Edit on 12/19/18 - We still have not received our photos, and phone calls to check on them have either been unanswered or I've been told that I'll get a call once they're in. It is now very unlikely that I'll see these photos before Christmas. I have really mixed feelings about Fairytale Experiences. While the pictures are CUTE and my kids had a great time with Santa, their pricing is literally astronomical. Be warned that you will not even see any digital options unless you spend upwards of $300 on their portraits. Their packages, I kid you not, go all the way up to $5000. I love my children, but I would never even consider that type of money on seasonal photos. The experience was sweet, but they need to be WAY more upfront with their pricing and ordering options at the time of booking. All of the people are very friendly and they are not pushy, I just believe their pricing is unreasonable. read more

The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE The Santa experience was great but the fact that you can only buy prints by going back in for a viewing session is ridiculous. - What if I want to take my time looking at photos and deciding what to buy? - I am a single mom. I don't have time to drive 40 mins both ways to buy photos AND find someone to watch my son so he's not confused why Santa is no longer there. - My son's father lives out of state and wants to buy photos too but can't look at them or the prices or buy anything Why would a company make it SO hard to give them money?!?!? Why are they so unfeeling to people who want to take a little time to see the pictures and think or don't have the ability to come back in? I have written multiple times stating that I have money to spend and want to buy photos but just can't do it in person. They don't care AT ALL. Very disappointing to work with FairyTale Experiences: Very disappointing to work with; we had a lot of fun, but they were COMPLETELY unwilling to work with me when I couldn't come for the photo viewing ALL the way across town when my daughter got sick. I offered to still pay for the photos they chose, and I was told I'd already rescheduled four times (which was not the case, I'd only rescheduled one from this past Wednesday to tonight). In 2019, I shouldn't need to drive 30 miles across the metro area with a sick child just to choose some photos. I'm still willing to purchase them, but it was quite disappointing to be treated in such an unprofessional manner. I understand it's a small business, which is why I said I'd still pay above and beyond the $100 I've already spent on this event to support Make-a-Wish, which is supposed to include a credit I have due to them changing the services available AFTER I booked. (make-up and hair was supposed to be included). I'll still pay for some good photos, but I wouldn't work with them again. read more

