The lobby looks very nice but looks can be deceiving. I don't know how long since they've renovated needs renovation but the rooms need some work. There are holes on the wall and tub had some hair it was not thoroughly clean. It was a substandard room. The worst thing about our stay was I had a boot on my ankle and their elevator was broken. They couldn't fix it in the four days we were there. Not good for people with disabilities. Nothing else to say but.... Pros: lady at the front desk was nice. It was close to restaurants and stores. Not a bad hotel, but for the price I expected a better night of sleep. I could hear the floors creak from the residents right above me and potentially the room next to them, which was even more apparent in the morning when I could hear their kids jumping around with excitement. The beds were very springy and the pillows were subpar. The hotel overall was very clean with a lot of amenities. If it wasn't fully of people, maybe the rest of the experience would've been great. But I needed a full night of rest, and that part was lacking. I tried out their free breakfast on a Sunday morning. Very nice breakfast with some good self serve moments. The best thing about this property is the hotel staff. The employees at the front desk are super nice and friendly and helpful. This facility is old and needs a major renovation. The hotel is literally off I-30 and if you need a good night sleep skip this place. You can hear everything from the room. Room: 313 was a nice size room with separate sitting area and bedroom. It is right across from the elevator, but I did not hear the elevator at night. The room has a nice size fridge. Bathroom: bad lighting and worn. The tub had mold, but at least there was a tub for soaking. Bed: decent pillows, linens worn, but bed was okay comfy The room overall is dirty and tired looking. Furniture is all stained and worn. If I was able to sleep I would have given 3 stars, but the road noise is too much. Tip: Posados is across the street within walking distance and the food is very good. read more

This location lives up to everything you expect from a Fairfield Inn and suites location, except peace and quiet. My room was clean and everything was in good working order. Check in and check out for swift and efficient. The hotel staff was courteous and accommodating. The bad news, was that the hotel is located alongside a very large and busy freeway, my room, unfortunately, faced the freeway. Getting a good nights sleep in such a noisy environment was challenging to say the least! It's possible, that if you got a room on the opposite side of the hotel, facing away from the freeway, that a better night sleep might be achieved. if you find it convenient to stay at this location, I urge you to insist on a room facing away from the freeway. read more

nice staff but overall crummy hotel arrival: friendly front desk staff. Requested room upgrade based on my status. Upgraded to a larger room. Cute but small complementary gift which included a tiny bag of Fritos, a Milano cookie, one Hershey's kiss, and one bottle of water. Room overall: our upgraded room was number 313. This Fairfield is in desperate need of a complete remodel. Dirty carpet, stained sofa, rust mold in the tub, window that does not seal, overall crummy room. One lightbulb was burned out and needs to be replaced. Included a nice size mini refrigerator and a small microwave. Bed: decent pillows but worn and old king mattress. Bathroom: lighting was subpar, only received a conditioner no shampoo. Shower and tub area need to be revamped. Mold around the edges and rust on the fixtures. Sleep quality: horrible! With the window not sealing properly, road noise from Interstate 30 was constant. Woke up several times from very noisy vehicles on the highway. Staff: The staff was very friendly. Free breakfast: very good coffee! Assortment of goodies for breakfast including yogurt, bananas, oranges, muffins, granola, and more. Tip: the Mexican restaurant across the parking lot named Posado's is great. Very short walk. read more

This hotel is just OK. Staff was friendly but the hotel could use some updating. It is located next to the freeway so you hear a lot of traffic. We stayed here because the price was right at the time and it's part of the Marriott family be it on the lower end. Would we stay again....maybe but not likely. read more

Traveled to Dallas for training for work and this is where they booked me. It worked out great as I was right in the middle of restaurants and shops and gas stations, and only about a 15-20 minute drive to training, even in Dallas traffic! It's a decent hotel, although I was sad the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance. I asked for a room on the top level since I was working nights, but the traffic was super loud so not sure that helped much. I think I'll try the bottom floor next time, or on the back side opposite of the freeway. The room was fine. I got a double queen which was actually nice as I had a space to put my suitcase and lay out my clothes. The bathroom amenities were missing shampoo but I always bring my own so no big deal. The breakfast was a little disappointing though as it seems like everywhere I've stayed lately had biscuits and gravy, or breakfast tacos, except here. But they had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, waffles, toast, pound cake, and lots of coffee, so I can't really complain. I just really love biscuits and gravy! They did have iced water and cookies at night so that was awesome after coming in from work. I felt safe in the area, and safe here even coming in later in the evening. I usually got a parking spot up front so I was glad about that. If I go to Dallas to work again, I know they'll book me here, but that's fine. It wad even only about 15-20 minutes from family too so that worked out great. Friendly people, comfy bed, decent bread and although it was sorta loud, it was still a good place to stay! read more

