This was my first time getting a day pass using resort pass and I am glad I chose this location. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It sits right on the lake and you have a good view of everything. The pool was amazing. Since it was so hot outside, being in the pool felt so nice. It's a big pool with plenty of space and lounge chairs. There is an outside bar that closes around 8pm and a bar inside that closes at 12am. The pool closes at 10pm. Overall, I would highly recommend. 10 read more

The front counter staff was an unpleasant as you can get. Ask if my room had a water view or if I could upgrade. I was told my room does have a water view (see picture). The rooms are small and the bathrooms are even smaller. Only one person at a time can be in the bathroom ( size wise). Only one sink. Hotel guest have to pay for parking. As someone you travels for a living one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. Not worth the money. When checking out the front staff lady never asked "how was your stay" which may indicate they have gotten enough negative comments so they stop asking. Will NEVER stay here again. read more

The four stars is for the bar which has its own distinctive story to tell. For my own perverse and highly idiosyncratic sensibility, the Hilton Bar at Rockwall is a destination place. But as for the hotel, I hate Hilton hotels and always have. This one is less bad than the others - but I still hate Hiltons. * * * At Hilton Hotels, I always feel like I am being overcharged and ripped off. Food prices are obscene for what you get. This has always been true and it is still true today. Hilton's used to charge for internet, which I think is absolutely positively outrageous, immoral, offensive and abominable. They appear to have finally stopped doing that. But I have a long long memory of being angry to the point of seeing red every time I tried to set up my computer in a Hilton room. Grudges built over fifteen years don't disappear when you finally stop ripping people off. The beds are not particularly comfortable. Neither my wife nor I slept well. The rooms look nice but they are not twice as nice as those as those in hotels that charge half as much. The newest thing is to make your hotel look super snazzy by putting three kinds of fancy soap with a British name in your shower with matching built in dispensers. So you get Oakcroft and Soames deluxe body wash, Oakcroft and Soames deluxe shampoo and Oakcroft and Soames deluxe conditioner in beautiful matched mounted containers. (Okay the brand has a different name but you get the idea.) It costs the hotel maybe sixty cents to fill one of those containers out of one of their vats. That does not make it worth paying an extra eighty five dollars a night in room charges. * * * Note that although it is obvious I do not like Hilton Hotels, I would not take the Wyatt R. one star review seriously. Cockroaches in the sheets? Employee with a towel barging in at 2 in the morning? If you want to know what a troll review looks like, you have just found it. * * * So what is the appeal of the Rockwall Hilton for me? Warning: this is completely based on my own weird personal preferences. Very few readers of this review will see things the way I do here. I find the Ray Hubbard lakefront completely magical ... And I am totally totally entranced by the I-30 Highway bridge. I am a practicing Soka Gakkai Buddhist with a set of very strange personal quirks. I chant to scenery much more often that most Buddhists do. In fact, most of my "best work" is to landscapes rather than to scrolls. If the scenery requires me to have a drink in my hand, I find that no different than prayer beads. I go to the right place and start chanting ... And everything locks in for very very deep mystic experience and insight. The iconography and pure energy of a major highway ... Combined with the Herman Hesse cliches of the light on the rippling water Sets everything on fire and opens all the portals. The Hilton Bar has the best view of the bridge over the water ... With the added fillip of reflections from the hotel pool, And at night, blue circular halo lights from the bar's own lighting reflected in the windows. Plus - unlike the neighboring restaurants, the bar is quiet So you can concentrate at a high level of intensity without stupid amplified music ruining everything. You are indoors and climate controlled, so the heat and mosquitoes don't get you. And if you have a glass of first rate straight Japanese gin in your glass, That only expands the poetic imagination, the way that mint juleps expanded the imagination of William Faulkner as he wrote. (Most of that brilliant florid prose was bourbon-enhanced.) * * * So I have had some intense experiences at the bar at the Rockwall Hilton that few other people are likely to have had. And every time I go there, the magic rekindles. I know exactly the table I need to be at, and I know exactly what view I am looking for. * * * If you yourself want to try this, the chant is "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo". If all of this seems like total nonsense and poppycock to you, Then see the first third of my review. As a hotel, the Hilton charges too much for what you get. I really enjoy using the resort pass often but twice the pool was under construction, once with caution tape and another time with the loudest crew of workers installing and cutting drilling the wooden gate there. I was shocked nothing was offered to the guests that day. It was absolutely unbearable. The other day, the music at the pool was very sad and odd. I asked the tattooed shorter bartender with long hair to change it and she said she would and didn't, I ended up leaving. I usually enjoy this space quite a bit and I'll continue to go but there are some things that took away from the experience. read more