Fairytale Experiences - Event Photography Near Me - Lakewood, Colorado

Was my experience with Fairytale Experiences perfect? It was not. But it was pretty darned close. I've shared with Ruby and the staff (as I will share with you all here) some areas in which the experience could have been improved. I believe they want truly happy customers who will become repeat customers, and the best way to achieve that is through an excellent product, excellent customer service, and taking feedback and critique into consideration to ensure a happy customer. One improvement I believe could be made is with respect to time. Many of these "Santa Experience" studios across the country do anywhere from half an hour up to a full hour with the private "one-on-one" time with Santa. 30 minutes seems slightly rushed. Maybe a tiered pricing for the sitting fee? The $99 for the half hour does not seem unreasonable at all. However, I would pay a little more for a little more time. After all... it's about the "experience", right? I'd pay $150 for 45 minutes or $200 for a full hour. As some others have mentioned, we also did not receive the "personalized letter" from Santa. It was a minor inconvenience. However, that could have been one little detail that could have made the experience just that much more enjoyable for my daughter. First off... let me just say Santa was top notch! Wherever they snagged this guy, they don't want to let him go because an authentic looking Santa can (and did) make all the difference in the world between spending big bucks on a nice portrait package or just getting the minimum. His expressions and mannerisms were perfect. His demeanor and interaction with our daughter was Santa-esque... kind and jolly. Yes there is some coaching here and there from Santa to help get the perfect pose, but I would say Santa and the staff did a great job balancing the two (keeping the experience a fun experience while also facilitating great interaction and portrait / photo ops). First up was Santa's Workshop where my daughter got to help make/paint a few toys as well as play with some of the toys (blocks) with Santa afterwards. Next up was Santa's Kitchen where my daughter was able to "mix up" a batch of cookies and have some milk and cookies with Santa. Finally, we made our way to Santa's den. This setting is where I would imagine most of the big sellers are shot. That Norman Rockwell-esque contrasty treatment to the portraits just really shines in this particular setting. Our 30-minute session ended at exactly 30-minutes on the dot. The next day I arrived for my one-hour photo review session, and it took nearly every minute of that hour for me to narrow down which portraits I wanted. Ruby was probably thinking "Come on already... get on with it!" though she never showed it. She was very patient with my indecision. It is at this point where some customers may be taken aback by prices if they didn't do their due diligence beforehand and ask for a price sheet. Most studios don't post prices online. Just ask... Ruby responded with a price sheet within 24 hours. I went into the review session with a budget in mind and a fairly good idea of what I wanted to get within that budget. Ruby was more than happy to help me customize a package that fit my needs and budget. Of course as with most things in life... the more you spend the more negotiating power you'll have. Don't expect price negotiation on the bare minimum two 8x10s. Now that everyone has a camera on their phone... they think portraits can be made for pennies since good ol' Aunt Betty can deliver Walgreens prints from her DSLR for under $20. But there is a difference between a snapshot and art. I consider what I got from Fairytale Experiences to be top-notch heirloom-quality art... which was something I was willing to invest in. This studio may not fit every budget. There are many studios I can't afford. However, I feel like an artist and studio should be fairly compensated and I found the prices at Fairytale Experiences to be quite reasonable. I apologize for the lengthy review. I just felt this studio as well as potential customers deserved to see some reviews from clients who enjoyed their experience as well. It wasn't a perfect experience, but it was close and a great experience overall. I'll be a repeat client. It may be a few more years down the line before my next session since this session was such an investment, but I'll definitely be back. All things considered... I would give my experience a 4.5 out of 5 stars. It won't let me rate with half stars, so instead of rounding down to 4 stars I'm going to round up to 5 because my experience overall was outstanding. It was far from a fairytale experience. It started off pleasant enough. A nice young lady named, Liz, did our make up but it was all down hill from there. The dresses had an overpowering smell of body odor. The photographer was nice but after a lot of waiting, we felt rushed through the whole photo session. I had trusted the photographer to capture us at our best. However, because of "the rush" she lost site of important details. You only see the picture after the photo shoot there is no opportunity to adjust anything or have retakes. Be prepared to spend thousands, not hundreds. Picture packages were outrageously price. Best package was 4k and I think the cheapest was a grand. My advice ... if you decide to try this, pick out your 2 favorite pictures. This will cost you a hundred dollars each. Then at home, take pictures of those two pictures and have them transferred to canvas and make you prints. read more

My daughter loved it! She couldn't believe she was seeing Santa and having one on one time with him during these difficult times, which made the experience even more wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and worked with us with a payment plan for the pictures we choose to get printed into a book. Would love to do again in the near future. read more

I took my boys to the FairyTale Experience Santa event. They had an amazing time! My younger son, age 6, had the most beautiful light in his eyes when he was with Santa - it epitomizes the magic of childhood. Michelle and her staff are lovely. I was able to reschedule my original appointment ( I lucked out that there was one cancellation) with ease and Michelle was kind and helpful. I was also pleased that I was able to view the photos and make ordering decisions at the time of our photoshoot. The Christmas scenes are gorgeous! Every part of the space photographs perfectly. What I recommend for clients to ensure the BEST experience is to let Michelle know before hand your child's exact clothing size, to confirm she has exactly what you are looking for. Also, check out the pricing before you book so you have a clear understanding. The prices are NOT cheap, but personally, I don't think I will ever regret paying for photographs or experiences - and this is both. I will be displaying my special book and my print every year as part of my Christmas decor! This is a memory we will forever cherish. read more

