Our family really liked the King Bed with the fold out couch - it was pretty comfortable for our family of 3.

The Hampton Inn line is usually one of our favorite of the budget Hilton properties and we also find them to be relatively consistent in quality and amenities even if some are older than others. This location had newly renovated rooms that felt like we were staying in a much pricier place than a usual Hampton. I was getting ready to move the husband across the country with me as he ended his service to our country. After getting him out of his apartment we needed a place in Bellevue to stay before we began the long trek to Washington state for the much anticipated cohabitation. We had put family up in this Hampton before as it is close to the base, but had not personally stayed here ourselves. The check in was easy and there is tons of parking allowing us to park our uhaul where we could easily keep an eye on it. While the building itself is a bit older as you can tell from the hallways, the guest room we stayed in had been recently renovated. As I rolled all over the comforter, I noted its softness, the crisp sheets, and the excellent squoosh factor of the pillows. The blue modern art headboard and updated side tables with usb chargers were a big plus. The bathroom had also been recently done and had a nice modern feel to it. The room was quiet and peaceful and we slept great allowing us to get up rested, enjoy a nice breakfast, and be on our way to the great unknown of marriage cohabitation.

I send an email to management and responded that he will look into it that he had just taken over hotel and is trying to bring it up to Hampton standards. Over all hotel hallways dirty full of thrash by trash cans since they don't clean every day , people take the trash out of room and place it by trash cans in hall way which they don't clean everyday day .

We didn't take advantage of the evening happy hour with drinks and snacks, but that is a nice perk. On the downside, this hotel doesn't look like it's been updated in decades. Orange furniture and green curtains, orange and brown carpet. The round seating fixture near the elevators in the lobby had years' worth of sitting people's grime on the seat back. Walls in the hallways were dirty at the bottom as if the baseboard areas are never cleaned. Our room had a carpet-like baseboard that was covered in what looked like dog hair (this is a pet-friendly hotel). Carpets in the hallway were torn. They charge $10 per night for parking (in their very spacious lot), which is not listed when booking online, not stated when booking over the phone (which I did), or mentioned at all until you check in. It's not much, but it's still a dishonest practice. I've never paid for parking in a hotel with its own parking lot. Included breakfast buffet was a great feature, and the extended hours on the weekend is nice. However, we arrived in the last hour of service and everything was pretty picked over and not being replaced/filled. The man running the omelet station is a great guy and very personable, and omelets are wonderful. Overall it wasn't an absolutely terrible experience, but not worth the price for me, and way too outdated and neglected. I'll find something newer the next time I visit La Vista/Omaha.

Room was nice, also typical embassy, except the showers are grossly overdue for an upgrade. Shower curtains? Ew. Otherwise, plenty of parking, right of the interstate and walking distance to SO MANY things is very convenient - SMASH park, movie theatre, Cabellas, Costco, nail salon, massage, ice cream, Starbucks, Charred, Panda and more.. AWESOME. Would stay here again.

They acknowledged loyalty status & provided a snacks inside of a seasonal goodie bag. The effort definitely showed. On existing the elevator, the scent changed drastically. Stale cigarettes from decades ago would be my guess. If they don't have smoking rooms, they need a major overhaul to get that stench out. If they do have smoking rooms, they need better separation for the non-smoking rooms. The room was cleaned well & the odor was less noticeable inside, while still faintly lingering. We had a standard K room & went almost immediately for the bed, exhausted. Which brings us to the bed... she was worn out. Not getting old, not starting to wear. I'm talking sit on the edge and slide to the middle before being swallowed up by this very beyond it's best buy date mattress. Lastly, the breakfast room is huge & had tons of options. We didn't look at them all. No bananas, tho... only apples. In all fairness, every property we stayed at this trip, regardless of brand, had no bananas. We had boiled eggs, scrambled egg-like substance that was loaded with veggies & the hubs had a waffle. Coffee was drinkable. For under $100 to crash, it was acceptable. I'd prefer they raise the rate & get new mattresses!

I was a bit leary because we usually stay at one of the casinos in Council Bluffs when visiting family. However, the price was midrange, but they wanted close to $150 for bringing our small French Bulldog. After some research, we found Candlewood Suites for $200 (two nights Thursday and Friday), and they were pet friendly as well. So after a six hour drive from Minneapolis, MN, we arrived and checked in. The front lobby was super clean, and the woman at the from desk was very friendly. There is a small commissary area in the lobby that has food and drinks for sale, and the coffee/tea was complimentary. As a side note, there is no restaurant on site, but they have plenty of microwave food available. Our room was on the second floor, and was the last room at the end, with a stairway access below us to the outside parking lot area. I moved our SUV to that door, but found out our keycards didn't work for the exterior door that was directly below our room. I mentioned this to the front desk, and she said she would contact maintenance to deal with it. About 30 minutes later I had to let the dog out to go potty, and found the exterior door was fixed and operational again with my keycard. Methinks is was a battery that was replaced. But it worked! The suite itself was excellent. It came with two queen beds, a small range, full sized fridge and freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, closet, and a sizable bathroom. This beat some of the rooms I had in Vegas, and twice as clean! I know where I'll be staying next time in Omaha. Thank you Candlewood Suites! We came down for a funeral, but you made the stay so comforting. Oh, edit note: The freezer has an ice machine built in. You just need to switch it "on". Plus, the laundry is complimentary, you just have to supply your own detergent. No pool, but a free workout room is on premises. Thank you.
