The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a consumer's mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. This place was literally a God-sent considering the nightmarish experience we had at the other hotel in the vicinity. We had to book this hotel at the last minute since we could not stay at the poorly maintained hotel that we had previously booked. The check in was very convenient with Randy at the front desk and we got a nice room too. The property was quite big and we had a 2 minute drive from the front desk to the hotel room. The room was one of the best maintained and well kept ones. The property is well connected to both Everglades and Biscayne National Parks and some good restaurants, nearby. We picked the packaged breakfast that had granola bar, apple and a muffin on both the days and had an enjoyable 2 night stay at this place. If you are at Homestead/Florida city, this is the place to be!

DISGUSTING. Found this dirty/bloody tissue in our bed under the comforter. Sheets were dirty. Was given new sheets to put on our bed OURSELVES and NO new comforter. Next morning front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. We only got a 10% adjustment off our 100$ room rate. They said at our next stay we would get an upgrade. As if we would EVER go back!!! Stay away!!

Surprised to see the yelp reviews are not a bit higher for this place. I had an overnight stay here on way to Everglades and the Keys and the price paid for what you get for is quite phenomenal. I suppose its because I came around the time not still high season but for under $80 really surprised to see the hotel so well run. My room was great and everything seemed quite new. The pool I didn't get to use but it looks quite nice after the renovation. Breakfast was great and they kept my iPad quite secure when I left it out on the common areas by mistake :) Very friendly front staff and delicious breakfast. I guess the only minor complaint I have would be the wifi speed, but then again pretty much all of the hotels I stayed at have relatively slow internet speeds. Theirs stay connected quite well however. This is definitely a great place to spend your night if you're planning on traveling south to the Keys or going into southern entrance of Everglades. Its really is just a block away from the US-1 and Turnpike intersection. They definitely work hard to deserve all the praise. Highly recommended.

We also like how spacious the rooms are at Home2 Suites and that they include a kitchen. Free use of the laundry room and free breakfast were also convenient. The room was comfortable and spacious, but looked a little worn down. Everything was functional and fine for a two night stay. The reason I give this hotel a lower rating is because there was an unresolved issue with the room. On the day we arrived we were downgraded from the room type that we booked two months in advance without any notice or explanation. The staff at the front desk kindly apologized, but couldn't explain why it happened and said they weren't empowered to do anything about it. We were told that the manager was the only one who could do anything and she would contact us. She never did, not during our stay or after our stay. It felt unfair to not get what we reserved and then be charged the same price for the downgraded room type. Hilton customer service helped to compensate for the inconvenience when I called them a week after our stay after never hearing from the hotel manager. I've never had an issue at a Hilton hotel before that wasn't resolved right away or at least during my stay, so I know this isn't typical for a Hilton property. We will stay at a different hotel the next time we are in the area.

I need a job (close to home) to pay bills. Last week, on Tuesday, I applied to our local new Home2Suites/Tru (Florida City) by HILTON on Indeed, for their open night shift desk position. Then, on a Wednesday, I proactively visited in person and spoke to the night manager (who was working the desk due to employee shortage). I introduced myself, provided a full resume, and was told by the sales manager that they could by not see me, but would call me. A week later, still nothing. I called and spoke to the night manager I had previously met, and was told that the sales manager had decided against my application almost immediately. Obviously, I am very disappointed in HILTON. I am proven dependable, responsible, and am exceptionally qualified. So, could it be: ... my AGE?, ... veteran status ?, ... I live too close ?; or, ... HILTON'S $15. ph salary ? - YOU can decide (almost immediately)... if the HILTON brand deserves your patronage !

The price was right for a mid-February vacation, one night only here. When we first arrived, we walked all around the building to find the entrance. We couldn't find it, turned around and came back and a nice young man came out of the restaurant door and asked us if we were looking for the hotel. I bet that happens a lot as there is no sign on the door next to the restaurant stating it's the hotel. Once inside, a friendly woman guided us to our first floor room at the back of the building and asked us if it was to our satisfaction. It looked clean so we said yes. The room had standard hotel amenities, including a hair dryer, but also a dehumidifier. The room smelled a little musty, so that's why the dehumidifier is in there. I didn't notice the smell, and my boyfriend only noticed it after we'd been in the room for a while. He said if he'd noticed it right off the bat, we probably would have left. The young man and lady in charge were super nice and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. When we asked about parking, if we could go out to dinner elsewhere and come back and find a spot in the lot, they were a bit iffy. They said the lot can fill up at night so we might not get a spot, but we could park across the street, wait until people left and then move our car back into the lot. But then one of them said if all that fails, we could use a spot nearest the building that really isn't a spot at all, but we could wedge our car into that. Luckily when we came back from dinner, there were at least 3 or 4 spots open. I had used the bathroom before we left for dinner and when we came back we noticed that the toilet was running. There wasn't a Kleenex box in the bathroom. Not a huge deal, just use toilet paper instead. When it came time for sleeping, I had a feeling the blinds on the window weren't going to keep the sun out and I was right. Bring a sleeping mask if you like darkness. Also bring earplugs FOR SURE! The first floor room shares a wall with the kitchen and at the end of the evening when the kitchen workers are cleaning up, you can hear pots and pans banging around, the workers shouting to one another, loud talking, loud laughing, etc. All that noise stops around 11, 11:30 p.m. The air conditioner was loud so we turned it off. There was street noise as well. We chose this place based on location and price; it seemed like a good deal and an interesting stay in a quirky hotel, which sometimes can offset lower quality accommodations if you find the place fun or interesting. So while I recommend this place as not too bad (we've definitely stayed in much worse places) I would advise not staying for more than one night.

We found our room key in the lockbox and headed up the stairs where the rooms were. Upon entering, it smelled of cigarettes. The room is more spacious than I expected. There's a mini fridge, microwave, 2 TVs, coffee pot, ironing board, hangers and a couch. There's also an outdoor seating area, albeit shared with all of your neighbors. It's cleaner than I expected, but we still found a hair in the bed. The bathroom provides a hair dryer, shampoo and soap. However, the towels are very thin and tiny. My bath towel was sopping wet before I could fully dry my hair. There's a door between us and another room that we can hear their conversations very clearly. Also, the restaurant downstairs has live music until 11pm. The wifi doesn't work. Staying one night is OK, but I couldn't do it for longer than that.