Property is beautiful. Room - king suite with lake view, was beautiful. Front desk and restaurant staff were polite and gracious. Woke up Sunday morning to no hot water and cold 'hot' food on the $25 breakfast buffet at 730AM. Cold seems to be a theme. Wouldn't be a big thing if I didn't have to catch a plane. So, rather than 5*, I give this a 3. For $250 a night (100,000 points if you are curious), I was not expecting the 'cold' issues. This is specific for the happy hour bar area. We came for just that before heading to our hotel. Got their flatbread pizza, crispy chicken wings, and couple NA ginger beer. We wanted the NA Heineken but they were out. All the food was really good. The wings were extra crispy. We ended the meal with dessert, we wanted peach trifle but they were out so we got flan instead and boy was it good! They ended up comping some of our items since they were out of some of the stuff we asked for, which wasn't necessary but definitely left us as happy customers. read more

For the price of the room here I'm kinda disappointed. This first... a few hours before we arrived I received a text from Alec. I asked him questions and he responded. That's a nice touch. We arrive and check in the girl at the desk has no personality. Barely a smile, sounded like a machine with canned answers and comments. When I asked if she could give us a room with a view she said you just booked 2 queens. I guess that means that the 2 queens don't get views. Never said anything about the restaurant, bar, pool or what's in the area. The young man at the valet was very friendly and told us about the things to do around here. Where to eat etc. The room is clean and looks nice but dated. No USB port's in the room and limited plugs on the night stand. Breakfast was pretty good but the restaurant was so cold that the eggs got cold before you could finish breakfast. Would we stay here again?? Highly doubtful. read more

Overnight stay on a whim. Room Rate $157 Monday October 10-11 2022. Hilton Diamond Tier member. Room 542 They offer Valet parking or self parking. We arrived on a Monday around 6:30 and their was ample upfront parking so we self parked. The Valet was very helpful in getting us a luggage cart. First impression is wow! You walk in to a very clean smelling, clean cut looking lobby with a gorgeous view of the pool/lake area. The ongoing fireplace is a nice touch to the the large comfy sitting area. The entire hotel is decorated in a very tasteful modern/chic design. Check in was very easy with a very informative concierge assistant who explained our Diamond member perks and made sure she explained the amenities and local favorites. We were on the 5the floor Room 542. King size bed, great view of the lake and extremely comfortable bed. Room was spacious with the only inconvenience being the known "Hilton restroom size" Hilton has a habit of having their restroom doors open right up against the toilet, small restroom but this one was a bit functional. They have a great onsite restaurant (Review of its own) The only issue we had (Not their fault) at night after we return from dinner the entire 5th floor smelled like cigarettes. Note* this is a nonsmoking property. I called to report it and in the morning the hallway still smelled like it but with spray over. I'm assuming because of the carpet. We will definitely visit again in the future. read more