Seriously, worst managing staff ever. There were literally 3 on site managers (always together) at the hotel. Going from GM, to the two Assistant Managers made absolutely no difference. All 3 of them are responsible for the first negative feedback I've ever even contemplated leaving for a hotel chain. This is saying a lot, I stay in hotels anywhere from 100-250 nights a year for work and hold the Bonvoy Lifetime Platinum Elite statues as well as 2024 Titanium Elite statue. The 3 managers were extremely rude, unhelpful and just lack people skills all together. They made us feel unwelcome throughout our stay. It ashamed because the location and the rest of the staff were great. Oh well, I've logged just under 1400 nights with Marriott, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. read more

Hotel checked me into the wrong room, not the one I had reserved and overcharged me. It did not have a microwave to begin with (as indicated in their website). The room was filthy with mold, dirt and grime in the bathroom.. Loose shower head that was hanging loosely through a gaping hole in the wall. Final morning here at Fairfield. It was a good stay. Only a couple of negatives to speak of. One - ordered a wake up call for six am today. Never got it. Good thing I woke before my alarm regardless! Two - I had a nose bleed one night. The dirty pillow was still in the room on the floor when I came back in the evening. The rest of the room had been made up. Friendly staff. It is what it is. A budget version of Marriott. Breakfast was interesting but a bright idea. Instead of a pile of "scrambled eggs". The had the frozen wrapped breakfast sandwiches that were microwaved and ready to go. Cost saving but I thought more palatable. The best part is in check in I educated the check in lady. I'm a girl traveling alone for business. She said we have a double queen room ..... wait for it....ON THE FIRST FLOOR! She seemed shocked when I said here is a lesson regarding single female travelers. Our recent stay of 4 days and 3 nights at this particular hotel were miserable. The hotel is very nice, the staff and management were polite, even though they were helpless to correct the situation, the maid service was excellent and, when we could get to it, the breakfast was really good. The entire common area of the lobby and food service area were occupied by campaign workers organizing for the election of Beto in TX. They were rude, loud, inconsiderate and quite offensive. They had NO regard at all for non involved guests. If you weren't a part of their campaign, you were only in their way. If their actions were an example of Beto's followers, it would an easy decision who NOT to vote for on Tuesday. read more

We stayed here during a weekend visit to the Dallas area for a Tough Mudder race. The hotel was about 20 minutes away from the race and also a 20 minute drive from downtown. This Fairfield Inn & Suites is clean and updated with newer furnishings and linens. It's a nice hotel for the price point, with a decent continental breakfast (although the seating area is small) and an indoor pool. There are several restaurants near the hotel and the interstate is right nearby. Thankfully, you can't hear the traffic from inside the hotel. Our room was clean and had a mini-fridge, which was nice. We had absolutely no issues during our stay. I'd definitely stay here again if I return to there area. read more

Great stay while with fellow Beto O'Rourke For Senate volunteers! The woman who works nights (Joanie I think? Glasses with a cheery demeanor) was awesome and helped me feel at home while I stayed up late working. Great breakfast bar (waffle machine!), and if you need time to yourself, the indoor pool area is a great hideout. Plus it's across from Celebration Station (arcade + batting cages), and walking distance from a lot of restaurants- one had amazing ribs and cocktails in giant fish bowls but I can't remember the name- Joanie would know! read more

Let me start by saying I would stay here again - it's clean, modern and has a friendly staff. On the negative, my room didn't have any toilet paper when I check in - none, zero, missing TP role no toilet paper. The next morning my shower was not hot enough. When we arrived at this hotel, we were greeted by an empty check in desk and no available staff members to help us check in. We waited for over 10 minutes before someone came. She greeted us with no apology about the wait and very little hospitality. When we tried to leave in the morning, we loaded our car and the sliding door to the lobby would not let us back in. We waited another few minutes for someone to let us in, and help us check out. Not sure why staffing the front desk seemed like such a hard task. We understand that the current covid restrictions make it harder on many businesses, so we have been trying to give grace wherever we can, but after 14 hours of driving, and no apology for our wait, that was very hard. This is how I had to cover up the curtains at night so I could sleep because there is only a thin curtain that closes all the way through which you can see all the cars and people walking by. Wish I could give zero stars. worst hotel ever! Checked in my family into 2 rooms (6 people). Hotel rooms had no towels and was told they just didn't do laundry so nothing until next day. I enjoy ed my stay at the Fairfield Hotel, in Mesquite, 8/5 - 8/8. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean. My room was clean and refreshing every evening. The location of the hotel and a prime spot surrounded by great restaurants within walking distance. I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh baked cookies and lemonade upon returning to the hotel, after a long day, in the office. I also appreciated the complimentary breakfast every morning which was delicious. There were excellent choices every morning. The Fairfield Hotel will be highly recommended to my family & friends. I was an idiot and booked a room for the wrong dates. When we went to check in, they were fully booked. I had a melt down. While we were scrambling to find another hotel, they managed to find us a room, find a discount for us, and provided us with cooks bottles of water despite the fact that they had fruit infused water available. Our stay was wonderful. Our room was kept clean, breakfast was above average (cinnamon waffles, yum) and the staff could not have been friendlier. In addition to how awesome the hotel was, the location in walking distance to restaurants and sports bars is ideal. I highly recommend this hotel, and will suggest it to friends when they come visit. read more

