The atmosphere is really nice, but the coffee isn't that good. Their americano is very weak. Weeks later, I went back to meet a friend, and I ordered a hot pumpkin pie latte. It wasn't nearly as good as Starbucks's pumpkin spice latte, and it was served luke warm. The barista offered to microwave it, but it was still cold. What horrible service. For $4.99, a hot latte needs to be hot on the first attempt. Either Scott L. works there or he is in cahoots with them. Don't trust this scammer! read more

I love the coffee here; they carry Stumptown so I'm a fan of that and it's also in a convenient location if you live in the Brush Prairie area. The employees are friendly and are always more than willing to fix any issue with your order. The atmosphere is very laid back... which is good if you're just coming to hangout or chat with a friend. As for reading or studying, which is mainly why I come to coffee shops, this isn't the place for you. The employees choose the music on their phones and play it as loud as possible, so naturally, there's some quite a bit of annoying noise in the background. Along with that, there doesn't seem to be an "inside voice" with the employees so this adds on top of the noise. I have to either plug in some calming music pretty loud or go outside to read or focus on anything. Again, the coffee is great, the people are great, but just be warned that the atmosphere may not exactly be what you're looking for. read more

I recently relocated to this part of town and was happy to find Fairway. Now, I haven't tried any of their lattes, but their Stumptown cold brew is pretty tasty. I will say that it's a little on the expensive side, with a large costing nearly $6 after taxes. The staff is always friendly, the line moves relatively fast and I adore that they offer a drive-thru. I cannot wait for it to get chilly again so I can start trying hotter drinks. Until then...cold brew for life! read more

I've been here about 5 or 6 times over the course of a few months and the service is consistently friendly and helpful. Coffee is good, not incredible like Coava or Torque, but they use Stumptown and it's solid. Environment is low key with room for up to 15 or more. I'd come back. read more

I came in this morning for a quick coffee run for my family and handed the lady at the window a free stamp card for my medium drink and then my debit card along with another stamp card I had that was almost full as well for my other drinks. When she handed my coffees and pastry I asked where my stamp card was and she said I only gave her one card, accused me of lying and then after persistently telling her I remember giving her a my other card and I'm not that oblivious to my actions she finally gave me my card back. I don't know what is up with this establishment but they are and always have been very sketchy. PLUS my coffee orders were wrong too. I didn't get any of them half sweet, or extra hott, they were ALL lukewarm I dumped them. Don't know why I didn't learn my lesson. This is probably our favorite coffee shop in town! My vanilla lattes are perfect all the time and my husband loves his white chocolate americanos here! The baristas seem pretty nice although I'm there for the coffee so the baristas aren't really the determining factor for my review. I also do enjoy their vanilla (not the vanilla bean) frappes with coffee in the summer time. I'd say the prices are reasonable for a coffee that good! I've been here enough times to give them chances and see if they can redeem themselves in their customer service but STILL lacks everything that a coffee shop is suppose to have. I went through the drivethrough today at 12:30, ordering one latte and one americano. The employee asked if that was all and said she would have our total at the window. Once we got to the window, she didn't include the americano in the total so we asked about it. She said "no you didnt." When we said no, we did order a hazelnut americano, she said "no you didn't. Thank you, but you didn't" in a tone dripping in such a rude condescending tone that spoke of haughty self rightousness. I will not be coming back here to this establishment. The customer is always right, and even if they're wrong, you NEVER speak to another human being like that. I will not be coming back. That type of individual should not be working the drive through window, she has absolutely no couth and needs SERIOUS customer service training. read more