I stayed at this hotel the first week of January 2025. Even though I have written a review after my stay in October, I must write another one. This place is superb. I will do my best to include the names I remember, but I apologize if I leave somebody out. I am treated with a high level of respect and attentiveness when I'm here. The front desk is always welcoming and willing to answer my many questions. Chantal is a a prime example of this. Let's talk about the restaurant. I was lucky enough to be served by Natalia again at dinner. She remembered me from my previous visit and I was delighted to see her. Marcus also remembered me and came by to say hello, as well as, to share that he was pleased I had chosen to eat again at Heirloom. The next day I was fortunate to meet another star employee who was the daytime Food and Beverage Manager. Fernando welcomed me and my family twice with open arms, his big smile. He made special accommodations for my grandchildren to enjoy there special treat ass they were promised. Let's not forget Alexis who served drinks and the vanilla ice cream to us. What a smile and welcoming attitude she shared. Lydia brought her positive attitude as well when we interacted together. Fernando came by at the Sunday Buffet when I was there with my family again. He checked in to make sure all was going well and I assured him that it was. One more person who also came to my rescue not once, but twice! That is my new friend Valet Dawson. He not only carried two boxes of gifts (for my grandchildren) for me to my room, but soon thereafter when I needed a way to open the well taped boxes, provided a scissors to make it possible for me to wrap the gifts! How lucky am I to interact with such special employees who made to feel so welcome at this wonderful hotel? I feel pretty lucky and very fortunate. I will stay here again when I visit family and will hope to see all my "Hilton friends" again. read more

My husband and I booked a room for a relaxing getaway for the night. We started off at the pool area where we had an amazing time. We headed up the room to change for dinner at one of our local favorite Italian restaurants. Upon waiting for appetizers, we were notified our debit card had been charged $404 and a plethora of other charges; totaling to almost $500.. So of course our dinner is ruined, the mood is ruined. After dinner, we spoke with hotel employees at the front desk. They were not helpful at all, didn't know where the charges were from but said they had reversed them. Meanwhile, we have to wait for our money they took without authorization! (Still haven't received our money back and no time frame for receiving it back was provided) The next morning we check out and they charge us another $150.04. No we are looking at $650 worth of charges, regardless if one is being refunded, this is our money we did not spend or authorize Hilton to debit. I would not recommend or trust this establishment with our money again! read more

My husband and I came here for a "staycation" as it is 10 minutes. The area is great. We had a lakeview and it was beautiful. I like the fact that we can walk to everything, restaurants, shops, movie theatre, lake access, etc. If this hotel didn't have all these things I probably would never stay here. The staff is friendly and the hotel is decent, but at this price point I expect more. For example, there were no robes in the room. I'll probably stay here again but it will be only because of the location and it truly feels like a vacation get away even though it is minutes away from our house. I stayed at the Hilton Rockwall Lakefront property in Rockwall, Texas on night of August 13, 2022. The hotel lost electricity for 8 hours and it took two weeks to get a refund for the first night stay that did not happen that night. I had to stay at another hotel in Rockwall a few miles away that ended up getting power that night. I called back after two weeks after resolving billing issues to ask about receiving some Hilton Honors points since I am a Diamond Member for the inconvenience. I felt it was warranted since I had to switch hotels in the middle of the night. There was no electricity or air conditioning. I also called the Manager on Duty who did not resolve anything and just argued with me. Once I called back to the Customer Service Desk via the Hilton Mobile Application , I was told that I could not receive any Hilton Honors points for the headache that was caused from having to switch hotels in the middle of the night. This is totally contrary to what my wife and I were told the night of August 13, 2022 when the hotel lost all electricity. If this is the policy of Hilton than these managers and customer representatives who gave false information should be fired for promising something they could not deliver on. What does Diamond Member status even mean? Hilton you need to do better for your Diamond Members. read more

Literally no complaints here. My stay has been absolutely amazing. My daughter and I booked 3 nights here. We wanted find a hotel that was practicing social distancing and wearing masks. Everyone here did so, and the stay was very pleasant. My room was extremely clean, we got a pack and play, and a microwave in the room (both requested) to accommodate my daughter. The bed is extremely comfortable, and my daughter enjoyed her pack and play. The shower pressure is EVERYTHING. This is a priority for my hotel stays also the breakfast....no it's not included, but is worth it!! The French toast and pancakes are my favesssss! I'm probably going to book here again very soon just to have some time away from home. Also, the hotel being by the lake was beautiful, we enjoyed morning walks after breakfast, and my daughter played outside throughout the day! read more