My 2 year old was very nervous, but the staff were so sweet and patient, and worked hard to get her to relax and have a good time. The pictures turned out so amazing! This photo studio is absolutely amazing. I don't even know where to begin!! The staff is so kind, friendly, and welcoming!!! They are true professionals and so very classy! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt right at home. The studio is so magical and Santa was the best! I've never met such a Santa Claus that embraced his role and character like the one my kids were honored to meet last night. The staff is so, so under standing and despite a few hiccups on our end, worked with us to the very end to ensure we had the whole experience. They went above and beyond for our family and I am so grateful for genuinely good people that truly care. The prices are very well worth the experience and pictures that all come with the visit. There is so much that goes in to this shoot and journey and they immerse their families in the entire process. They love family and you can tell that they love doing what they do. It's not all about the money for them. It's not just a job. The studio is mind blowing. I was in awe the entire time. It is jaw dropping how incredible this experience has been for all 5 of our children. They are patient, warm, and caring and my children took so much more than just a photo shoot with them. It was so much fun, between the trinkets, toys, cookie baking, sitting on Santas lap, talking to him one on one with out a rushed environment, I can honestly go on and on. As for the actual portraits, I cannot wait to receive them!! They are absolutely breathtaking seeing them physically! There was no pressure to purchase at all. It was relaxed and kind of, you purchase what you'd like. We felt no obligation what so ever and they are more than willing to make it feasible and affordable. The issue is trying to choose just a few shots out of so many staged areas and poses. They cover every thing you can imagine! I am so, so happy and satisfied with our experience. My 2 year old loved meeting Santa and the experience was awesome, a bit rushed though. Never received the letter from Santa. Then it came to buying pictures. My wife was the only one who went there..$600 for one canvas! Not framed or anything. I had the Living Social deal too! The studio is small, but the set they have is perfect! They are great with kids!! The dresses and accessories are truly perfect. The poses were precious and they worked really quickly and gently to get as many shots as they could. Then you wait for about 15 minutes and they have you sit down to look at the best among them. I probably had about 15 - 20 to choose from. They totally work with you on the packages, so don't have sticker shock - they will find something for you! It's hard to resist once you see the finished photos!! 2 weeks until I can pick up the photos. I am so excited to have these as keepsakes! I purchased a Living Social deal, and I read ALL the reviews everywhere before going in so I had an idea what to expect. First of all, the experience was FAR beyond my expectations. My daughter is 3.5, and she loves fairy princesses and playing dressup/pretend, so I figured that even if this wasn't great, she'd have a great time. I had nothing to worry about AT ALL! When we got there, we were ushered right in at our appointment time and given a choice of fairy outfits in my daughter's age/size range. She chose one, and the photographer (Damaris) helped her into a flower crown and put a little blush and very light pink lip gloss on her. (She LOVED that, ha!) Damaris was so patient and completely genuine. She made the experience unforgettable - asking my daughter what kind of fairy she was, if she had a fairy name, talked about the blush as pixie dust, etc. All with complete authenticity - it wasn't like she was going through a script (because I don't care how little the kid is, they see through fakey people), and my daughter warmed to her immediately and was so excited to talk about her fairy name and the fact that she was a flower fairy! We went straight back to the fairy land set, and Damaris checked the lights and got my daughter her wings (and made it a big deal to receive them - "Don't fly away!") She explained to me that the first pose they do was the promotional pose that we'd receive as an 8x10 from the Living Social, but that she'd be doing the whole set of poses in case we liked them and were interested in purchasing others. I felt ZERO pressure, but knew exactly what the deal was so there were no surprises. Damaris was unbelievably patient with my daughter (who will cooperate, but is in that stage where she wants to do everything "by my own" and her own way!). She kept the magic going throughout changes of pose and scene, and there were always magical reasons for my daughter to pose the way she was, and that helped her understand and feel special even when she was holding her arm up with nothing in it. There was also a moment where they got out a fairy book, and set a butterfly on it for a specific picture pose. My daughter had a hard time holding it to show - she wanted to look at it - so Damaris got a mossy blanket to prop it up on, and when instead of holding it and looking as intended, my daughter got really excited about the book (a pop up fairy book - totally exciting!) and turned pages, opened pop-ups, etc, Damaris didn't try to redirect her to the set pose, she saw my daughter light up with excitement and joy and started snapping pictures! It's the mark of someone who GETS taking pictures of kids. (And the picture of the book where my daughter is holding up the butterfly and has all the popup flowers popped up, etc, is my FAVORITE.) Plus, if you're used to the quicky in and out Target/Penney's/Mall studio photography where they literally take 15 pictures total and you'd better hope your kid had a good expression, Damaris took almost 200. That's more reasonable if you want to end up with 15 that look good, as any parent with a DSLR can tell you. We were able to come back the next day (today!) for our viewing and to choose our free 8x10 from the first pose (Damaris took lots of that one and there were 2 great ones to choose from) and order any we wanted. I loved them all, and ended up going with the CD of all 16 edited images with a print release. There was NO pressure, no hard sell, just the presentation on a HUGE screen, and an easy to read and understand package list. It was just an extension of the totally comfortable, thoughtful, and kind experience we had the day before getting the pics taken. The print prices are NOT Target photo studio prices, but they're right in line with other professional photographers. In fact, for editing in less than 24 hours plus the all-inclusive fairy experience on top of it, the prices are ridiculously reasonable. Worth EVERY PENNY. And I'm a cheapskate. My daughter had a fabulous time, and the pictures are just breathtaking. Oh! And if you go to the website, you can see that the owner can do almost anything with editing - from photoshopping the little fairies to look almost as if it were a painted portrait to adding in woodland creatures. Anyway, I prefer a natural look - I didn't want my daughter's face retouched or edited beyond what was necessary like if there were a good picture, but with a weird shadow, etc. She did an amazing job, and added in all the fairy magic while leaving in my kiddo's perfect little imperfections. We purchased a Groupon for a fairy photo session for my 4 year old daughter and we couldn't be more satisfied. You do have to make sure hair is done before you arrive but they let you know ahead of time so you should be prepared. Once we were at the studio, they had a selection of pretty fairy dresses for my daughter to choose from. Then they applied some very light makeup, just a little blush and lip gloss. Once the session started the photographer was amazing. She was cheerful and playful and made it very fun for my daughter. She took her time getting the perfect shot and was incredibly patient when my 4 year old started getting bored and antsy near the end. After the session was done we scheduled a viewing about a week later. The viewing took place on a large screen where I was able to look through the best images from the session. The pictures were beautiful. I loved them, even in their unedited state. We talked about how they would look once the fairy effects were done and she even offered to edit out a small scratch on the end of my daughter's nose. My Groupon came with a 8"x10" and there were other packages offered if you wanted more poses. I didn't feel any particular pressure to spend more but I did purchase a photo CD because I just couldn't pick one or two poses. Yes, you will pay more here than you will at a department store photo studio but I don't think it was out of line with what any other professional photographer will charge for the same time and effort. And the difference in quality between the pictures I got here and the ones I've gotten in the past from those cattle chute, in and out places was well worth it. I'm very happy with the pictures I got and can't wait to share them with family and friends. We had a great experience here I would definitely recommend them. read more

