although the host hotel was immediately adjacent to the campus, my United Airlines flight arrived at 9am and I knew that being a loyal Marriott elite meant that I'd probably be able to check in early so I stayed here. This was my first Fairfield Inn and it turned out to be a great choice! I used the convenient Marriott mobile app, checked in online, and notified the hotel that I'd be arriving early and indicated the time. When I arrived, a room had already been assigned to me and I scored an upgrade to a Studio King suite. I'm not sure what the regular room looks like but the suite is a very functional set up that includes a small living room with a built-in storage unit, large screen tv, love seat, ottoman/footrest/table, desk and chair. There is an excellent floor lamp as well as a high quality desk lamp if you need some extra light to work. Plugs were easy to find. There's a convenient nook with a shelf, mini-fridge, and a microwave. The bed is comfortable, firm, not bouncy at all. Pillows were in good shape and the room was clean. My ac/heater (window) unit did blow pretty hard and there was no way to redirect the air, though the thermostat was quite responsive. So, as for me, I just ended up with a lot of unnecessary lukewarm air blowing around. No prob. Laramie is only about 15 minutes from corner to corner (the Fairfield is located in one of the corners next to the airport.) The drive to the University is easy and routes you around any possible traffic in town - a quick and easy 10 minutes. Friendly, efficient service, free breakfast (which I didn't eat,) plus 24-hour coffee in the lobby (is this a thing at all Fairfields?) I'd totally stay here again. They did not honor my government rate reservation. Even as a (10+ year) Platinum Elite member, with my government ID, I was told that I need written orders to honor my government rate reservation. They refused to understand that written orders are not provided, and tried to double my rate. It wreaked of racism. Overall, not a great experience at this hotel. The hotel is very tired and not especially clean. My least favorite part was the pathetically low water pressure in the morning for a shower. Easy to find and right off the freeway. A little far from food & drink, but you can get almost anything delivered in Laramie. The rooms are adequate and the hotel is super clean. The Covid breakfast bar (that's what I call them) was not great, but not terrible either. The staff though ... they are so nice and accommodating and CHEERFUL. I stay at Marriott hotels more nights a year than I care to... when I'm in rural areas, I'm always very happy to find a Fairfield Inn. The Inn does offer you free WiFi (with a code upon check in). Why not five stars? Well, it's not perfect... Hey, Fairfield... you're still charging over $100 a night, so how about some sliced fruit for breakfast? Not just bananas and apples. Also, leave some snacks out at night - as noted above, you're often in VERY rural areas. Some nighttime snacks would actually get me to refer you to others about to stay in the area. As it is, the rooms themselves are pretty comfortable. Towels were always clean, and the hot water was fine in the shower (not in the sink). I wouldn't worry if I had to stay here again. read more

Stay a couple nights while moving our son. Place was clean and had parking for trailers as we had a car trailer. The staff was super friendly. I liked that they had a small table and lamp on the both sides of the bed my only complaint with the room is that there was not an accessible outlet by the mirror in the room. I need to dry my hair and my son was in the bathroom. We did not take advantage of the grab n go breakfast but I would get coffee from the front desk and it was good. Loved this place. So clean, so pleasant! The decor was beautiful and refreshingly different - modern, cheerful - I wish I had taken a photo. The bathroom was roomy. The beds were wonderful. Really, the only complaint I can possibly think of is that the air conditioner unit rattled when it was on. But it worked beautifully. If I ever come through Laramie again, this is where I'll stay. The whole family loved it! Price was $99 for 2 double beds. P.S. Be sure to stop at the University of Wyoming Geological Museum. Great dinosaur displays, well-done short videos, and - best of all - the world's coolest sandbox ever. As you dig or mound, the topographical projector overhead adjusts to show the world you are creating. Not only that, when you hold your hand over an area, as if you are a cloud, you can make it "rain." Then the projector will show you where the rainwater would go, running down your continental divide, or creating a lake...which dries up before your eyes unless you put in more rain. This hotel has a bedbug infestation. We woke up Friday morning, August 30, 2019, to bedbugs in both beds ranging from very tiny to adult size. We even had bites on our backs. While in the room taking pictures, we were shooed to be quiet by the assistant manager in order to not scare any neighboring tenants. The manager called me later that day and said they were mortified because they've never had this issue, but we later found out that this exact same room has been quarantined 3 to 4 times for the same issue. We switched hotels and Fairfield paid for the other hotel, but failed to tell them the reason why we were being moved to another hotel. This property looks newer, and it's located just off the I-80 Freeway; but not too close -- as I didn't hear too much traffic. (But then again, what kind of traffic would there really be in March??) Typical Marriott dream bed experience. Very clean, sharp crisp sheets and immaculate bathroom. Unfortunately the freeway noise was tangible in the high arid night, the room was either too chilly or too hot. The thermostat didn't jibe with the wall unit that either blasted heat or was too slient for too long making the room uncomforatlbly cool. And then there was their Spanish talkers right out side the door early Sunday morning. What gives, mi amigo?? The room smelled nice, but wasn't very clean. The air conditioner was very loud, but the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was just okay. Not too many options, and they had the classic watery eggs, and rubbery sausage patties for hot food. Was grateful to have a breakfast though. The dark haired woman that was there when we checked in was VERY sweet, great customer service. The one there the next day (purple short hair) was very rude though. Seemed annoyed when I walked up to book another night, because I was interrupting her novel reading. I would stay here again. I wouldn't bring my pets though. $30 a night for each pet. Not counting the incidental hold that they charge you until days after you check out. If you brought two small dogs and stayed two nights, the total would be more than $350 for both nights. We got caught in a snowstorm and couldn't make it to Fort Collins. After calling a few places, this one gave us adjoining suites and graciously allowed our malamute and tabby cat. After a warm welcome and time for us to settle in, they called the room to check in and see if we were comfortable. When we came back in from the snow after walking the dog, they immediately offered a towel to get her warm and dry. The breakfast service was excellent, with the attending woman taking time to call someone personally to give us an update on road closures. I've never stayed at a hotel with staff so personable and genuine. Would stay here again and again. read more

