Lily and her team was hands on with helping us get our place staged for photos so the online listing would draw some interest. We didn't expect much but we were blown away with the photos and the ultimate listing (including the description). Though it took several weeks of open houses and showing, the end result was Lily was able to sell our co-op (it happened to be a time where the real estate market was on the downturn due to rising interest rates). We were kept up to speed every step of the way, Lily was in constant communication with us at every step and made us feel at ease. You are lucky that your careless realtor did not break the 2k AC unit. It's never wise to push any electronics to the limit. You are responsible if you break it. Just a friendly reminder. A good salesperson would never say the things she did. It's always better to accept your mistakes and see if you can do better in the future. This way, at least I could recommend you to others but I cannot due to your lack of effort and acknowledgement. Having too much pride is not the best way to improve business. She made it very clear that she "needed a rental", meaning she was more interested in the quick month's rent as her fee, instead of meeting the needs of the renter. I was very let down, and even when I tried to continue working with her - she stopped returning my calls and e-mails. You are not doing me a favor by helping me find an apartment. The real estate agents are the middle men getting in the way and taking a month's rent from me. I'll go somewhere else when I buy a house. Their loss.

This agency specifically specializes in a neighborhood in Brooklyn near to Prospect Park (the furthest apartment from the park that they showed me was Ocean Avenue near Cortelyou). Jonelle has a personal relationship with many management companies in this part of Brooklyn and, if you give her your exact specifications, she is able to quickly pinpoint the right apartments to show you - this being a very valuable skill in an city where everyone is so busy! When it came down to finding an apartment, Jonelle got me to see an apartment which was just coming off of renovations. I got a call/ text that she had a brand new listing in a neighborhood that I liked and quickly arranged for me to walk through with the management company. Luckily for me, it had just been finished and had not been seen yet by other applicants. So, I was the first applicant on the unit and it was a seamless process; I was approved for it very quickly and with no problems. If you have had problems with other realty companies in Brooklyn - bait and switch or other difficulties - and are frustrated with the realty system in Brooklyn overall, I can personally recommend Jonelle. She is also kind enough to have a referral program, so she says to mention my name.

We love our Doormen, especially Antoine and Tony there more like our own private concierge, much more than Doormen! These hard-working men make it a pleasure to live at the Fairview. 24 hour security is visible and constantly patrolling the building and the grounds. There is a courtyard with picnic tables and chairs to relax and enjoy the evening breeze. There is also a private play ground for residence and a small basketball court also. The huge laundry room makes it almost a pleasure to do laundry it is card operated and almost all the machines work very rarely have to wait for a machine. Parking can be a challenge so you may want to purchase an apartment that has a parking space on the lease already. There is both indoor and outdoor parking that is reasonably priced. The management office has always responded to my needs and addressed issues quickly and appropriately. Although I am not a pet owner, the building is pet friendly. Management seems to understand the importance of pet ownership and pet owners are respectful of their home and surrounding property. I have no issues with noise or pet waste. The subway is about a mile away. Plenty of buses within walking distance Including express buses to Midtown and downtown Manhattan.

After submitting my application with all required documentation that met all listed requirements and $1,800 fee, my application was rejected without any explanation. I believe that the management board of this property is either discriminating against minorities (my boyfriend is African-American, and they asked to attach the photo ID) or marital status (we are not married and have a daughter - the seller's broker specifically noted that this might be a concern to the board). The Board communicated with me twice and only through the selIer's broker (I was notified that the board or board representatives can't communicate with me as a buyer directly): 1. The board told me that they will not consider my annual bonus as part of DTI ratio (which was contradictory to the language in the application). After the seller's broker pointed it to them, they seemed to be eager to proceed; 2. I provided notarized documentation evidencing that the deposit to my account was a return of funds that was borrowed from me by my friend several years ago. The board asked the seller's broker how I was planning to "return the money". I provided documentation again noting that I was a lender, not a borrower. At the end they haven't notified me that my application was declined. After a month, my attorney called them and discovered that it was actually declined. I sincerely suggest avoiding this property and not wasting your time and money on unprofessional and biased group of people.
