That being said as it gets later, this location seems to have a fair number of people hanging out in the parking lot area. Not exceptionally well lit either. I haven't had any problems here but it does give you a little bit of an uneasy feeling. The location is great especially if you are looking for a quick easy place for a fill up. Very conveniently located to hop on the highway or grab gas before going into Birmingham. Prices are reasonable and on par with everyone else in the area. Works in a pinch, but I would opt for other locations typically, unless my gas light was on or in danger of coming on soon.

Both the parking lot and store are always dirty and I've had the cashier literally drop my wine or beer several times while scanning my purchases. The cashier rarely ever makes eye contact with you and an actual salutation is rare, the conversation is non-existent. As a matter of fact, the only reason I even come to this location anymore is because they're open 24 hours and it's not even half a mile from my home.

I didn't look around too much but this was your typical convenience store. The cashier was friendly, the gas pump area was clean and the pumps were as well. I'm really just over gas stations that advertise tap to pay and then it isn't available on the…read morepump. When you tap the card it goes through the process then terminates the transaction ... then tells you that you need to see the attendant, Ridiculous! Once it cancels out you are able to insert your card for standard payment. Prices here are high, really high. Gas is about 10 cents higher than the places I typically go. Also, as I was driving out I noticed the propane tank exchange/purchase station with posted prices. Price for a new tank ---- $15 higher than the average selling price .... again ridiculous. Overall not impressed and I wouldn't go out of my way to come here in the future, I'd opt for just about anywhere else.

But it was nearby and had a decent selection for being so small. We always used to laugh at the marquee sign out front that said "fine wine and boiled peanuts"... the key to any south Alabama quality evening. And although I never tried the peanuts (i'm a bit of a boiled peanut snob), they actually did have a vast variety of wines. They also had a decent craft beer selection. Not great. But once again pretty good for a store this size. The staff is always friendly and once again very convenient for this side town. A great spot for a quick in and out if you are looking for convenience.

I have used Scott for many years. I know they are always busy. That is why I call Scott and see…read morewhat morning I can bring my car in at 8:00 to have the oil changed. He tells me a day and I am there and I wait on it. It never takes long. Scott is the most honest person you could ever find. He knows his business and so do his mechanics. I am afraid one day when I call they are going to tell me Scott has retired. He could be retired but he loves his work and when you love what you do for a living you always do a good job. I will still use Pleasant Grove Auto Services because Scott will fill the position with someone who is both honest and knowledgeable. Another thing that has impressed me is as long as I have been going there I have never heard a slang remark, a curse word or anyone taking the Lord's name in vain. That really goes a long way in my book. I loved the other reviews and agree wholeheartedly with them.

There were able to find the problem and fix it in less than 15 minutes with a part they just hand laying around the tool box. Best $75 I've spend on car repair ever.
