I was recently visiting the South for the holidays with family and part of the adventure found us all heading to Florida for a surprise birthday party for my Uncle. Since it was better to drive from Myrtle Beach to Palm Coast we did that and were able to keep the timing all as we wanted to. Fairfield Inn and Suites was were we set ourselves up for the next few days and since we were going to be very active, it was mostly just a place to rest our bones and get cleaned up for the events were were participating in. Upon entry the staff were very helpful and I found my room to be very cozy. There was more than enough room for my single self with the television, desk to work on the laptop and a very comfortable King sized bed. The WiFi was complimentary which was wonderful and the television allowed you to log in to your own streaming accounts to enjoy whatever you wish. I mostly used YouTube on this stay. I liked that there was a microwave and small refrigerator in the room but I will admit that there should have been a better spacing for the plugs near the desk. The wall outlet was full and had the fridge, microwave and television which left nothing for the laptop to be recharged/plugged into. I just used the outlet where the lamp was since it was bright enough so just a minor gripe. There was complimentary breakfast each day and it was quite tasty. Not just muffins and bagels but eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, waffles, pancakes (depending on the day) and even quiche. I ate better during the breakfast than I do on most days at home LOL. So this served well as a hotel to crash at for a night or three if you need to. I'd recommend them and would surely use this chain again. They are a division of the Marriott brand which is quite expansive at this time in history. read more

FAIRfield Inn...let's go with that...emphasis on FAIR. I planned a Birthday Celebration weekend in Palm Coast and chose a Marriott Bonvoy property with a certain expectation in mind. We'll start with my App & online booking, that was super easy and efficient. Next, was check-in where, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite and Stacy & Niyana at the Front Desk showed such professionalism & warm hospitality. Then, there was the continental brekkie which, was decent, plentiful and the attendants were very friendly. After that, the hot tub, BUMMER ...NO bubbles in the warm spa...big DISAPPOINTMENT. Lastly, my room had a certain ODOR to it, but...I travel with a candle, nonetheless...GROSS. C'mon Marriott...TIGHTEN UP! read more

