We have stayed at this hotel a few times for events in Lincoln, and it was always clean and welcoming. Nice cozy rooms with comfy beds, desks for working, and amenities like a pool and a printing area/office downstairs. Everyone we have ever interacted with at this hotel were always kind and helpful. Was the hotel fancy and full of perks? No - but it was a nice little home away from home when you were traveling. Unfortunately, a selfish person recently discarded a still-lit cigarette on the grounds, and it caused the building to catch fire, collapse, and be completely totaled. Luckily nobody was hurt, but many guests were put in danger and could have been trapped in the smoke and building collapse. I simply cannot believe the carelessness of some people!! read more

When you are staying at a hotel, cleanliness is an absolute must have. This hotel was dirty. The outside had broken plastic, the entryway was dirty and had a strange smell, the hallways had not been swept or mopped, the bathroom had hair on the floor, smudges on the wall with torn wallpaper, and areas of bubbled paint on the ceiling. My husband was very tired from a long day of driving and the sheets and towels seemed clean, so we stayed. The breakfast had oatmeal toppings but no oatmeal. Ended up eating breakfast elsewhere. There were so many cleanliness concerns, it made me decide to take pix of some of it. This is not what we expect when we stay at a Marriott hotel. read more

When in Lincoln, this is a good place to stay. The lobby is clean and there is always someone at the front desk to welcome you. The rooms are average quality with your basic amenities. Our room had a "old" or "Smokey" smell to it. I don't think they allow smoking but it didn't smell as fresh as it could. Best part of our stay was the breakfast in the morning. Eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal and hot coffee. This hotel definitely worked for us for an overnight stay in Lincoln for a concert. read more

We had a very poor experience at this Fairfield Marriott, and we feel that this should not carry the Marriott name as it doesn't meet their standards. The beds were not Marriott beds. There was mold in the bathroom. It was very poorly maintained, and I will attach some pictures on another note. The breakfast also was not the normal Marriott breakfast especially the eggs. Fairfield is the least fancy and the most budget-conscious brand in the Marriott spectrum. Nearly all of these properties are nice, the staff will almost always be friendly and they will all have the free breakfast buffet in the morning. As was the case with this property. Lots of parking, a friendly check-in, a very clean room that was functional and featured. The king bed was comfortable though was starting to show its age. The work desk was great with two power outlets on the lamp. The bathroom was good with lots of counter space. The curtains closed completely leaving the room in total and wonderful darkness. A few dings that could use improvement. The extra door lock was broken off - this isn't a problem for me as I run with the Add-a-lock device that secures doors very well. The wifi got slow for a little while but was generally good. The shower drain was very slow. The shower curtain was hung too high which left it hanging outside the tub at times. Oops. I was put in a room right next to the elevator and there was no noise from the elevator. Some hallway noise and some street noise and the occasional slammed door. Yuck horrible location and this hotel made me want to vomit it's so incredibly filthy. Upon entering it smelled like bleach. First indication that something was wrong. No staffing which is another indication something is wring. Ring a bell then wait. It's a failing hotel tragically understaffed. One gal playing Jack of all trades I felt sorry for her. Why would anyone pick this location to build a hotel? One gal downstairs that's it. Room I checked into was vile, with crud crusted glass in shower, dirty shower pan, a cracked shower pan, mildew, caked on caulking to cover the mildew, stuff dried on night stands, seals pulling apart, turned on heater on window like a cheap motel would have, it smelled like someone had urinated in the unit, smell coming out was revolting a burning sort of sick sweet urine smell. I was utterly disgusted with this situation and asked front desk gal to switch my room. She did. Next room not much better, mattress with lumps and dips in it and room backs to a fed ex distribution center. Omg. I hate this place. Absolutely horrible hotel that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. It's filthy. It stinks, it's in a horrible location and it's so filthy it would likely fail a health and safety inspection. read more