Checked in after hours and the room was very dirty. The shower was in need of new caulking and the tile was dirty. The room also has an odor to it. I wouldn't stay here at this location again. The breakfast buffet in the morning was good food as usual but it was not well staffed. We stayed here instead of the Fairfield in Cheyenne because it was a bit less expensive. We have stayed at this hotel for the past 4 years while we go snowmobiling in the Snowy Range. We always get a nice suite and find it clean and comfy! The staff are super friendly and very helpful and accommodating. The hot tub feels amazing after a long day on a sled in the cold! We love going out for dinner on dt Laramie and always frequent our favorite places in a close driving distance. Will return again next year!!! read more

This is a fairly new property. Nice for the area. The staff at the counter and housekeeping are very friendly. Unfortunately they put us in a room that had recently had some intense cleaning (perhaps carpets) done. We couldn't get the scent out of the room all night and I am so allergic to those scents! Also, the coffee was so hot it actually melted the plastic lid they give you for the styrofoam coffee cups. I told the kitchen server that they might want to check it, and I got the dirtiest look. My only complaint, though,... so the rooms are good, the location good, and the staff friendly overall. read more

I have stayed at this property several times, but too many things have gone upside down. The first and biggest problem, is the presence of tip solicitation envelopes in the guest rooms. Some seem to think that this is OK, and or that this may somehow become a custom, but it is not at all a custom. In fact, it presents a fairly serious conflict of interest risk increase in the likelihood that something might happen to your stuff when you were not in the room, for failure to tip on a non-existent custom. Either the hotel has negotiated a wage that is satisfactory to the staff or they have it, and that will be between the housekeeping staff in the hotel management, without involving guests unnecessarily. Second, I noticed that the bathtub was not properly cleaned, in that a brown residue remained in the middle of the tub. Third, they may occasionally skimp on having coffee out in the lobby when they're supposed to. Fourth, while giving feedback to a front desk clerk I was very rudely interrupted by a person (taller sandy blonde) who may have been a manager, but didn't introduce herself as such, but apparently presumed that she could simply take over the conversation. Fifth, although most all Marriott-line properties have a checkout time of noon, the checkout time here is 11am (they don't make this plain in check in or booking as fare as I could see). Sixth, the air-conditioning unit in the place is very loud, and can make it hard to sleep (you may have to turn it off and deal with the temperature the room settles on). The only positive things about this stay was some of the staff and the breakfast (although breakfast cuts off early on weekdays, apparently 9am). read more

My family of four stayed in a suite with two double beds and a fold out sofa. The room was fresh and comfortable. The shower was great and the towels were large and smelled wonderful. The breakfast was excellent, the staff was terrific, and the price was right. They even gave us a late check out time. The pool was quite small but since we were the only family utilizing it on a Monday it was not a problem. My only complaint is that the sofa needs a good upholstery cleaning. My only suggestion is to at some point replace the double beds with queen beds. read more