This is probably the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed in. You come to expect a certain level from Marriott and I don't believe this was built by them. This had to be a hotel they acquired when buying up properties. The best thing here was the man at check in who was so kind and had such positive energy. They obviously invested in the lobby area because it looked good, but when I got to my room I was not happy. It just needs to be gutted. Everything is old and outdated. The shower head was green from years of use. The walls were stained. The tiles were antiquated. It was just not pleasant. The hotel is located right off 95 so I could hear the traffic all night. Bed was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, when I entered the room there was an unfresh smell that I couldn't identify. They do offer free breakfast. I only had the coffee and it was delicious. The price was very low at $150 total with taxes. I stayed 1 night for a work trip, but I don't think I'll ever go back until they renovate this property. Full room tour posted on my TikTok. For us this was a good point to stop for the evening. Right off I 95. This is not the hotel we would normally pick. Check in was easy and quick. Guy at the counter was polite and explained everything we needed to know. The third floor smelled a little like a basement when stepping off elevator. The room was a king suite that smelled musty. Very very musty. I believe the musty smell coming from ac unit because it got better after I turned it off. Felt like I was sleeping in a basement. Breakfast was eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal and assorted items. They also had gluten free muffins and bagels. Check out was a breeze. I mentioned the musty smelling room. I hope they look at that. Well where do we being . First off I'm an life time platinum Elite member of the Marriott Brand and hold a Titanium level or a Ambassador level from year to year . We love Marriott and their hotel chain and have a great reputation with our hotels we stay at regularly. We selected this hotel as it was close to where we were going and some of our friends were staying there as well . We walked into the hotel at 2:40 pm we checked in online two days before our visit . When we walked into the lobby the woman working the desk didn't even have courtesy to even look up at my wife and I as she spouted out checkin is not till 3 pm rudely . I replied that I believe they already said my room was ready via email . " oh you did a online checking ? " snapping . I said yes and gave her my name . She then fussed some more and finally found our reservation. And gave us a key . We are not at all people that demand or exist on a status level but we fo appreciate curiosity and recognition of the fact we pick the Marriott Brand because of there training and I believe elite staffing and training. This hotel was a far cry from what we are use to with the Marriott brand or any other brand for that matter . We went to our room ground floor , next to the laundry room across from the elevators . There's a reason I check in early and arrange things early on line , so my criteria saved on the Marriott site will be looked at and I have a better chance of achieving the floor or room choice I ask for . This was the opposite of my requests and needless to say they didn't even look at my requests or status with the hotel brand as the desk staff could care less given there communication with me and their approach . We took the room and my wife was almost in tears when she saw the room and bathroom . It was dirty , scum on the shower glass , the grout was black and mold . So we returned and asked for another room as this one was dirty . We only received more lip service and said there'd send someone down . I told them I wanted another room , they said the hotel was full . I had to advocate to the degree that I said you mean every room is occupied right now . Finally another front desk person entered into the picture as our original woman that checked us in was going home and had no time to deal with what she started with . They gave us a room on the second floor away from the elevators ( he must of read my request ) . So we took it and left . You'd think I'd be done . The room was just not clean, and you can tell they don't put cleaning on the top of their list . The shower was dirty with scum on the glass and again on the Foors , dirt in the corners and shower track . Mold on the vents . And it goes on . (See pictures ) it sad that I'm even writing this review . And I will copy In Marriott and sending it off to them as well . The hotel doesn't offer anywhere to review the hotel . They had other reviews but I could not leave one . I wonder why ? The final straw that broke the camels back . I'm talking to friends the next morning in the breakfast area, they were staying at the hotel as well. After we left the lobby area I forgot to give my friend directions to our destination. So I called down to the front desk and asked to be connected to Mr. John ------ room please . I'm told by the supervisor there they can't connect me to his room . I ask why , for security reasons. Really , I don't want his room number , I'm giving you his name please connect me to his room phone so I can talk to my friend . AgIn she says she can't for security reasons . Really, I travel for a living 40 years and never have been told they could not connect me with someone's room via phone. I ask for a supervisor she says she is the supervisor. I ask for the hotel manager and she hands up on me . We packed up and left . I was able to phone a friend in Miami and get my other buddies number and call him directly . Not a friendly hotel . Not a hotel I would spend a dime at or even walk into again . I don't even know how they got the Marriott brand name . The pictures say a thousand words you be the judge . Never again . read more

Definitely will not stay at this hotel again. I had a package delivered to this hotel with my name clearly on the box. It was delivered and when I checked with the front desk, they said they don't have it. When I showed them a proof of delivery showing that a girl named 'Destiny' signed for it, they looked for about a minute and located my box. It was opened but the front desk person said 'oh we accidentally opened it but don't worry, nothing is missing'. When I checked the contents, I had two items missing. Marriott responded saying they will look in lost and found. This is theft!!! It's simple. No one bothered to let me know about my items. No one apologized. Nothing!! Do not stay at this hotel. Things at Marriott have changed!!! What used to be a first-class organization who actually cared about customers has morphed into an organization who could care less about appreciating loyal patrons. I've been a Marriott Elite Member for more than 20 years!!! Case in point: I made a mistake in booking a reservation at a Fairfield Inn in Palm Coast, FL. I booked a reservation for 1 day before I actually needed it using a free night certificate that was set to expire. When I arrived a day later than the booked reservation, I was told that since I was a no show, they cancelled the reservation, and I could not use my free night certificate to stay. I ended up using 15, 000 points to stay the night. I immediately called customer service to explain my problem and requested the points be refunded to my account. Instead, the property refunded my free night certificate which I could not use since it expired on the date they refunded. it. Now, after 5 follow-up phone calls to Marriott, I'm told that "the property" is not willing to do anything further. I was surprised to learn that Marriott does NOT own all of their properties. BEWARE!! That said, Marriott "Corporate" was unwilling to refund me the 15,000 points. I am done with Marriott. It is truly a principle thing, as 15,000 points "might" be worth $100. I'll use up my points and cancel my personal and business Marriott credit cards and move on. Lots of other fish in the sea! This is a really beautiful hotel! I checked in at 1:00am and the clerk was super friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast in the morning was worth getting out of bed for. I got a fantastic workout in their awesome gym and I wish I would have had time for the pool. The shower was huge with quality soaps and shampoo. We are Titanium Elite members at Bonvoy and have stayed 127 nights this year in Marriot hotels. We booked this hotel on points and it smelled awful, musty and moldy. Additionally we had to move rooms because the closet was broken in the first room. We spoke with the front desk the evening of our arrival and asked for an early check out verifying we would have our points refunded. The next morning when we checked out we asked again and were again told yes. We then paid to stay in another very well maintained Marriot in Daytona. It has been 3 weeks and several phone calls with Marriot not following through on thier promise. It is a shame as we have been members for years and will now be looking to stay with other hotels because of this. The Fairfield property refused to even work with Marriott corporate to isse the refund. After many phone calls, corporate was able to issue refunds. I would not stay again at this site and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