Malicious review huh??? Yeah right.....I have no reason whatsoever to lie to consumers about my experience while trying to redeem a Groupon I bought from your shoddy studio. And for your information, instead of getting a refund from Groupon they gave me a credit of which I had to use with another company. So if you have any questions about my so-called malicious review, Groupon will be able to show the credit they gave me which was a whole TWO MONTHS after I bought the Groupon. If I was lying, why would I wait so long to finally complain to Groupon? Why would I lie to my young daughter about these pictures that I got her EXTREMELY EXCITED about only to disappoint her when she found out that we couldn't go because you wouldn't return ANY of my calls? DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! We bought a Groupon in the spring (my mom bought it and has since been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer) and because of those circumstances and my baby spending lots of time at Children's Hospital for feeding issues, we didn't book the sessions. My mom called yesterday trying to explain the circumstances, asking for a possible extension. The man was SO callous and rude, basically said he didn't care whatsoever about our lives and "protocol was protocol." Then he said he couldn't talk to my mom because she didn't have her voucher number. Once my mom tried to explain that she couldn't print it from home and would need to do that with my help and call back, he said he didn't care, again said "protocol was protocol" and furthermore wouldn't take her calls again. I own a business and Groupon or not, I would always listen to people and their circumstances, especially when it comes to medical situations. Shame on them for being so rude. read more

I have been a mermaid since I was little girl... in my mind. Fairytale Experiences made it real! My 20 month old daughter and I had so much fun from beginning to end. The makeup artist pampered me and made me feel beautiful again (you know how that feeling can get away from you when your a mom) My little girl was in heaven, The sparkly tails and glitz and glam, she could barely contain her excitement. The photographer was amazing, she was not only able to capture my little girls smile but she was able to capture a life long dream come true! It truly was a Fairytale Experience! read more

I see from the other reviews that I am unfortunately not alone in my experience with this company. We purchased a "package" because that was the only way to get the digital images. I was told I would receive the digitals within 2 weeks. It's been well over 2 weeks - no digitals. The owner now claims the digitals were "bonus" items and so they are not responsible for providing them on time. I would not recommend this company. read more

