Very nice, relatively new building. Very clean and modern. Highly convenient location, right next to I45 (but not so close that it's loud), plenty of parking, near many restaurants, supermarket, a Planet Fitness five minutes away, etc. Suite was good size, room had a small coffee maker, refrigerator, bed was fine. Negatives: housekeeping was poor; I had two soaps and no shampoo in my shower. Workout room is even more lame than most mid-tier Marriott properties. No pool or hot tub on the property. Breakfast was poor. The wi-fi didn't work the entire stay (couldn't get DNS), and the front desk staff could not be less interested in helping. (They gave me a phone number to call, but sorry, I don't want to spend an hour on the phone getting your wi-fi fixed, that's your job.) Bottom line, it is one of the most affordable Marriott properties in the area, but the non-working wi-fi is a deal-breaker, so I probably would stay somewhere else in the future just to have wi-fi. (They use Ruckus wi-fi equipment on site, which is known to be terrible.) read more

Second time staying at this particular Fairfield Inn while visiting family in League City area. The Front Desk is always very quick and helpful. Rooms are clean,beds comfortable and the shower heads provide a steady stream to relieve tensions. Breakfast is free with choices of Cereal,waffles,fruits and usually 3 hot choices to choose from nothing fancy but enough to get you going with some coffee or juices. Price is right for those 1-3 day visits and location is right off Gulf Frwy I45. With lots of options for shopping,dining,& nightlife. I'm a fan of Marriott hotels & rewards. I feel fairly secure saying next trip this way we'll be staying here. read more

My only concern with this stay involved the professionalism of the General Manager, Tarrell Calvin, and Assistant Manager, Asia Cole. When I asked for corporate contact information, I was told to "just Google it," which felt dismissive and inappropriate. When I raised this concern with Ms. Calvin, the interaction became even more disappointing--she was confrontational, repeatedly interrupted me, and did not address the behavior of her staff or demonstrate accountability. As a Bonvoy member, this experience was surprising and fell far below the standards I expect from Marriott. Given the circumstances, we may need to extend our stay but are strongly considering relocating despite the inconvenience of doing so with two young children. read more

I recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn in League City for three nights, and unfortunately, the experience didn't meet expectations--especially for a Gold Elite Member. While the location is great--close to restaurants, shopping, and convenient for getting around--the hotel fell short in several key areas. The water pressure in the room was terrible, and although the room itself was clean, the bathroom had loose tile that shifted every time I stepped on it. Not exactly what you want in a newly built or well-maintained hotel. One of the biggest issues was with the night audit staff. I simply asked a few questions, and instead of getting help, I was told he couldn't do anything because he was "in the middle of night audit." Very dismissive and unprofessional. Not a good way to start my morning when leaving the property. I had requested a high-floor room through the Bonvoy app and received confirmation via chat that the request was granted. However, I was placed on the 3rd floor--not what I expected, and a letdown considering my Gold Elite status. When I asked about this when checking in I was told with a snarky attitude by the agent that it's simply just a request not a guarantee. I informed her that I was told via chat that I would get a 5th floor room. One feature I did appreciate was the doorbell system with lights to indicate "Do Not Disturb" or "Housekeeping Requested"--a nice modern touch. That said, despite having the "Service Requested" light on the entire stay, my room was never cleaned or refreshed once over three days. Overall, this hotel has potential thanks to its location and some thoughtful design elements, but service, follow-through, and maintenance need improvement. I expect better consistency and hospitality from the Marriott brand. read more

I did not read all the other reviews, but I'm kinda blown away that the overall review rating is so low. Everyone we encountered during our week-long stay was fantastic. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was quite good for a complimentary breakfast. Absolutely no complaints! One night the fire alarm when off, which was extraordinarily LOUD and disconcerting. We all left the building and the fire department arrived. Ended up it was a very real concern and the person working the front desk did exactly what should have been done. Was it pleasant? Absolutely not. Was the attention to guest safety appreciated? Absolutely! We are heading back to League City next year and will be staying here again. We're looking forward to it. read more

Stayed at this property for one night to rest during a road trip. Staff seemed rough and new when I checked in, but as I talked to them it seemed like it was not their intention to come up that way. Property was clean. Room was big and also looked clean. Complementary breakfast seems to be done too early. At 9am there was nothing left. This location is next to the highway with plenty food and shop options. Overall I recommend this property. read more