Marriott needs to offload this one. It's old and not aging well. Our room was on first floor near the end and the second we walked in, we could tell the A/C wasn't pulling the moisture out of the air like it should. It felt damp and had that smell of dampness that comes with old hotels and homes in the south. Mold in the bathroom confirmed it's a consistent issue. Even in bed, you get that vaguely sticky feels by when it's too humid. To top it off, dog or cat hair on my sheets, same on floor in the bathroom along with pubic hairs. Cleaning people aren't good at their job here apparently. I chose this location based on Marriott reputation alone and was disappointed. read more

I stayed here once before, about a month before and it was a horrible experience... and I accidentally booked again because I was traveling and needed some place to stay and I didn't realize it was the same property. Well, when I got there I was hoping I would have a different experience and I did somewhat ( the young lady at the front desk was the sweetest person in the world) but I can never stay there again. It's old and it has that dusty moldy smell. I woke up and I had the worst headache and my allergies bothered me, my sinuses....I was completely miserable, as I was the last time I stayed there. I woke up and was shocked that there were bugs. I'm not sure what kind. I don't know if they were tiny ants, roaches, or ????? I don't like the fact, that on the Marriott app, it shows only 1 picture and it's of a newer bathroom sink. It showed a bath sink with a bowl but everything that hotel has is OLD except for the lobby area. I do have to say, their breakfast is top notch, especially compared to any other hotel with a free breakfast. All the ladies working were enjoying their job. They were hustling, everything was nice and neat, full, constantly being rotated and filled, and they were the nicest and happiest breakfast ladies I've ever encountered. They were tip worthy!!! The most upsetting thing about my stay, besides the bugs and sickness, was that even though it was in a nice area and the hotel was secluded from any other businesses, someone cut my entire antenna and pulled off my Disney Darth Vader Topper along with with the rest of it and just left the wires. I contacted the hotel twice and they could not tell me anything except they don't have cameras. It's in the front of their building. If they don't have cameras to be able to see their guest then it's not a very safe area. What if someone had a heart attack and needed help? What if someone fell or what if somebody was coming up to the hotel with a gun....They couldn't tell or respond to anything. Someone who doesn't have allergies and who's not afraid of bugs ...it's a cheap place to stay. All I can say is, I would rather sleep in my car next time... but not in that parking lot neighborhood. read more

Stayed here only because we evacuated from hurricane Ian. The rooms are small, unbelievably does not have a safe and the closet would hardly open unless you forced it. They shut the elevators down for the last two days I was there due to their fear that the power might go out. Even if that was true, isn't this and 80 a violation? Housekeeping could be a bit better too. The sheets on one of the beds were stained I was unimpressed enough to leave a day early. read more