They are very friendly, the rooms are very nice and clean, the free breakfast is different everyday, and there is 24 hour coffee, tea, hot water. The indoor pool was a little cold and hot tub was a little too hot, but I asked the front desk to lower the temp of the hot tub and she did. read more

Receptionist at check in was not friendly. A small black cricket was running around the pool. The hot tub had lukewarm water (not warm enough) and not working. Our hotel room had stained carpet so not sure how clean it really was because I could see the stain on the dark patterned carpet. The bathroom lock doesn't lock/ work. We arrived at 315pm & we were told no rooms were ready. We had a room with a king bed with a sofa bed. The sofa bed was not comfortable because 1/3 flopped too much downward. Breakfast was decent with the usual fare: coffee, waffles, bacon, oatmeal, eggs, etc. Overall, I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. read more

I was traveling to Mesquite for 6 days to attend a funeral. We made a reservation at the Fairfield Inn Mesquite, TX. The circumstances were that our adult daughter was traveling with us but leaving after 2 days. We needed a room with 2-beds for 2 days and then only 1 bed since it would be less costly. Trying to make the reservation with those changes was not working out. I could have simply made 2 separate reservations but thought I'd call to see how hard it would be. I spoke with Jamelia who, after explaining our situation, was very sympathetic and made the reservations with changes I'd asked for. It was so easy I should have just called her in the first place. I actually met her at the desk when we were at the hotel and she was as friendly in person as she was on the phone! After we checked-in we were leaving for dinner and asked the desk staff if we could get a non-down pillow for our daughter. We explained if they didn't have one we could simply get one at a local department store, no problem. Evening desk staff Ashely said she would check if they had one available and would call us while we were out to let us know, so we would know whether or not we had to get the pillow. They did in-fact have one and Ashley called and said she'd leave it in the room on the bed. The breakfast area staffer, Salvación, did a wonderful job making sure everyone having breakfast was well attended to, and she has a wonderful singing voice! We had a great stay under the circumstances. We highly recommend the Fairfield Inn and Suites Mesquite, TX as they have a tremendous staff and will stay there in the future when we go back! read more

I travel a lot and try to stay in Marriott properties across the country. I am a platinum member and evaluator for the hospitality industry. This last trip; I found this property hidden just off the highway and close to everything in Mesquite Texas. All I can say is.... I will be back!, In fact I was supposed to travel to San Antonio and stay at a full service Marriott. Instead, I extended my stay here at the Fairfield due to the quality of service, great accommodations, and honestly, a very affordable price. If you are traveling through Mesquite Texas and want to unwind in a place that won't break the bank then this is your stop! The beds are very comfortable, the breakfast is free, there is no noise from the highway, and the service....... 5 star! read more

My family chose this based on location, next to Celebration Station, in the center of multiple restaurants, and the indoor pool. It was clean, no complaints! We used the pool all evening, very clean and room to play with several kids in the pool. I was pleased with customer service also. It was the perfect choice for our visit to the area! They have a free continental breakfast which was well above average. Every hotel employee I passed during my stay paused to greet me which was out of the ordinary and made a great impression. One of the best hotel breakfast spreads I've seen lately, free and plenty off it. Scrambled eggs are easy, but not always great at a hotel. These were great... Also waffle makers were available, bagels, fruit, muffins, a wide variety every day. Staff was pleasant and friendly...every employee said hello in passing and was respectful and polite. When I first arrived, I needed a lighter and the woman at the desk very nicely gave me hers to keep, and was very accommodating checking me in, suggesting the first floor on the end as it's a non smoking hotel... which was a nice idea as it was right next to a key operated door. It was also very quiet for sleeping. All in all staff is very friendly, professional, and helpful... Especially being very patient with cleaning service schedule... Thanks to the staff for making my stay in Dallas (Mesquite) a very pleasant one. I will probably stay here next time I am in Dallas. Thanks again! read more
