I Had To Argue With The Night Clerk With No Name Tag On Her Or On The Invoice, The Lady Wearing Glasses To Get The Room I Had Reserved, She Told Me It Was First Come First Serve, I Wasn't Going To Get My Ground Floor Room We Reserved Five Hours Before Arriving At 10:40pm She Was Able To Change Us From 203 To Room 129 After All, I Truly Believe That Was Her Way Of Getting Back After I Told Her She Was Being Rude..... Room Was Very Clean, Bed Felt Good, Shower Pressure Was Great & Even Had Nice Decent Towels To Dry Off With, But Zero Hooks To Hang My Towels For Myself & My Wife, Nowhere To Be Found!!! Plus I Didn't Think To Bring A Twelve Foot Extension Cord For My C-Pap Machine. Not Sure Why There Isn't Any Extra Plugs On Walls Or On Laps, Totally Inconvenient So I Hope That Explains Why You Were Given A One Star For Your Establishment. read more

Okay from the outside I was a little worried but that the room wouldn't be great. I was wrong. It was good for our needs, a good night sleep while on a road trip. Clean, with everything you'd need, fridge, microwave, decent tv. The ac was a wall unit that created white noise so we didn't hear our neighbors. The staff was friendly. The only downside was the bathroom, though very clean had a slight mildew smell, though not enough to be a real issue. All in all I was happy. We stayed on 1st floor. Ask for a 1st floor room if you have a lot of luggage, as it's a walk up to 2nd floor. All in all, what you'd want in an inexpensive motel. read more

One of the best hotels I have every stayed in. I was so impressed that I tipped all of the four persons who clean the rooms and all of the managers. I needed to back my vehicle to the entry door of the hotel room, because I was on a business trip and needed access to the room so that I could bring in my luggage, my computer, printer, file boxes, ice chest, and a number of other items. The room had a large bed, a large table, an elongated area for use of my computer, printer, and opened files. The bathroom was in two sections. The sink area had 12 linear feet of area for toiletries. Everyone was so very nice. The room rates were so low that I would have been hesitant to come to the hotel had I known how inexpensive it was to stay there. Don't let the low price fool you. It is not Super 8 Motel which is directly across the street, so don't mix the two hotels as though they are the same. read more

Great no-frills motel for a fantastic price. Giant room that was super clean and included coffee pot, fridge (bonus!), king size bed, and shampoo & conditioner (can I get an amen from the ladies on that??). After spending two nights camping, it was cold and raining and we wanted somewhere warm and dry to stay as well as a shower. This place hit the spot as well as having a comfy bed and a flat screen TV to watch before we dozed off. Front desk staff were super friendly, and this was a very central location close to good restaurants and the highway! read more

We stopped here for the night on a drive through Wyoming on our way to California from Indiana. The rate was rock bottom, so I didn't expect much. I definitely didn't expect to get a comfortable bed, free wifi, flat screen TV, microwave, fridge, and coffee machine for about the cost of what I usually pay for a 2-person meal in Sacramento. I only wish all the hotels/motels we stayed in during the trip were such a great value. read more

We stayed at this motel on our last visit to Laramie, WY. Having been chosen because of cost, there were many outstanding qualities about this little, inexpensive motel surprisingly had. Pros: The bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows. Clean, clean, clean - smelled nice! Free Wifi. Housekeeping was attentive. Cons: The shower adjustment is odd. You adjust the temp and the flow rate. Temp was very touchy and the flow rate went from drip drip drip to sandblasting your flesh off. The area is a little run down. I don't recall much about the contact I had with the staff. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. read more

Totally did the trick. I was traveling with cats, and Motel 6 (my normal pet-friendly standby) was booked, so I tried Motel 8. The woman at the front desk was super friendly, and it was only a few bucks more than Motel 6. The room was great -- I was really surprised how nice it was for the money! Big room, flat screen t.v., coffeemaker, microwave, small fridge, and the bed was comfortable. And the rooms have free internet! Everything I needed for a quick overnight. read more

There was mold in bathroom which is set up for a 4 ft person. Bed was hard as rock pillows sucked being honest, Coffee terrible when you could get room service to give you any. Price must be the only reason to stay at this hotel. The only good thing about the stay for 4 days was the staff very friendly. read more

CHEAP & CLEAN. Need I say more? The front desk staff was friendly at 1:30a, a room for two with a ginormous, and pretty comfortable bed was only $56 for one night. They have cable and free, fast wifi that works. The shower was nice. read more

