Ashley and he team are great with the kids. They are patient and they understand the development of children. They understand what is normal for children at certain age groups! She teaches them a lot of information.my son knew how to spell his name. They did great with potty training them. They have monthly in home field trips. They had the mobile dental truck come, the fire truck, Arlington Echo brought animals and so forth. I would highly recommend this daycare. Your children are safe in her home. She has 10+ years in teaching. The one things that was a deciding factor was she had a curriculum for them to learn daily and not just a baby sitter. Your children will learn while playing.

We have been so impressed with this preschool - I wish we had found it sooner! My daughter had been to two different preschools and neither seemed like an ideal fit for a different reasons. But we feel like we have found the perfect place for her. The teachers are kind and caring (and fun!), while providing a structured and safe environment for our daughter. My daughter has excelled at academic benchmarks- including forming and recognizing letters and understanding basic math. The school has impressive protocols for Covid-19 in place, keeping "bubbles" for the classrooms to minimize exposure and cleaning protocols. As parents joining during the Covid era, we actually haven't set foot in the school, but we feel so comfortable with our decision due to the accessibility of the teachers and the administrators. We have done virtual tours, participated in virtual classroom events, and have quick access to the teachers and administrator if we ever need it. It is a very welcoming school to all its families and students. We have felt the warmth of the community since our first inquiries into the program. It is a Jewish preschool and we love this element of the program - but I would encourage (and already have encouraged!) families of any faith to check out the school. You will certainly feel the same welcome we have. From a parent who has been through a few different preschool programs searching for the right place (in terms of program, location, and price), we are so glad we found the ECC and only wish we had found it sooner!

It's hard to believe how much she has grown since the day she walked in! The teachers were all incredible. My daughter still talks about how much she loves them. The academics here are amazing, as well. I feel like my daughter is way ahead of some of her peers, reading before she's even entering kindergarten. The administration has also been wonderful. The front office is always so friendly and helpful. What we loved most was that this felt like a place where our daughter was known. I've met a lot of friends myself through Manor, as well. I got out of Frost in 1999 by writing to the vice superintendent of Montgomery County Public…read moreSchools. They get oversight from the school board. Frost shreds their incident reports so each time you go to detention, ask for a copy of their full incident report so you have evidence of their panoply of incompetence. The most despicable thing they did to me was to get me out of detention because I was schizophrenic, "I spoke in a dry, hollow, monotonous tone of voice so I didn't read the 'taking of responsibility for my actions' script with enough vehemence" so the high school principal Stephen H. Hitchcock said I had to do push ups on asbestos chrysotile to compensate for my tone of voice to be dismissed early from detention. He said my "flat affect" was the only thing holding me back in detention. Yeah, they're racist. Principal Hitchcock said he had one habit which was to read the newspaper from cover-to-cover "due to deep seated emotions like his idol, Adolph Hitler." He told me, "You should thank Hitler for our school because [he] wrote a college thesis on Hitler so [he] could be your principal." He said that any one that studied the history of Frost would find Hitler's theories. When I went, Frost was for retards who "were guided by their feelings" so students went around beating kids up who "hurt their feelings." Oh, that's crap-- they restrain now?! Go to a gym. Get a very low dose of test to run over 6 miles to drop your BP. Steroids are blood pressure medicine. When your blood pressure drops, take high doses of Winstrol and Dianabol... and I promise you... trust me. Try to exhaust passive resistance. Camp out on their patio and walk around until they think you walked off campus so they call police. Police are human and they get complaints from these places. Like "special favors" and such. The police would love nuisance calls.

I felt that my concerns about racial harassment and discrimination involving children of color were not taken seriously. In my opinion, there was a lack of transparency and accountability from the administration, and I often felt that issues were minimized rather than addressed. I also felt that many staff members had close personal or family ties to the church community, which made it difficult for families outside of those circles to feel heard or supported. While the school presents itself as welcoming and student-focused, my experience was very different. I felt that promises made to our family were not honored and that tuition became the priority over the well-being of students. Based on my experience, I would encourage families--especially families of color--to ask detailed questions, pay close attention to how concerns are handled, and make sure the school's values align with their own before enrolling. At the time of this review, my kids are 6 and 9 (1st and 3rd grades). Both have attended the school since Kindergarten. My 6 yr old also attended Pre-K at Holy Redeemer. We were first drawn to HRS for its reputation in our neighborhood as being a welcoming school with a firm anti-bullying stance. The teachers and administration work hard to maintain a supportive learning environment where students feel welcome and wanted. What sets HRS apart from other area schools is its small class sizes, its balanced and integrated STEM curriculum, and its committment to developing the whole person. HRS students are some of the nicest kids I have ever met -- kind, excited about service opportunities, curious about their world, eager to help each other, excited about math! The teachers here are incredible educators that encourage collaboration and inspire a joyful curiousity in their students. What I love most about the school is how the teachers (due to the small class sizes and their tenure at the school) really know and look out for my kids. This personal attention has really helped my kids to thrive -- both academically and personally. I also work in a STEM field, and the administration and teachers are very open and receptive to my recommendations of activities/extra-curriculars. They have also granted me many opportunities to share my organization's work with the students - which is so fun! In short -- if you are looking for a welcoming school where your child can get a phenomenal eduction in a safe environment, please join us!