We arrived after a long day of driving. it was right off the freeway. The check in was painless and quick. In the room, we got cleaned up. It was pretty clean and safe for us. They were helpful in getting us extra towels, toilet paper etc. The morning breakfast was an apple, granola bar and carton of milk. They woke me up early in the morning just to say they wanted to clean then they didn't like the fact that they would not take my trash out for me and that they would not take my dirty towels for me and I had my clothes laying around...What they ended up doing was was just kicking me out. I only saw one African-American employee in that whole building. At the same time I was the only African-American guest. I think it is safe to say they had hidden racism because they did not have a valid excuse to kick me out like that. Honestly I hate hotels that have lack of diversity like that one day and I'm so glad I canceled my reservation by force and found a better motel to go to that's half the price! read more

There's not enough words to express how grateful we are that we ended up here after we had an accident in Ogllala, NB on our way to Chicago. Layla, Christina, and staff made us feel so welcome and it was the best experience I ever had on the road. They were the angels that were following us on our way home. Staff make this hotel worth the stay and brings my review up to 5 stars. They seem genuinely happy to be working there and happy to help with any requests (like late night milk for the kids). We waited a few minutes to check in while the super smiley assistant GM was helping another guest with her luggage cart. Definitely happy to wait while the elderly lady was taken care of on a one to one basis. Room is pretty basic; clean and has a larger size mini fridge which came in handy for the steaks we bought from Mercato at Casa Bovina. Working blow dryer and iron. Big closet. Decent coffee. There hotel itself is nothing special; the staff are though. In the morning same GM (yes, there at night to get the milk and there first thing in am! What dedication!) even offered to get some breakfast to go for me as I was carrying a sleeping kiddo. Pool was closed while we were there but we were informed we could use the pool at a sister property just 10 minutes away. We had dinner reservations so didn't make it to the other pool but it was nice to have the option. Thank you Alexandria, for making our overnight stay so pleasant! read more

Our room looked like it was straight out of the 70's. Half of the lamps didn't work and/or had stained lamp shades. There were ants in the bathroom despite us eating zero meals or snacks in the room. There was only one trash can in the room which was just irritating more than anything. The sheets on the bed had black scuffs on them, same with the walls around the room. Some of the towels had staining on them. The ac/heating unit in the room barely worked. There was also a square hole in the shower that appeared missing. And on top of all this, the entire hotel smelled like sewage. It's a shame this establishment gets to claim the Marriott brand. read more

Checked in Thursday, July 19th very nice rooms, have indoor pool, laundry service, ice machine next to our room, there's Nextflex on tv just sign in your account and good to go, WiFi good no issues. It's walking distance from the hotel if looking for bite to eat Ex. Burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, coffee, There's a Super Walmart down the street too. All these establishments are back to back cannot miss it so it's very convenient! read more

This was our last hotel out of 3 within a weeks time and I was very pleased. I had my little family for a one night stay. The gal in the receptionist desk that took out reservation in the evening by phone and finally our key card for our room in person was professional and helpful. In the morning we went down for the complimentary breakfast and it has great options, plenty of hot items, good protein items. I'm a sucker for the waffle maker and they had fruit loops! :) Finally I appreciated, who I guess was the (or a) manager come to our table where we were eating ask how our stay was and offered to throw away our used plates in the garbage. My wife said, "now that's customer service, talking/checking up on your guests." Our room for one king size economy was around $100 but they have some kind of additional fee they charge, for any property damage, that they refund back at the end of your stay. Up front it ended up being $150 ish Dollars one night stay, but ultimately the bill was around $115 with tax. read more

First of all, would like to thank my company for sending me on countless business trips and letting me build up a plethora of Marriott points which my friend and I redeemed on a road trip to Denver. Lincoln was right in the middle and we could get a free night using points, so we gave it a shot. Arrived after midnight and was greeted by a super friendly front desk staff who made us feel welcome. We got out keys quickly and went up to our room. We found a clean room with a comfy beds, nice toiletries and a refrigerator. Our room was quiet, the shades made it pitch black and both of us slept soundly. Breakfast the next day was nice and lots of fresh fruit, welcome change from all the fast food we'd been eating. Doubt I'll find myself in the Lincoln area ever again but if I would, I'd stay here. A little pricier than the motels down the street but I though it was well worth it for a solid nights rest! read more