This motel looks old on the outside, but you will be very comfortable, clean and rested feeling (and looking) after staying at this motel. The beds are perfect and you will get your sleep. The air conditioner in our room worked and kept the temperature even without noise. The bathroom is perfectly clean and the shower head gives an excellent flow. It looks like it is 'top of the line.' Somebody didn't just install a cheap little mechanism. The lights above the vanity were awesome! Even in more expensive hotels it is hard to find vanity lights that don't allow you look like a clown after applying make-up. These lights, in 126, give natural, good bright light which is so helpful when putting on makeup! This place is also dog friendly! I would recommend staying at this motel. read more

This Motel 8 was a great budget stop as I drove through America's least populated state. It was clean. A stop a few days later in at a dirty, substandard motel in St. Louis emphasized what a great find this motel is. Let me explain. It doesn't have that musty smell associated with many motels. The bed was comfortable. the sheets and towels were very white and very clean. Same with the shower. I paid $50 during a night in July to stay here, and while it's not the Ritz, it's a great find for that price point. Also, the front desk was very helpful and kindly switched my room when I asked. Plus, Laramie is a really cool town. Stay here and get breakfast downtown. You won't regret it. read more

The staff were excellent, frieny and ready with suggestions for places to eat. Room was clean but there was nothing to hang your clothes on or towel on in the bathroom so you have to lay your stuff on the floor. There was the tiny little towel holder you see in most hotels but I didn't like having to lay my clean clothes on the floor. Only amenity I knew about was wi-fi. It worked great the whole visit. Hotel and area needs updating. Parking lot was like 4-wheeling on a mountain trail with giant pot holes. read more

This place is great for the cost! It's nothing fancy outside, but the rooms are clean and spacious. We were suprised that it had a microwave and refridgerator. It didn't have loads of pillows or lush blankets, but the bed was very comfortable. Nice flat screen T.V. too. No breakfast or fitness center but we paid $61 uncluding tax! For the price Motel 8 is perfectly adequate. We needed a cheap place to stay and the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable (the pillows are flat and hard, so bring your own). We've stayed there 3 times and have had slightly different experiences each time. Our room had a mini refrigerator and microwave on the first stay. On the second stay there was no microwave. The toilet ran constantly and the in room phone did not work. I asked the front desk about getting a microwave and getting the toilet fixed, but neither happened during our 3 day stay. The third time we stayed there, I specifically asked for a microwave in my reservation and we had one in our room. The coffee pot was full of old, used coffee filters which was a little gross. The housekeeping service is also hit or miss. Some days the bed would get made and some days it wouldn't - not a deal breaker. Overall, we will continue staying here when we need a cheap place to stay. The folks at the front desk are always very friendly. They do allow pets ($10/night), which is also a plus. read more

At the start of our stay at the Motel 8 in Laramie I am not impressed with the service we received at check in. We had booked the hotel direct with confirmation of a set price for the room and an additional $10 fee for the dog. The $10 fee is why we chose Motel 8. So much for that. We were informed the cost for the dog was now $20 plus a tax on the pet fee. We were told if we had a complaint we had to take it up with the manager and they are only available 9-5 Monday-Friday so there's nothing that can be done with the issue until Monday and we'll be gone by then. The gal a check in was rude and could have cared less to help us. Not impressed can't recommend this Motel 8. read more

I made a reservation several days ago and requested a ground floor. Came today and could not have a ground floor because they did the carpets on all the ground floor rooms. I could have one but would have to wait several hours. They do not have an elevator.there was a reason I requested a ground floor. These folks need to learn how not to tie up there rooms on one floor all at once. I got my ground floor but the carpet was wet all night. read more

Not for rest! I stopped here with my two young children and father on my way from Wisconsin to California. Motel 6 was $20 cheaper (on a Friday night) but they were full so we went across the road to this Mote 8. The night clerk was friendly and gave us my dads AARP discount even though he couldn't find his card when we arrived at 1 AM. Our room was upstairs with an outdoor staircase (the second set of steps was much steeper than the first set which almost tripped me a couple times carrying our bags and one of the kids), and had an old tube TV, microwave, and mini fridge, although I didn't test any of them (I assume the fridge worked since the compressor kicked on several times in the night and woke me up). The beds were comfortable and clean, the sink and toilet worked. However, although the room included an air conditioner the heating was from a (very noisy) baseboard heater which we had no control over and regularly woke us up sounding like someone was rolling marbles through a metal pipe. Even worse was the half inch gap along the bottom and side of the door! In May the temperature at night was below freezing so I stuffed clothes against the door but still woke up shivering several times and my kids didn't sleep well either. The toilet paper was hard and crusty as if it had gotten wet and been allowed to try. If I had been traveling alone it would've been manageable, but for the price it was pretty ridiculous. Save $20 and go to Motel 6, or take the same cash and look for something a little higher end nearby. read more

I have asthma and chemical sensitivities. When I walked into the room, i was confronted with a Febreze type odor. Come to find out, housekeeping uses a very highly fragranced spray. The low room rate wasn't worth the asthma attack and migraine I experienced. read more
