We were able to snag a gold room in one of the gold floor. We love love the staff here. Friendly and kind staff all around. We love the breakfast at the lounge and happy hour as well. I was able to enjoy the spa, got lucky to get an incredible massage. We enjoyed the pool as well. Situated in a nice area. Near the mall and near all these amazing restaurants! Very very clean and we feel very comfortable. A home away from home.

I can't say enough nice things about this property! Excellent staff and location. It's a relatively new hotel so everything is nice and shiny and works like it should. I arrived after a late flight at 11:45 and was hungry and the bar/restaurant (which was supposed to close at midnight) stayed late to make sure I was fed. That would never happen anywhere else I've stayed before. The rooms are clean and modern and the bed was comfy. There was a safe, fridge, coffee maker, and (my favorite!) a plush bathrobe. The breakfast buffet (included with room) was amazing and one of the best I've ever seen. The pool has a bar that serves food and is a calming oasis in the middle of the big city. As with everyone in the hotel, service was impeccable. I will never stay anywhere else in Manila and I wish there were more hotels like it across the world. But if that were the case, it wouldn't be special, then, would it?

Classy at its best . Room has high ceilings . Room decor is a far far better than we have in the US . The Jewel of this Hotel are the people who works here . From the Doorman to almost everyone you meet .They Greet you. First impression would definitely last as only in Asia I've experienced this kind of very warm ALOHA.. .Being from San Francisco. Fairmont Makati is way way above with its customer service compared to Fairmont San Francisco!!!!

I stayed here for 7 days for work and what I can say is that the service has been completely impeccable from everyone... from those who check you in, to those who clean your room, to your wait staff in the restaurant/bar, to those who open the door as you enter/exit the hotel, to the security staff checking cars coming in, to the pool and gym staff greeting you. It's quite impressive on how consistent the service quality is honestly. The room is very nice and spacious as well and the bed super comfy. The gym and pool are on the 4th floor and give you a fantastic view of the bustling city. Definitely check them out. They also give you a bottle of water and towel when you hit the gym. The breakfast buffet is also fantastic. There are SO many options, it's slightly overwhelming, and the options change daily. Options range anywhere from a whole coconut, fresh smoothies upon request, freshly baked goodies, cheese and cured meat options, salad bar, the usual eggs/potatoes of all types, dim sum foods, fresh noodle soup bar, various Philippine and Indian dishes. Yeah, very overwhelming. And that's just breakfast! Check out the hotel bars as well. Fantastic well made drinks with cozy lounge chairs. You can also reserve a driver if you're wanting to explore areas a little farther away. And then you just pay by the hour so it's really convenient so you don't have to rely on sketch taxis. The hotel is definitely a little on the pricier side for what you can get elsewhere but definitely worth it!

Beds super comfy. Free WiFi. The water pressure is seriously harsh ( in a good way ) & the bath products are silky and smell great The bar serves super delish drinks - the Makati Sling is drool worthy and their breakfast buffet if no joke. It's the biggest I've ever seen & has all options for Western & Eastern diners alike What didn't make this a perfect stay for me, centered around the elevators.....their security systems need some help. My key card didn't work 2 of the 3 days for the elevator & even when the front desk came with me to access my floor, the request would cancel out mid-journey and I'd have to go all the way back downstairs I also made the rookie travel mistake and didn't check the alarm clock so I got a nice unexpected 5am wake up call. Would be great if housekeeping checked these things after the previous guests check out! Other than that, very enjoyable & would not prevent me from booking again

We stayed here for 3 nights at room 507. We were upgraded to include breakfast for two and access to the Fairmont Gold Lounge at 7th Floor for P2500 or USD50 per night. This hotel is strategically located in Makati. Near to restaurants and shopping as it is connected to 4 shopping malls thru its basement. We were really pampered during our stay here. Very good staffs that provide helpful, friendly, and attentive service. Very good breakfast at Spectrum with good variety and at Gold Lounge with more privacy.

Beautiful Holiday experience here at the Fairmont, Makati. We were toying with staying at the Raffles (more upscale rooms) but honestly so glad we opted not to. We were so pleasantly impressed by our accommodations; room 422 did not disappoint. Ceilings must have been over 20 feet, linens were silky and luxurious, bathroom was expansive and was exquisitely appointed with marble. Tons of amenities at the hotel; Lobby Bar, Macaroon Café, Spa, Pool, Impressive Breakfast Buffet/Dining Restaurant. Location is phenomenal across the street from Greenbelt Mall. Staff was friendly, accommodating, engaging and absolutely Top Notch.