We stopped at the Fairfield in our way back home to rest up. I was a little worried about staying there because of previous reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff at this hotel are some of the nicest hard working folks I've encountered at a hotel. They are incredibly accommodating. Asked us many times if we had everything we need. During breakfast they came and cleaned up our area when we were done. Top notch staff is all I can say! The hotel had a wonderful breakfast. Fresh eggs, sausage, fruit, cereal, waffles, muffins and much more. It was very delicious and well kept. They keep fresh baked cookies, lemonade and coffee in the afternoon. The coffee was fresh and tasted wonderful. Everything at this hotel is well kept. Our room was very clean and tidy. It looked like the entire hotel had new carpet throughout. The pool and hot tub area was just as nice. The one and only thing that was bothersome was the air freshener they used. It smelled like a sweet cake like freshener, but it was a little overwhelming and made one of my daughters sick to her stomach. Other than that our stay was wonderful. We just checked into this facility & was mortified that Kevin, the clerk who checked us in, was NOT wearing a mask. When I asked him why he simply stated, "Because I don't have one." There was no reason why, no sense of caring. When I asked for the manager he told me he was the manager. The sign taped to the entrance door states masks are required. When I pulled it off to show it to him, Kat/Ket, the other clerk was very curt with me and told me to put it back. It doesn't matter how nice the room might be, the angst I have by this behavior/exposure has made this a lousy stay. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! It's young adults with attitudes and behaviors like this that are keeping this Pandemic going. read more

Sadly I wouldn't stay here again. When I arrived on a Monday at 11:30am, I was waiting 15 min at the front desk with nobody there. I had to go in the kitchen to have the lady go find the person to check me in. I got 2 rooms for 3 nights but only stayed 2 nights in the room cause my flight was delayed. They ended up overcharging my credit card $445 because they accidentally booked me for another 2 nights in 2 rooms instead of just keeping the original reservation of 3 nights. It would have been nice if they would have credited the night I missed after going through all this. For the price it is a decent spot with decent breakfast, and free wifi. read more

Lincoln NE...where the players play. We rolled out to Lincoln on short notice. We got in to the Fairfield at about 2030 hrs and was greeted by an understanding gentleman behind the counter. He was very helpful and happy to see us. The only thing lacking was the fresh baked cookies when u check in but I was too tired from driving to care...well okay that was the first thing I noticed, cuz I love cookies. The staff was very nice, the amenities are adequate and the pool was well kept. The rooms were recently remodeled and very contemporary. There was no Ethernet port in the room, but wi-fi connectivity was available for both my laptop and iPod. They offer a complimentary continental breakfast from 0600 to 0900 each morning with the stay. The first morning we got downstairs for breakfast at about 0850, the attendant made it a point to notify me of the hours, a couple different times. But that's OK, the price was right and I deal with attitudes all day so maybe I'm immune to it. My sister was in the room directly adjacent to ours. She called to verify plans and coordinate our schedules; and with my 2 year old screaming like a crazy girl, my sister noticed that she could not hear the baby thru the wall, only on the telephone. I've stayed at this hotel in the past, I'll likely stay at this location again. Word. read more

Had a very nice stay the Friday after Thanksgiving. Christina checked us in and was very accommodating. She assisted us with changing the length of our stay and gave us a pop from the market and several waters without charging. She also ran out from behind the desk to assist two young boys that were wheeling in a big load of luggage. The room was spacious (executive suite) and furniture was slightly above average for a Fairfield. Breakfast was good, with several hot and cold options. We frequently travel to Lincoln and we will be staying here in the future. read more

