We decided to stay at this property rather last minute. But having not seen it except driving by. Easy to tell it's fairly new too. Walking in property is very well laid out. Initially the room we got was a city view and had a great view of downtown. Problem was there was a huge stain on the chair and looked very gross actually. So I thought I would flip cushion over only to discover there was food and trash under it. Again not a huge deal, but when we were going out the manager asked about the room, so I showed her the pictures. Then later they called and offered us a river view room to make up for the issue. Nice offer and while I was not expecting it, I decided to take them up on it anyway. The river view room was nice, but I am not sure it was actually better. Next morning the breakfast was good, only real issue I noticed is after 8:30-9 they pretty much stopped putting anything out. So disappointing to be sure. I would recommend this property, it is one of the nicer ones in town so far I've seen.

5 stars for an excellent hotel experience in Palatka. Anytime I have work in Palatka, I always stay at their relatively new Hampton Inn. Located off Memorial right by the river, this Hampton Inn is in a very convenient spot right in the downtown area. While you won't confuse this hotel or any hotel in Palatka for a 5-star resort, the clean rooms and the standard tasty breakfast make for a pleasant stay. What makes this Hampton Inn stand out, aside from the view of the river and great price-to-closeness ratio, is the staff. All of the staff have always been very friendly, and they even call up to my room each time after I've settled in to make sure I'm satisfied with my room. Having 5-star staff at a chain hotel is not always easy to find, so I do appreciate that aspect. Overall, the Palatka Hampton Inn is a solid choice for a place to stay if you are spending the night in the Palatka area.

    Extras with your wash cloth?

First the good. It's right on the River. Pretty views on the River side. Newer facility. Convenient- what really isn't though in Palatka. Room was quite and AC blows nice and cold. Staff was reasonably friendly. What we didn't like: Those views come at at least a $30 premium thing be on the River side. Already at over $100 for just a normal room in this area was overpriced already. Same if you want to be on the top floor. Those are premium rooms. Ironing board cover was completely useless. They brought up another after we were told that they were not sure if they had a replacement. Towels and washcloths. Cheap. Poorly folded and thrown on the shelf. Looked dirty. Low and behold previous guest body hairs imbedded. Gross! Paint peeling off the ceilings already. Fresh fruit empty at breakfast. All in all a terrible value.

It's located in the Heart of the historic district in Palatka, Fl. We got very lucky to be able to reserved 2 rooms for this past weekend a year ago for a wedding that we attended. We got there Friday night at around 8:00 pm and Mr. Tate was such a gentleman to assist us and guide us to our nice cozy rooms. The rooms where clean and very comfortable. We were 2 couples, Mr. Tate was very kind and made us feel at home not like customers but family guests. In the morning his daughter Abby served us an amazing breakfast She as well was very attentive and kind. We were there for 2 nights and on the second day before checking out we again had a great breakfast and after that Mr. Tate, gave us a tour of this magic place, so much history on this magnificent landmark. This is the first time that we stayed in a Bed and breakfast Inn. And truly recommend this place to everyone. Thank you very much Tate and Abby for such a wonderful experience We'll definitely be back

Our friends and family also joined us and we booked 4 rooms including suites. The resort had a new owner when we initially visited in 2021 and several changes were to be made. The place could be really nice but it has taken its toll over the past 3 years. The owner has not done any upgrades as were promised. The furniture is falling apart and you can't even sit on it with having flakes left on your clothing. The floors and carpet in the main lobby are dirty and stained. The fish tank up front as well as the large koi pond are not cleaned and the poor fish inside struggle for air. There is black gunk and mold all over the glass, thick and hanging from the filters. You can't enjoy the pool because it is not cleaned and there are tons of bugs. It was so bad they even closed the pool several days. The mosquitoes and flying bugs outside are so abundant that you can't even enjoy the outdoors. So much for a relaxing water vacation! Trees were not trimmed and there were several overgrown areas which I feel contributed to the excess amount of bugs. If you walked around outside you were attacked by swarms of bugs. You literally had to hold your breath when walking thru them or you would swallow some. NASTY! The rooms were pretty clean overall but in poor condition. Furniture needed updating and there was no table or chairs in our suite. Just a bed and couch. The electrical outlets kept popping making it difficult to plug anything in. It is sad that this place is in a great location but nothing is being done to make it amenable. Upon leaving we were asked if we were booking for next year. When we said no and let them know why. They didn't seem to care. So we definitely will not be back. I suggest saving your money and possibly going to another nearby location. This could take a turn for the better. But it hasn't in 3 years. Not to mention the owner was not very friendly or concerned. A final note: The AC in the main lobby and several of the rooms didn't work well and the staff thought it best to turn it off. It was better outside on 104 heat than inside a supposedly cool resort with no pool access.