Stayed here for 2 nights because a friend had her wedding here. It's a great spot. The views over the water are awesome to wake up to. It's generally quiet. The pool area was great and very popular. The first thing that hits you when you enter is the perfume they have in the lobby. IT's pleasant and the whole hotel smells nice. I'm sensitive to bad smells and have had bad experiences in other places. The room was clean and very open. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice. As a Diamond Elite member with Hilton I've stayed at many a Hilton branded hotel (Curio Collection by Hilton, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton by Hilton, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Home2 Suites by Hilton, Hilton Grand Vacations) nationwide and internationally. This has been one of the best Hilton Hotels I've encountered thus far. It is set up resort style and although not typical gives a little taste of the resort properties. The first time I went they didn't charge for parking (except valet). However, on my second trip they did charge. And didn't notify of that upfront AND did not have adequate coverage so parking was often unavailable. I hope they rethink this. read more

I can only write this review based off of a one-night stay. We got to the hotel near 8pm and checked out by 6:30 in the morning. I am an admitted hotel snob- so things such as how well the caulk job is done in the bathtub is a big deal to me. The lobby and rooms were very clean. I absolutely check for bed bug sign- nothing to fear in that arena in the room we were given. The design was done well. Definitely not the "best room" I've ever stayed in (shameless, non-sponsored plug for the Intercontinental in downtown LA- hotels everywhere take note). Clean rooms, comfortable beds, amazing view, GREAT poolside staff...We really enjoyed our stay here. The day prior to our stay, the hotel greeted us with a text and asked us if we needed anything prior to our arrival. I thought, "Wonderful!" When we arrived, there were 2 water bottles, an apple, and a treat of the best caramels I've had (I don't really like caramels, but these were exceptional!). The poolside staff is just amazing. It was hot and they were so accommodating with our meals and drinks. I just wish this hotel had a boutique...and even a Starbucks! They served Starbucks coffee, with some hotel type snacks, but its not the same. I will say their breakfast buffet was wonderful. Eggs, sausages, potatoes, oatmeal, cereals, toast, pastries, juices, and an omelet station. Staff there was good too. Your smile, energetic attitude, and willingness to step in and assist with housekeeping when your coworker offered excuses was worthy of 5 stars alone. It's never helpful for someone to claim well I haven't been here...:just find a solution such as the one I'm speaking of. The coworker was shorter and dark hair and did not appear to be happy to be asked about housekeeping issues. Hotel issues shouldn't be a guests concern. Housekeeping - 1-2 stars maybe...We had requested twice - once from phone call (assuming front desk) and once from what appeared to be housekeeping supervisor but no service occurred. When we finally did receive service it was fine. We requested minimal service (towels and hygiene supplies) once more on the 6th day for our room of 4 people. It was minimal in the fact they only brought towels even though it should have been obvious we were out of toilet paper and shampoo/conditioner etc. Even when I asked yet again for the rest of the hygiene supplies, they forgot shampoo. Ugh. Very frustrating. Due to housekeeping, this is 4 stars. Ignoring housekeeping issues which were plentiful....this hotel would receive 50 stars due to the 3 employees who stood out. *Corporate/Mgmt - PLEASE recognize these 3 employees for their OUTSTANDING service. read more