The Fairmont Makati my favourite hotel in Makati, having stayed 14 nights in 2015 which more than qualified me for the Premier status in Fairmont Presidents Club, the hotel chain's loyalty program. It's serene luxury with only 280 rooms in the property and is relatively tranquil and exclusive compared to the larger hotels in the area such as; Makati Shangri-la's 696 rooms and New World Makati's 584 rooms nearby. Sharing the same breakfast venue with Raffles Hotel, Spectrum does a marvellous job of fulfilling the expectations of it's guests from the two luxury hotel brands. The Gold Lounge from my estimate was around 400 square meters with an ambiance that is both cozy and classy. The snacks are beautifully presented and of course delicious. Since I arrived around 5pm they we're about to change the selection for the Evening Hors D'oeuvres. The champagne and good selection of food was enough to satisfy my appetite. The Golden Lullaby which starts at 9pm presented a small collection of cakes, chocolates, and sweets that completed my day. My experience with Fairmont Hotel Makati didn't begin at the hotel itself, but at airport where I was greeted by two representatives from the hotel. They escorted my to the car promptly parked on Bay 7 right at exit of the arrival area. The chauffeur was standing by the car eagerly ready to open door for me to step in the hotel's white BMW 7 Series. The next morning I ventured to Spa on 4th floor to use the hotel's complimentary mineral pool.

Swanky banquet hall and cushy rooms with luxurious trappings. All in all, it's a rather businesslike hotel, albeit a very nice one. Having visited other Fairmonts, this is not my favorite, and it's not the most budget hotel around. But is quite conveniently located if you're doing short term business in Makati and don't want to fight Manila traffic on the regular.

I LOVE this place. I enjoyed every moment we had stayed here and I highly recommend this place to everyone. The respect and service you get is beyond words that I can explain. From the time you get off your vehicle to when your come thru the open doors and to your room. We had stayed on the seventh floor in the presidential suite and Love the Mirienda and cocktail hours of the day. The breakfast downstairs is awesome. It was my Fiancé first experience and to visit the Philippines and staying at the Fairmont Hotel is not too much of a culture shock to him. I love how they know when prepare your bed at night and they are just very attended to your needs. It was a good call for us to stay here and thank all the staff that made this experience a exceptional one. I would stay here again in the future.

Have you ever wanted to be treated like Royalty? The answer is the Fairmont Makati. From when you exit your vehicle, greeted by the bell hops, the concierge, the welcoming, everything at this hotel is just filled with so much warmth that you might never want to leave. On my first and recent visit to the Philippines, my father talked of his second home, the Fairmont Makati, and to my surprise it became my second home. The lobby is decorated sophisticated and modern, and everyone is ready to fetch your bag, say hello, or ask if you need help. As you sit in the lobby, and of course order your Mango juice because you realize, duh You're in Manila, the server also presents you with some yummy snacks, wasabi chips, peanuts, and high class service. Within our stay we also had access to the Breakfast Buffet complete with all your Traditional Filipino Dishes, some Dim Sum, Fresh Fruit including yours truly, Mango as well as all your American stables-bacon-eggs-sausage, there was really no room to eat the rest of the day. The room we had came with a beautiful view of the trendy business area of Makati, the polished pool, and sunsets in the evening. Not to mention the pool has a deal all you can drink happy hour for 495 pesos aka $10! You can beat it, a little San Miguel here, a little San Miguel everywhere. As far as the room goes, high thread count sheets, fluffy pillows, ultra luxury rainfall shower along with a giant tub, slippers and robes to lay in while watching your high definition flat screen. Needless to say ladies and gents, and again I say if you wanted to be treated like Royalty, stay at the Fairmont Makati.

The location is near nice shoping and dining destinations. Some negatives.. Overall the hotel restaurants are too expensive . Shangri-La, you already got me with the room rates so let up on the dining prices. I suggest skip the fancy seafood buffet. It was ridiculous how you need to order a tiny lobster one by one and wait something like a half hour for it to be cooked. If you are a drinker like I am, stay away from the lobby piano and bar area. Service was too slow, drinks aren't stiff enough and the prices are too high. The swimming pool is on a roof which sounds cool but the sun was blazing hot. Not enough shaded seats. For that matter not enough seats in general. Also the cement around the pool is extremely slippery when wet. I slipped and almost threw a hip out trying to regain my balance. Be careful.

Two tennis courts a decent size gym and an outdoor smoking area for those who smoke. The food... Lobby Lounge Service most times was excellent with a few gaps at times. Chicken Cesar was very good, decent amount-of chicken and just the right amount of dressing. The cheese burger was good as well. But if you have the time hit the sage grill for the Wagyu burger, much juicer and actually cheaper. Sage Bar... Nice interior and again super friendly and attentive staff. Wagyu burger with fries was very good. Cooked perfectly and was very juicy. A solid choice. I thought the burger was good but the pork belly was just as good. The apple marmalade was a great addition. Circles... Very large buffet that had all kinds of options. We usually went for breakfast but everything from eggs to sushi fish head and some regional dishes. Recommend to try some nee things as you can take a bite or two Really enjoyed this place while balancing work and exploring the area.

