Rick stopped by later that same afternoon, gave a quote and scheduled repair for the following day. The next day they showed up exactly as promised, replaced the broken spring assembly, and charged me under the amount originally quoted. He met with me after the repair and suggested how I might maintain the equipment to keep it running. They were fast, professional, friendly, and they did a great job for a very reasonable price. They said because they do business with the same standards that we have, so that was good enough for me!! I called GEORGE MALLOCH CO. and spoke with Steve Malloch the owner. I told him my situation and he said they could come out the that day. Rick Malloch, George's son came out and made some adjustments so my door finally stayed down. I came home Thanksgiving evening and the door wouldn't open. I manually opened that heavy door. Rick had warned that my opener was 20 years old and it wouldn't probably last much longer. Boy was he right! I tried to get the door open with the opener and parts started falling out of the motor!! I bought a new Chamberlin 3/4 quiet opener on sale. Today, Wednesday, Rick came out and in one hour they had it installed, they hauled away the old opener and parts. The door went up so smoothly and more quietly. I love it! Everyone with this company is always so incredibly kind, from the woman on the phone who scheduled me, to the men that have come out to my home for repairs and tune-ups. My window was 8-10am and just before 8:00am, I got a text with a photo and an "about me" section so I could see who was coming to my home. Such a nice touch! Their senior technician, Josh, arrived a few minutes after 8:00am, looking just like his photo, with another young man who was shadowing him. I showed Josh what I thought happened, he was very reassuring that this is common (which was such a relief to hear), and within a few minutes of looking it over, he calmly explained what my garage would need and why. Despite my door being crooked and assuming there would need to be a lot replaced, most of it was repairable. Only the cables and a couple of brackets needed replaced. The price was phenomenal, lower than I was anxiously googling last night, so I was even more relieved! The work was done in a reasonable amount of time, the guys made me feel safe and comfortable, they showed me the utmost respect, and suggestions for future items to consider were explained without being pushy. My elderly neighbor, who needs a new garage door, saw their van and came outside to ask them to chat with him next. I know they probably don't always have time in their busy schedule for a quote but they made time for him, which was very sweet.