My wife love this place and I can't stand it! Their drive thru sucks. For some reason they can't seem to get it together. When you asked for whip cream it never comes with it. When you asked for cream and sugar in your dripped coffee and realized a mile down the road they didn't put it in. This is the not the first time and I keep on coming back because of my wife. The last few times I have been here it hasn't been that awesome. The coffee tastes funny and very sugary if you order something besides a basic latte... Their baked goods aren't that great and the staff seems rude and off-putting. I have came in a few times with friends to sit and felt like we were being annoying by how the staff was acting. Also been through the drive thru a handful of times that have all lead to the order being wrong with silly things like milk substitutes which I believe is a huge deal since I am allergic and make that clear... Wow - extraordinarily bad service. We came here in the late afternoon to get some work done for a couple of hours because of a positive Yelp review that made it sound like this place was good, had good customer service, had WiFi, etc. Couldn't have been further from the truth. I've never had a worse experience at a coffee shop. Not only is there no cell service inside - but the internet was down and the barista said he was unwilling to reset the router because of a "rush" of people. So... 2 coffees purchased for no reason because of some kid who gets overwhelmed by more than 1 order won't be even halfway helpful. We are out and about and spend a lot of time at coffee shops - most of our meetings with clients are held at coffee shops... I can honestly say I will never recommend this place to anyone. This is an indispensable community meeting place and a source for top tier coffee. The Orchards-Brush Prairie area is rapidly transitioning from farms and stables to apartments and grocery stores. What makes a neighborhood habitable? A place like this is exactly what we needed as a place to gather and imbibe. Decor is simple and a nice cycle of local photographers and artists. The staff are hospitable and skilled baristas. I mostly inhabit close-in Portland, but when I'm banished to the burbs, I am so grateful for a taste of home. read more

This place is a bit out of the way for some, but I find it close for me. They have a large table, which seats eight. This, alone, is rare for coffee shops. There are also a few leather or fake leather, deep chairs, three small two-seater tables, and a couch, all separated from each other for small groups. They serve Stumptown, which is locally roasted. They have hemp milk, so another plus there for those who like it. For some reason, hemp is harder to find than almond milk at coffee shops. They are a bit pricier than some, but not by much really. $4 for a 16oz flavored coffee is typical. Granted, it's sixty cents more for soy or almond milk and a dollar for hemp. I'm willing to pay the extra dollar for hemp...it's that good. Hemp doesn't cover up or interfere with the taste of coffee like soy and almond do. As I was saying though, they have plain drip for the fans of Stumptown black. They serve hair bender from what I saw. They have local paintings for sale on the walls, a row of seats facing the front window so you can stare at strangers driving through or walking. There are pastries, bagels and bananas even. Unfortunately, for the gluten free, the fruit is the only edible option. I will say, I think they use to much flavor in their coffee. However, I like my flavor to be an accompaniment to the coffee, not drown it out. I always order my latte's with half the syrup, regardless of where I get them. Here, I would say a third or even a quarter would be more appropriate for my taste. So, most people would likely be happy with the flavor amount. I like less than average. Overall, I would say this is a good coffee shop. They have hemp milk, punch cards, a large table, and goodies to munch on. There is no sign for it at the corner. If you come up to the corner with the new Winco sign, turn West and then immediately turn right to enter the parking lot with the coffee shop. It's nice to have another locally owned and run and sourced shop in the area. I try to support the non-chains, so I will be back. read more

So glad this shop opened up and that they carry Stumptown Coffee. The atmosphere in this shop is great and they have an incredibly friendly and hard working staff. I've probably been to Fairway 30 to 40 times including sitting in and drive through and I've never once had a bad experience. This is the best coffee in the area for sure. I'm a massive coffee dork. This shop is not a slow bar so don't come here expecting that. You're not going to get an americano the way you do at the actual Stumptown shops in Portland. If you order a pour over it's going to come in 16oz not 8 like you may be used to. That's perfectly fine though. Their clientele is made up of soccer moms, people with real jobs and high school students because of their close proximity to Prairie. The customers here don't have to time...or interest...in what flavor notes your palette can pick up. They just want a solid cup of coffee in an environment great for meeting people which Fairway delivers. Love this place! read more