We've stayed here during medical procedures on and off over the past six months and couldn't be more pleased with the staff and accommodations. Each and every member of the staff is pleasant and ready to help and make you feel wanted and help in any way they can. Regardless of the time of day or how busy they are, this hotel is always a clean, happy place that is truly appreciative to have your business. This location is newer and was clean and has friendly staff. My 1 review is a warning to everyone BEWARE: OF HEAVY TOXIC PERFUME SMELL PUMPED THROUGHOUT BUILDINGS VENTILATION SYSTEM. As a woman whom suffers from chronic migraines it was a hellish experience immediately. While checking in after an evening flight I was choking on what I thought was the heavy stench of men's cologne from the front desk clerk...as I moved around the corner to the elevators and was holding my breath till the elevators doors opened the stench was far more stronger as I left the clerks desk!!!! As the elevator door opened on the 5th floor I was gagged by a much more powerful stench and at that moment my head was throbbing triggered by this horrible overpowering perfume stench similar to the men's cologne Drakar Noir I opened the door to my room and for the 3rd time and 3rd location in 3minutes my room,sheets,towels and curtains reaked of this Obnoxious heavy scent I could not escape. I had a migraine for the next 48hrs till I could rebook a room away from this toxic hell. I confirmed with the front desk and the next day that they do indeed use a scent throughout the hotels ventilation system . I understand in Las Vegas how each casino has it's trademark subtle scents that welcome visitors and disguise the scents of heavy smells of tobacco on gambling floors, however this was an all out gaseous harmful intrusive assault that triggered a medical migraine inside a building that has no windows that open or way to air out the room. Also messed with my sinuses burning while in their property. SHAME ON YOU AND your assumption that everyone who enters your property welcomed your singular taste in fragrance and not only was personally harmful to myself but would be toxic to small children or compromised respiratory clientele read more

We stayed hear on a trip into League City to take care of some things are haven't been able to do since we've moved to East Texas. Most area Hotels were booked yup so we managed to get a room here at the Fairfield Inn. It's a fairly new hotel and it's really nice. The people are friendly and helpful, but their Breakfast in the mornings aren't much to write home about! But I'd still stay here!! It's Very convenient to get around from here!!! read more

Truly a terrible stay and easily my worst Marriott experience. The front desk wouldn't allow me to check in because my husband booked my reservation and the app wouldn't let him add me. We had to call corporate Marriott to add me which they couldn't do because mobile checkin was in process. They wanted me to cancel the reservation and create a new one and wanted to charge a one night cancellation fee. Madness. We got someone more reasonable and front desk waived the fee. He would not cancel my reservation until I created a new one. I wish I never booked as the hotel pumps toxic scent into the whole hotel through the vents. I am sensitive to scents and perfumes and had a headache and barely slept. They claim the scent dissipates. It doesn't. You can't open the only window in the room. There is no escaping the scent. I asked to leave early and they wanted to charge me a one night early checkout fee. Of course I argued with them and they waived it. I will say that the room did have a slight mildew smell which I kept getting a whiff of (so I kept smelling mildew and scent). I guess that's why they pump that fragrance. read more

(I've been reading other reviews on numerous websites) We were just discriminated against blatantly! We tried to upgrade and room and even though the manager told us there was availability, she refused to UPgrade our room bc it was prepaid. Exactly! You have already been paid and we want to pay you more!! She refused to help us and when I asked her if it was bc we were white she said YES! Our attorney is going to have a blast with this one. Price was high, but hey it's 4th of July weekend! You can tell this hotel is new. Very modern and nice. Clean and smells amazing! Beds were super comfortable and AC was perfection! The only complaint would be the non-working mini fridge. We didn't partake in the breakfast because it is located right next to a wonderful little restaurant called The Toasted Yolk! 100% will stay here again. read more

Our boys were celebrating winning two baseball games at a tournament in league city and we chose this hotel to stay at. After the games we all checked in and the boys wanted to throw the football sp we went outside and sat around for them to do so. The manager literally made us go inside and told us we weren't allowed to sit around and talk, we had to "shut it down". We had late baseball games and the kids were just trying to play and on top of that we were outside. I won't stay here again. read more