However underneath the facade of the lobby is a very meh and dated hotel room. Desks with old wooden squeaky drawers, an air conditioner with a mind of its own, no DND indicator at the door, and a faucet controlled by two knobs that need constant fine tuning throughout the shower. The check-in and check-out process seemed to take forever, and I can't imagine what it would be like during peak season when they're likely slammed. It's not all bad though. I think it's nice that they use Malin+Goetz products in the bathroom. And the bed itself seemed the one new contemporary thing in the room, which made for a comfortable sleep. The breakfast selection was decent, and a complimentary welcome drink was a nice touch. Still, given the variety of competition and options in the neighbourhood, I wouldn't make it a top choice despite it being the closest walk to Greenbelt.

But it had a very good rating on Booking.com, and my sis liked the location, so close to her office. RED PLANET AMORSOLO When we arrived at Red Planet Amorsolo, what immediately struck us was the clean and bright parking area. It was full, though, so we were directed to park out front. The front desk is located on the second floor, and there's a small cafe there where you can order some light snacks like muffins, and use some public computers. The area is nice and clean, if a bit simple and no-frills. The building looked new and clean. The elevator is modern. The corridors were also nice and clean. Most importantly, the RED PLANET AMORSOLO FELT SAFE. My sis tried another budget hotel in Makati last week, on the same price range (around P2,000 per night), and it was old and musty and did not feel safe. Red Planet Amorsolo is located just behind the Burgundy Corporate Tower in Makati, near Makati Medical Center. You can easily walk to Pasong Tamo (Chino Roces Ave.), Buendia (Sen. Gil Puyat Ave.) or Ayala Ave. Okay, I am not a fan of the name changes of the streets. Many places to eat are within walking distance, the better ones nearby are along Ayala Ave., but Ministop, Mang Inasal and McDonald's are the nearest. If too lazy to head out, you can always have food delivered! Just call the front desk and let them know that you are expecting a delivery. They will assist the delivery guy in going to your room. UPDATE: There's a small Taiwanese grocery store in the building just immediately to the left of the hotel. It's called TPE Market, but it's not very visible because a lot of trucks and cars are parked in front of it, covering the sign and the door. They sell very good bento box meals for only P190! THE ROOM The room was actually quite small, smaller than we expected, and it was pretty basic. However, it was bright and clean, the bed looked clean, nice and inviting, the bathroom was clean and new, the hot/cold water pressure was strong. There's a small safe. Bath towels are provided, but that's it. There's a soap dispenser and a 3-in-one shampoo, body wash and conditioner liquid dispenser in the shower. There's no toothbrush provided, so bring your own. The bathroom door is frosted glass, but the rest of the bathroom has real walls. There is no closet area, and there are no amenities for coffee/tea. You can ask for some hot water from the front desk, but that is just too much trouble to do every time. So I took a quick trip to Shopwise, just a quick, P7.00 jeepney ride along Chino Roces (Pasong Tamo) around the corner, and luckily found an electric kettle on sale for P388.00 for my coffee / tea / oatmeal and instant cup noodle needs. While there, I also bought some supplies like snacks and dish soap. There is no refrigerator, so only bring snacks that don't need any refrigeration. Oh, and bring your own mug. Luckily, I brought my travel utensils set, a spoon, fork and chopsticks set with case that I bought from 168. Also, be careful if you're eating in the room. Upon checking in, we were told that we would be charged for any stains that we might make. We also bought drinking water and whatever else we needed from the 7-Eleven on the ground floor of the hotel. Aircon is cold, and there's a ceiling fan as well. There's a little bar with hangers where you can hang up some clothes. Also, there's no phone in the room. They have an app you can download to chat with the staff if you have any requests, I guess. There's a phone near the elevators that you can use to call the Front Desk. There's a big flat screen TV that has all the basic cable channels, including CNN and the Asian Food Channel. There's FREE WIFI and the internet speed is pretty decent but won't win any speed awards. SUMMARY At this price range, I think this is the best option for a budget hotel stay within the heart of Makati. If all you need is a clean, safe, affordable place to stay in Makati, I'd recommend the Red Planet Amorsolo. I would stay here again if I ever needed a place to stay in Makati -- this is now Option #1 if stranded in Makati. Rainy days are coming, you know. Better to bunk here for the night with friends or officemates, where it's safe and dry, than go through 8-hour traffic or epic floods trying to get home. It is run professionally, with young staff who are educated and professional. If I didn't know it was a hotel, I would have thought that it was one of those popular, expensive gym chains! The place is clean, new, well-lighted and feels safe. There's also a guard at the front who will help you out with parking and what not. It was the total opposite of what I expected the hotel to be (I expected it to be cheap-looking and dirty).

I was waking up past breakfast time (0700-1000) so I wasn't able to check it out. I would suggest to just book the accommodation and just get some grub outside of the hotel. The room was clean. Check in/out was a breeze and the reception area had 4 Apple computers you can use to browse the web.