I've stayed at other motels but liked this one the best and they gave me a discount since I stay there so much. I have to be at another job in the morning on the opposite side of the state so I got done at this job about 11:30 am and called in and told them that I'd be leaving and needed to check out after I get my stuff. The tweeker looking chick that's been up for days with dark ass circles around her eyes like a raccoon, proceeds to tell me I'm getting charged for tonight since check out is 11. So I hung up on her, left the job I was on, went and packed up my clothes and went to the office to ask wtf. On the way down I see the house cleaner and ask her if she had been to my room yet she said no I just got upstairs and cleaning the room on the total opposite end of the building right now I won't be to yours for another while. So I wasn't stopping her from doing her job obviously. So now it's time to go to the offfice and it's her and the mgr guy probably the owner who tf knows said that yes if I stay past 11 then I'll be charged for that night. This mf tries to tell me I don't have the right to talk to his house cleaners. lol this is America mf and I'll talk to whoever tf I want to thank you. I wasn't stopping her from doing her job of cleaning my room for the next customer and you want to charge me the extra hundred dollars for tonight????. He wants to argue so I give back my special discount card and room key and walked tf out telling them I won't ever stay here again after paying my bill from the night before that I owed like a decent human being. Moral of the story: don't piss off your customers over an hour of time especially if it doesn't affect anything that you have going on because now it just cost you thousands of dollars over the next few years!!!!!! I hope the owner or investors reads this and fires both these assholes over lost clientele. Remember WE are the ones that pay YOUR FUKING BILLS!!!!!!!!!

One of the three downsides about this location is the street it is on. You have to U-turn every single time to get into the way of the parking lot. There is no other back road or side road to enter. As soon as you enter, the front desk is to your left. Straight ahead is the breakfast area. The elevator is left of the breakfast area, and the fitness center is located behind the elevator. Pool is accessible through three doors -- two that are in the breakfast area and the other is linked next to the elevator. The computer room is located to the right of the breakfast area, with two computer desktops available to your use with complimentary printing. Another downside is the fitness center! It consists of two treadmills, one cycling machine, and one elliptical. Cardio is nice but maybe add some weights? I wish it had more available. Lastly, the WIFI works intermittently. It's great on some days and horrible on the others. It can be annoying when the WIFI kicks you out, so you have to re-enter the weekly WIFI code. I probably entered the code 10 times one of the days here, but I am not sure if the bad WIFI connection was due to my room location. Housekeeping was great. No complaints. A few of them do not speak English, so it was difficult to ask for some items when they were in the hall. Guest laundry is $3.00 for washer and dryer, coins only. My experience here was a long duration and included the days of Hurricane Matthew. The staff is accommodating and friendly. I had the chance to have a conversation and get to know a little more about them, especially when the electricity went out. The manager is very professional and is great at what she does. Breakfast is complimentary. Hours: Monday to Friday 0630 AM - 0930 AM || Saturday to Sunday 0700 AM - 1000 AM Despite all mentioned, I had to move to 3 separate rooms my duration here. I found fleas and even walked around with socks on to see if they would catch on. Manager was really awesome at handling the situation, and I give props to that. In the end, I am giving an additional star for the service, once again. I understand the hotel is doing its best.

The bathroom for ladies is not safe as the door doesn't shut all the way and there's a measly hook and eye "lock" on the door. The outdoor lights go on and off. Sleep, on the weekends, is periodically interrupted by the noise from the diesel trucks of the intoxicated workers that stay there I had to buy ant killer/bug poison because the location sits basically one big ant hill. They will get in your rig, food or not. There were random dogs off leash most every day. Take care of your little ones. One of the long term residents stole another camper's small, cute tea cup dog that periodically ran loose. The cops were called for that huge fight. I witnessed one of the dog owners being thrown to the ground and dragged by her large untrained dog as it tore off to attack another dog. One of the large dogs jumped on me and shredded my legs with their unclipped nails. I will have a permanent scar from this incident. The dog owners always insist their dog is so nice. Someone left a dirty diaper next to the dumpster for 4 days. There is a long term father and son resident that can be heard yelling/swearing/fighting, usually in the morning, as the recluse son habitually abuses his father. The cops were called 3 days in a row to calm down the intoxicated girlfriend of one of the residents that was being evicted. The place is a dirty, bug-filled parking lot with homeless people and their untrained dogs infesting it. Make no mistake this was one drama filled month.