We found boogers and fingernails all over our ground in our hotel room the bed frame was dirty and the smell in the room was not pleased. The service was atrocious we asked for little things like for our room to be vacuumed and they didn't even do that. Do not recommend. read more

My parents and I had a great stay at the Fairfield Inn. We stayed in two rooms and stayed two nights. Everything was very clean & new. The WiFi worked well, the pool looked fun, but it was too cold to use. The location is great. It is off the highway but a bit further back so there isn't road noise. There's lots of restaurants in the area, and it's centrally located between Galveston and Houston. The staff was very friendly & welcoming. My parents got the sack breakfast and said it wasn't bad. Stuff happens but it is how you handle it that counts I am a loyal Marriott customer. I missed lifetime platinum by just one year. The low rating is for the Hotel, not Marriott. I had a mishap at Fairfield Inn & Suites Houston League City - Tarell Calvin GM. Things happen but how you handle them makes for loyalty (or not). I checked in and they placed me on the second floor above the bar and lobby which was fine until the wedding. I got no sleep that night. By the time it quieted down, I was a few hrs from having to get up so I had to force myself to stay up so I would not be a wreck. Marriott's customer service was fantastic. The hotel - not so much. I wanted compensation for that night ($195), not points. Why should the stockholders or other hotels pay right? The hotel never contacted me even though there were exchanges with Marriott customer service. The GM refused to meet with me. Her assistant said since they moved me (at my request BTW) the next day and since I "refused" the points the matter was closed. PS. I did say I would write bad reviews and send letters but no dice. read more

Today, 11/21/2023, I received a phone call from my daughter while she was at this property. They were there to check into the reservation we made over one month ago. They requested a upgrade from the desk clerk and he began the process when the manager stepped in and told him to stop. She (a blk woman) told my daughter (we are considered wht) that they COULD NOT have upgrade AND that she didn't want WHT people to stay at her hotel. We paid for our rooms over a month ago!!! We have stayed at this hotel several times!!! Never knew they were offended by WHT people! NEVER AGAIN WILL WE STAY AT THIS HOTEL OR ANY OTHER MARRIOTT PROPERTY. IS THIS what the world has come to??? I guess she figures good, clean, non-radical, paying customers are not for her. Instead she'd rather have to clean up after and put up with people who don't care about her property. We will be filing a grievance against her for discrimination with Marriott and the DOJ. This behavior is unacceptable, completely unacceptable. read more

We are very disappointed in the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in League City. They would not let me check in because i am 18 even though my reservation confirmation stated 18 was the age requirement. The hotel employee Britton was very disrespectful- rolling her eyes knowing i was upset after a 4 hour drive and had no place to stay. My mom tried calling to speak with her and she hung up the phone after answering and continued to answer other calls only to lay the phone on the counter. Marriott I'm sure you have cameras and can see this happening. Very dissatisfied. I would prefer no star, however that is not an option. read more

I booked this hotel after a long road trip for a job interview for my husband. I quickly peeled online and it looked fine and was a decent price so I booked for 2 nights for my husband, our kids and I. BIGGEST mistake ever. Paid almost $200 for a couple nights so was not super cheap. I called ahead of time to ask about a play pen/ crib for our baby and they assured me they have one available. When we arrived, I had to ask several times for them to please bring it up to room. The girl at the front desk claimed to be the only working in the whole hotel that evening! Mind you, we arrived at 6 30 minutes pm so not even middle of the night or anything! She refuses to bring it up and eventually tells us that she's pretty sure they only have one in the whole hotel that is broken, but we are "welcome to go back into the employee storage area and fix it ourselves." Since we had no other options for our 1 year old, my husband went down to get it and we attempted to do our best to try to make it stable enough for our baby to sleep in after they assured us they had one available. Staff was not very helpful and kind of rude most of our stay so we just tried to avoid them for the most part. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Shower water pressure was terrible! Now almost a week after we have been checked out, we were charged a fee of $200 for "damage to the room" and they refuse to tell us what damage! Someone finally said there was a small stain on the carpet after spending hours calling them and trying to get through to someone. We had no food in the room! Baby had a bottle and we had water bottles and we ate out other than that. Will definitely be disputing with my bank as it was more than I even paid for our stay for a small stain they are claiming is our fault. Definitely do not recommend! read more