She started walking up & down the hallways banging on all the room doors. She could be heard clearly knocking on every door announcing her entrance. First let me say that the staff we encountered were very nice and helpful. But unfortunately this hotel is in a very un-attractive location. It looks a little run down on the exterior and as we drove up we were all disappointed. The hall carpet looks new and our room was not awful just not worthy of the price paid or the Marriott name. Breakfast which is included was good, they had scrambled eggs but were out of sausage, you could make waffles, cereal, bagels and muffins. If you only want a place to sleep then check it out but if you care about the appearance or area then I would recommend looking elsewhere. read more

We had a last minute change of plans and a family member recommended this place. Everything looks new due to the fact they had handy men all over the place fixing the last minute changes. We won't be back. The room was a nice price we booked from hotels.com and check in was no problem. Once we got into our room we discovered our bedroom tv doesn't work. I let the front desk know and they suggest unplugging wires and letting it reset. Still does not work and when I complain I'm told to watch sitting room tv from the bed, there is a half wall in the way and opposite side of the room so not really possible. I talked to the front desk again and ask for someone to fix it I'm then told we were already given a free up grade so basically deal with it. I have not yet mentioned to the woman that it is my husband and I anniversary and I'm becoming upset because nothing is being done, the woman at the front desk was very nice and understanding but from the sounds of it her manager couldn't have cared less. We finally are moved to a new room at about 9:45 at night, I had brought the tv situation to their attention at 6. The new room was a down grade and again I was told we had a free upgrade, which makes no sense as I had booked my room on line before they knew of the broken tv, I ask how did you foresee the broken tv and give me this free upgrade when this was the room and price I booked online, no partial refund was given and I was down graded rooms when their equipment didn't work but some how it was an upgrade. The only reason I will give this hotel 2 stars was because of the very nice woman at the front desk who clearly was trying to make it right for us but her manager was the hold up and really seemed to not care. Book elsewhere especially if you are going for a special reason. Lucky I have a husband with a great sense of humor because it very nearly ruined our anniversary for me 3 hours dealing with a messed up hotel room was not exactly my dream anniversary night. read more

We stayed here the last weekend in April. Yes the weekend of the Nebraska Red / White game. So as you can guess every hotel in town was booked. We were actually in town to visit my mother who was just being admitted into a retirement home. We were in luck and found one room available at the Fairfield Marriott for that weekend. So as you can guess the hotel was full, full, and fuller. We were checked in by a very nice lady named Neosho. She understood we were not there to celebrate. And she went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of on the third floor away from most of the celebrating Huskers. She even notified the house keepers of our status. The breakfast was exceptional here. I love the fresh fruit they have on their breakfast buffet and of course all the other regular breakfast food. Upon leaving after the weekend we forgot a very expensive Michael Kors winter jacket in the closet. We were contacted after we got back to Austin Texas about how they had found it in the closet. They put it in the mail right away for us and express delivered it to us. The whole staff here went above and beyond to help make us feel comfortable. It all started from the kind words of Neosho. Then we take the kids to the pool and our eyes burned from the clorine and is was like 110 in the pool room was horrible. I hate being lied to by a company that should make things right. Great friendly staff. Price on priceline $76 per room. Rooms are clean with new carpet. Bathroom clean and well stocked. But mattress was way too soft. Needed a firmer mattress. Made reserverations for two rooms and did not get them next to each other and they were on different floors. Both rooms were next to the elevator, which I did not hear during the night. But early in the morning lots of loud voices and noise from guests and employees heard in the hallway woke me up. Breakfast on the weekends was served until 10am. It was all self serve with cereal, frozen sandwiches, bagels, english muffins, make it yourself waffles, orange juice, milk, coffee, etc. I enjoyed my englist muffin because they had a toaster to use. If you get there are the wrong time, there is no place to sit as it is actually served in the small hotel lobby. Indoor pool was available, but was full of teenager boys when we went down to use it so elected not to swim. Wi fi worked perfectly. It was located in a great place for our trip. Walmart close, lot of restaurants to chose from and close to the Haymarket ball park where we came to watch a college baseball game. Not sure I would stay there again unless they provided a bed with a firm mattress. read more