I was very pleased with my stay at this Fairfield inn! The friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere really made me feel good about staying here. The room was really nice and modern, and the breakfast in the morning was good. Nothing mind blowing but solid for a free hotel breakfast with eggs sausage and all the bread, bagels, English muffins, waffles and cereal you could want. They were, without exception, wonderful, friendly, professional and competent. St. Clair was very helpful with assisting my friends taking their luggage and stuff to the room. Her husband is in a wheelchair and she was struggling with helping him. As for the rooms, clean, beds very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, quiche, danish, and more. Very friendly staff- which is always appreciated, but a rather generic hotel. Huge fresh free hot breakfast with your stay. Very reasonable rates. About 10 minutes from Flagler Beach. The AC was on the quieter side and definitely ran cold which is necessary here in hot Florida. We stayed a large room with double queen but on the right-hand side of the building closer to 95 so slightly noisy but not awful. w good size bathroom with flatscreen TV, tiny microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge, typical amenities. Linens are modern and fresh. Wi-Fi worked great! Safe area. Private parking. Laundry facility. Emphasize dining room with some patio area as well. Workout room. Decent size pool. read more

It's tiny, but they do have a gym for those of us that do appreciate gyms. This hotel also offers complimentary continental breakfast. I am flying from California, so still on California time. So, I did not get up in time for the continental breakfast. But it was nice to know it was there. Lol. Free parking is also available on site. What else more could you ask for? Sorry to give this poor review but here I was wet cold and no towels. Then no working phone to call the front desk. When I got down to the desk the staff person seemed kind of angry and put upon about our situation. No apology no smile no friendliness. Did get the towels but still don't have a house phone. Seems like a safety issue to me. The room was clean. The internet is poor. My phone was too scared to connect. I would not really recommend this place nor would I return. We're pretty easy going people and willing to give people the benefit of the doubt - especially these days. But come on So this is a day later and I've cooled off. I'm giving this hotel the benefit of the doubt given Covid and all of the associated employment issues. Perhaps housekeeping is short staffed and perhaps they had to hire desk staff who don't have very good people skills. Perhaps the clerk was having a really bad day. Thinking about it, I think it's more a management and training issue. I want to back off my rant against the staff. They're probably doing the best that they can. Again, the room was clean the hotel was in pretty good shape and not all of the staff was surly. I would not plan to stay there again but would if I had to. read more

This is an older hotel. The gentleman at the front desk had his food all spread out and was eating when I was checking in. He has zero interest in what I wanted and had to say. He did not even try. He pretty much told me that I was lucky I got a room. I frequent Marriott Properties and am an Elite member. I was quite disappointed. The room wA decent but there was no bottled water. Maybe it's just the Fairfield Inn product, not sure but I may not be back. I am thinking of switching from Marriott to Hilton. The room was cute but the bed was so close to the wall on my side I could barely get on the bed without crawling over it. read more

I stayed here this weekend while attending Bee College in St. Augustine. This one was a bit of a drive to where we wanted to be (about 15-20mins) and we had to use a toll bridge to get to A1A, so that wasn't so great, but it was the tail end of Spring Break and we waited a little too long to make reservations... so anywho. The hotel itself is really nice, I think it's fairly new. There is a nice sized pool and outdoor hot tub, an exercise room, and a business area for travelers. No free in room wi-fi though. Or if there was, it wasn't advertised. The bed was a bit too firm for me, and the air conditioner didn't have a constant 'on' setting for the fan, so everytime it clicked on and off, I woke up. I didn't hear much in the way of hallway noise, but we were right by the stairs and I did hear a little of that. I'm a light sleeper though, so all told, that's not too bad. You know how some hotels have the 'choose your pillow firmness' option? This place doesn't, and I wish they would because the pillows weren't really right, for either me or my BF. One was too little and 2 was too much... Eventually I gave up and slept without one. Breakfast was what you'd expect.. oversized bagels, english muffins, belgium waffle maker, yogurt, fruit, cereal, coffee and juice. I'd stay there again if I needed too, but I probably wouldn't make a special trip for it. read more

