Thick white chunks were on the curtains. They were live bugs in the room. Carpets were stained. I called Hilton honors to try to help resolve the situation. Sadly they outsource their call center now to the Philippines. It was very frustrating. So sad to see how a once great brand handles their business now. We did not stay. We opted to leave immediately and drove down the street to a Marriott and had a much better experience. Never again DoubleTree/Hilton.

Its an ideal destination for an extended stay. As a former seminary built in the 1940's, the architectural flourishes are second to none. Design aficionados will be in aesthetic heaven. There are three restaurants on site - an Irish Pub, a wine Bar, and a Steakhouse with a bar and breakfast service. The wine bar is definitely worth a visit, whereas I recommend the other two options primarily for their convenience. Service is exceptional and the beds are firm but very comfortable, nonetheless. The in-room TV supports casting TV & movie apps - Netflix, Hulu, etc. - but not music apps, for some reason. Fortunately we brought a WiFi speaker. A few notes on accessibility follow. For context, I can walk with crutches but need to use a wheelchair for long distances. And this hotel is all about long distances. We had an accessible king room, and while the lanes for navigating a wheelchair around the bed are tight, they are manageable. The bed is super comfortable but also very TALL. It could be tricky to transfer to the bed from a wheelchair without assistance of crutches. There is plenty of space in the bathroom and the roll in-shower has a good set up with an accessible shelf for shampoo, etc. Be careful with the bathroom door - it is a very heavy sliding door with a strange locking mechanism. The public spaces in the hotel, including the restrooms, are generally modern and accessible. I also noticed that the pool has a swing chair for water access. One exception is the Irish Pub, which treated accessibility as an afterthought when it was designed. There is no wheelchair access within the hotel - you'll want to drive around to the back to use its parking lot. Additionally, to get to the restroom or the second floor of the pub you'll need to use one of smallest prefab dumb waiters I've ever been in. Finally, be advised that the entrance to the hotel is at the top of a steep hill, and the porte-cochère landing itself is at a slant. Be agile with your brakes, and let your companion park the car after you've exited if you can. Also note that there are only 4 designated accessible parking spaces. We've seen them all full on multiple occasions; for a parking lot of its size, the hotel should probably add about 4 more.

Issue quickly resolved by front desk, although this meant that I stayed in a studio suite in lieu of a one bedroom suite (studio suite was still very nice, I just like the feel and space of the one bedroom). Leaving today for my third week in a row staying at this property. And, I have booked multiple future stays. I expect my 4 star rating to go up as I become comfortable with this property and as the staff gets some of the kink/ worked out (this property just opened in mid-January). Bonus: the regular pool is heated (pleasant surprise when I went from the whirlpool to the pool).

We got the two bedroom suite. I wanted a true staycation, so since they had a full kitchen, I brought frozen pizza, milk, butter, boxed pasta, chips, s'more kit, snacks, drinks, etc...It was perfect. They have a very nice pool, no hot tub, but that was fine. We spent the afternoon swimming. We took advantage of the kitchen and made all of our food instead of ordering out, but there are plenty of good businesses here I frequent to eat, like K Pot, which is a favorite, Buffalo Wild Wings, or Ford's or Black Rock, all good. We walked around the stores at Fountain Walk then headed back. They have a fire pit, so they turned it on for us and we made s'mores. We also brought a bunch of games to do a family game night. The breakfast the next day was included. It was not bad. I really loved the biscuits, they tasted close to Popeye's, which is a favorite. I also liked that they offered ice coffee and not just hot coffee, so I had that with breakfast. We took a small swim before check out and it was the best time. I would definitely come back here again. I enjoyed all of the accommodations. It was a good place for a family staycation to relax and pretend that we are far away from home.
