I usually pass this place on my way to visit my boyfriend and convinced him we should stop by and try it. The barista was friendly but me and my bf agreed that was one of the worst mochas and dirty chai we've tried. It was watered down and just not a good flavor in general. I really wanted to like it because of it's location but I can't give it higher than two stars :( read more

Aly's is an excellent little drive-up coffee shack near the Donut Nook. You know what that means! Donuts and lattes all dayyyyyy! Or until 2 pm or whatever. The drinks here are nice and strong--no overly milky iced lattes, nothing too syrupy sweet. The proprietor always remembers me and asks how my husband and I are doing, which is one of my favorite reasons to go somewhere (I have no friends, wheeee!). I recommend the vanilla latte or Mexican mocha. Meximochas are hard to get right because they're usually powder-based but at Aly's they're always sure to mix it well before adding the milk. I recently moved to the area and was looking for a great place to get coffee on my way to work. This little drive-thru is AWESOME! For being organic the prices are great, and the coffee is even better. They also have a pretty great selection of muffins, yogurt, smoothies, and breakfasty items. It is the type of local small business you love to support. You can tell the owner really cares about the customer and delivering a great product, plus they are always really friendly and nice. It makes that first cup of coffee in the morning that much sweeter when it's delivered with a smile. Treat yourself to a damn good espresso drink, served up (usually) by the owner herself! Go regularly enough, and she'll even remember your order! You won't find any bikini's or millennials that only make half-hearted small talk to increase their tip. Just great prices, milk selection, and syrup flavors. To be fair: this is right down the road from me. I have been here several times now. Probably my most favorite thing is that this is locally owned, family owned & operated. It's one of those little espresso stands in a parking lot in between St John's & St James. One very awesome thing they do is carry a lot of organic, non GMO & local products. Including a large variety of different dairy & non dairy alternatives. The lines are always short. You may wait for a few minutes but it's worth a short wait. The espresso is smooth. The taste is very original for such a small stand. I've received nothing but great service. They also have a punch card. So you can save up your punches & get a free drink. That's a nice bonus. I would recommend giving this place a try. Especially if you are getting tired of the chain espresso places that seem to serve all the same stuff, the same way. read more

I got a small mocha. Pretty simple for a coffee stand but the mocha was flavorless and tasted like a watered-down hot chocolate made from a packet. There was no coffee flavor whatsoever and not enough chocolate to give it even a creamy hot cocoa flavor. I think it's odd that I see so many great reviews for this place and yet my mocha was one of the worst I've ever had. I didn't drink it I threw it away after about 3 drinks. I've said this before and I'll say it again: The key to good coffee is consistency. If you have different workers making your beverages make sure that they are using measurements to ensure that everyone's drink is the same every time.... but toy have to have a good product to start. read more

I like to go here almost every day because Michelle is super nice and her organic and sustainable coffee is the best! My son who is 19 doesn't drink coffee very often but since I got him a mocha here he started to like coffee now. His brother took him to Thatchers coffee the other day and he didn't like his movhs there he said Michelle's mocha was 100 times better! I'm a regular Starbucks drinker because my husband likes to go there but honestly I like Michelle's coffee better. read more

Wonderful coffee with an extremely friendly and enthusiastic owner! I had a soy pumpkin spice latte and my boyfriend had a mocha vanilla latte. The espresso was amazingly smooth and flavorful without a bitter aftertaste, and the soy milk was perfectly done. We were far from home (we are from Delaware on th east coast) and this place provided the best coffee experience we could ask for while visiting the Pacific northwest. read more