Alexandria at the front desk was great. She was a wealth of information. Even had a list of nearby local eateries that delivered. We had room 401 (corner room) it was quiet and we had a view of our 18 Wheeler out in the parking lot. The beds were amazing. The shower head had different settings and there was a glass shower door not a shower curtain. I love Marriott chain hotels. There hotels are comfy, clean and worth every $ you spend. You even get a Continental Breakfast. By the way we paid $75 a night to stay here. read more

This was a great place for us to stay. We stayed for a weekend and were able to stay for $69 a night. We didn't spend much time in the room besides sleeping, however, the time we did spend in it, it was clean and quiet. We did not use the pool or hot tub while we were there. This Inn offers free Wi-FI in room and throughout the property. Although there are flat screen TVs in the room, there are no DVD players in the room or available at the front desk. Simply bring an HDMI cable for your laptop and you should be good should you choose to rent a Redbox movie. Also, no fridge in the room, so no place to store your own drinks. The staff was friendly and kept our room clean during our stay. We did request extra blankets on our reservation which were not put in the room. They were provided when we went down and asked the front desk for them. Some complained about how far it was from St. Augustine, yes, it is. This is in Palm Coast, if you are looking for something in St. Augustine, there are others closer to the city for a higher price should that be your plans. We did visit St. Augustine while staying and it was not a bad drive. Flagler beach is right down the road too, with some great places to eat. Be sure to use Google Maps and take SR 100 to A1A Flagler Beach as the road this Inn is on turns to a toll bridge last minute for A1A. We would stay in this Inn again if we are staying in the area. read more

After driving 700 miles in one day I wanted to find a clean, comfortable place to spend the night. Fortunately, I found Fairfield Inn and Suites right off the highway. Alexandria at the front desk was an absolute sweetheart. She got me checked in right away at a great rate (veteran's discount) and gave me a list of places that deliver as I was too exhausted to go back out. The room (304) was absolutely spotless and very comfortable. I ordered some food, watched a little TV and passed out. In the morning I went downstairs for the excellent complimentary breakfast and then got back on the road. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

I want to make sure that the General Manager of Fairfield Inn & Suites Palm Coast Florida on I-95, Brandon Riddick, gets his well deserved compliments and accolades! He was an absolutely fantastic host for our week long stay! We are from Maryland and traveled there looking for a home in Palm Coast Florida. We used the computer in the lobby a good bit when starting and ending our days. While in the lobby using the computers we witnessed Brandon, and his team, encounter many customers, some nice and some down right rude! We were impressed in the way Brandon handled not only the pleasant guests but the unpleasant guests as well! And of course, every interaction we had personally with this young man was FIRST CLASS! We were very very happy with this Fairfield Inn and with Brandon Riddick and his team. So much so, after we move there in September and we have out of town company that prefers to stay in a hotel we will literally take them to this location and introduce them to Brandon and his team! This was by far THE BEST stay we have ever had including the many 5 start luxury resorts we have stayed in. Personality and hospitality are the best way to customer satisfaction! Remember, anyone can make the beds and clean the rooms. Anyone can lower pricing and also have clean grounds and appearance but not everyone can make customers happy and glad they stayed with you! Customer satisfaction is derived when going beyond the customers expectations of making the beds etc. Those things are expected but don't make customers satisfied by themselves! We were driving all day from New Jersey and decided to call it quits at this location. It was difficult to find off of I-95 due to the lack of signs but we persevered and happy that we did. The front desk staff was nice and polite and the check in and check out was smooth. The rooms were nicely decorated and updated. The shower was fantastic and everything worked. The free breakfast in the morning had a good variety and was nice. The entire place was very clean. What a great value! They could be charging much more for what they offer. Very impressive! read more