Bottom Line: Comfortable, clean and convenient to restaurants and a fabulous staff. The Hilton Dallas/Rockwell is a nice place! I wasn't expecting much form a hotel in this Dallas suburb but I found the lobby to be swanky, the rooms to be comfy and the staff to be fabulous. This hotel is much more sophisticated than I was expecting, especially the hip lobby. There is a nice fireplaces, views of the lake and comfy seating. There is a full bar nearby too with tasty cocktails. I did not dine in the restaurant or at the coffee shop. The rooms were a tad dated but overall adequate. (I fully appreciate hotel rooms that have a plethora of USB ports and outlets, especially next to the bed, but that was not the case at the Rockwall Hilton.) The big TV at the foot of the bed and a nice touch and as a frequent traveler, I appreciate that the hotel had upgraded bath products. Sometimes the small things make a big difference. I'm a frequent traveler but I don't have any status with Hilton yet they still made me feel so welcome, like Texas royalty. Every interaction with the staff was enthusiastic, welcoming and positive. To start off this review the only good thing about this property was the view. That's it. We stayed here recently nothing states there is no on site parking. I was told after I checked in and paid for the hotel that I would need to obtain a parking pass but if you drive an Audi R8 you can park for free upfront like you don't already have money. You are charged daily, and you'll be lucky to even get close parking because it's constantly full. The valet laughed at us when we asked where free parking was although we were stopped in the elevators and told by a guest staying there that she just parked next door valet because it's free. We paid 81 for 4 days at the hotel which to most not a big deal but when you're spending 1,500.00 for a room that looks like it hadn't been cleaned since pre-Covid with dust dirt and debris on every surface, curtains when you open them dust goes flying, the carpets stink like dog piss, we even had to go to the nearest Walmart to get Lysol wipes to clean the surfaces the beds and pillows are the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on... especially at a Hilton. On top of that, there was rope tied to the bed posts who knows from what the TV cuts in and out so don't bother trying to watch a show, again this is where "the view" comes in. Lol. The balcony you pay almost 75 more for has some metal framed non cushioned material with paint chipping that'll wake anyone up trying to move them, over an inch and a half gap under the doors so you get to hear everyone who's walking past your room, the walls are paper thin, you'll hear your neighbors alarm clock go off until continental breakfast that's not included with your room it is an additional charge for breakfast as well. I left the room in better condition then what it was given to me as, I didn't complain because I wasn't even asked how our stay was, and it didn't seem like it mattered. Other guests were complaining of the same thing. I've never stayed at any Hilton property and been more disappointed. Maybe do you're research a bit before staying here or Atleast ask to see the room before you spend your hard earned money because the lobby looks beautiful and it is very deceiving. You might have to pay valet while you look at the room though. Lol and don't forget the state&city occupancy tax additional 17.50 and 14.90 per day. read more

We came here for our niece's wedding. The room we stayed in was nice and spacious. They are definitely not updated but it seemed to be clean. The first night we stayed the A/C went out and a maintenance man came and repaired it for us and we had no further issues. The bar and restaurant in the hotel were very nice and there is a dock that allows you to walk around the beautiful lake. One thing I did not like was that we called room service at 11pm to order food to our room and we could not get an answer from them or the front desk. The signs in our room said room service closed at midnight so we were a little disappointed with that. read more

There was a tick in my room on a washcloth. I noticed it when it fell off of the washcloth when I wiped my face. I reported it when I checked out, and the woman at the front desk told me she would tell her manager and comp my room. She also said the manager would call me. I actually got a call from the housekeeping manager who apologized, but never heard from the manager who was supposed to call me. When I asked the housekeeping manager about the comp, she said to call the front desk, which I did. I spoke to the same woman who was there when I checked out, and she said they were handling it. A week later, I still had not heard from a hotel manager, and I had not received my comp. After calling multiple times and not getting through to anyone because the front desk does not answer the phone, I was finally able to speak to a manager who said that Carlos, the manager of the hotel, would call me. He did, but I had to call him back three times before I reached him, as he did not return my calls. He then proceeded to tell me they would comp one night, and that is what I had been told. It's not at all what I was told. To me, it's the principle of the whole thing - I wasn't given what was promised, and it was implied that I was lying. I will not go back to a hotel where Lyme disease is a risk, but I wouldn't go back, anyway, based on my experience with management. Location is good - food and bar were excellent. Otherwise, it's a one star experience for me. As a lifetime Hilton diamond member, it was the first time in 20 years I have dealt with a tick and such inept management. read more

I want to thank Joseph O. for the warm welcome and excellent customer service I received when I arrived. I had an awful 4-hour drive with storms the entire way, and Joseph went out of his way to make sure I got in my room a bit early. The lobby is beautiful and hopefully I'll get to take advantage of the nice-looking pool when the weather improves! read more