Well, my experience was very mixed. I will say the products we received are the best photo/art work I've ever owned. They are beautiful and so glad we did it this ONE time. We invested $300 in this and will keep them forever. I found it odd there are no pricings to be found on their business page or social media pages for the packages. We booked and went going the sitting fee was $99 and then packages start at $100. However, when I have booked any other photographer a "package" usually means more than one photo ( i.e. more than one 8X10). You usually get a set of sizes. Also, I did not like the pressure put on us to spend at minimum of $200. So in the end, we spent $300 total. I got a weird feeling in my stomach about that and it was a huge red flag also a big turn off to the whole experience. The prices should be available to the customer. I tried emailing and contacting them before our scheduled session and never got a response. I then didn't find out about the package pricing until AFTER the photos were taken. It was frustrating. It also would be nice if there was an option for Christmas cards. The whole reason I wanted to do this was for our Christmas cards and there is NO option for a digital disc, I was told. The day we arrived for our pictures, we had parked in the back since I was unsure where to park. Well, as soon as we parked Santa came out to the back patio to sit down for a break with his phone, which is fine but I freaked out since I didn't want my kids to have their Santa experience ruined, so I quickly moved my car to the front. We went inside to just wait. It was a little uncomfortable for me and my kids since the music was blaring so loud. It was too much and very over stimulating. I would suggest they have it on low so when you come in you're not blasted with Christmas music and have to sit in the room with it so loud. It scared my children to be honest. The rest of the experience with pictures was pretty good. The kids loved Santa and were glowing. They did a great job making them feel comfortable but they would have liked more time with him and to talk to him more outside of them having to just take pictures. I'd say anyone thinking about doing this, know you will spend a sitting fee of $99 which does not include any pictures. Packages start at $100 and that is just one 8x10. You then have to spend a minimum of $200 on pictures. In total it's a minimum of $300 when said and done for only two 8x10. I used a Groupon and went just before Christmas for fairy pics. The photographer was great when my daughter was being a little uncooperative. The shots are good, and my family is raving about them. The studio is different now - they moved right after we had pics done, so I've only seen the lobby there. Michelle the owner was very sweet and helpful when showing the pictures and packages. I had 13 to choose from. There was absolutely no hard sell. The package I chose included a CD that you get the same day, so I was able to print my own in time for Christmas. I waited 3 weeks for pics - however one of the weeks was Christmas, so no surprise. The price: a little more than I'd like to spend, but they are special pictures that I wouldn't do very often, so I think it's worth it. read more

My daughters pictures turned out amazing. I picked a package where I was able to get all her poses because there was no way to choose just one. What they don't tell you in the group on however is that the picture that your paying for is the very first one taken. So if that one doesn't come out good well your stuck like chuck. You'll have to buy a package which stars at $80 for one 5x7 or one 8x10 and no cd. The highest package was $350. No payment plans and if you do t have the lonely on you they said they don't save the file they delete them right away. I got a huge discount so I could turn down my package- some January special I was told. Any who I got a bargain and ran with it. Seven weeks after I gave birth Rubi's & Diamond's studio did my Boudoir session. The staff is amazing they made me feel at ease despite my nerves. They created a comfortable environment and made me look like a bombshell! Overall, I had a great experience, they made me look beautiful, and the price for the portrait package was moderate and worth every penny. read more

We paid the $99 which was supposed to include: - One-on-one 30 minute "experience" with Santa. - A personalized letter in the mail to my children with their names, inviting them to see Santa. - Cookies and milk with Santa. - Includes "ALL" of their scenes and story lines for photos - A "surprise gift" from Santa. What we actually got: - One-on-one 30 minute session with an uninterested non-engaging Santa who just wanted his "shot". He didn't ask my son what he wanted for Christmas or sing any songs. No, he was strictly there for the photo session, telling my son where to look, how to sit, etc. That's all it was. It didn't feel anything like an "experience" with Santa, and sadly I could see the disappointment on my sons face. (My son was also very shy at first and Santa didn't put any effort in cheering him up or making him laugh, etc.) -The personalized letter never came. It's been two weeks and we still haven't received it. I never got to give it to my kids and the owner told me that "It's the post offices fault", and didn't want to offer any sort of compensation even though I paid for that. She also only sent it out a few days prior to our photo session during the busiest time of the year for USPS. -Cookies and milk with Santa consisted of Santa telling my son "hold still hold still" while he was about to take a bite of the one stale cookie he was given, you know, to get that perfect shot. -The sets themselves were okay, mediocre. The feel/vibes I got there were gross 1970's trailer. It smelt like stale cigarettes and aftershave. The cheap Dollar store stickers on the wood paneling added to the atmosphere as well. Also, the door handle fell off (both times I went) when entering, and when I let them know about it they told me they knew and it was "hard to fix". -As for a gift, we literally got a broken tiny treasure chest (maybe 2" by 2", that looked like a two year old put glitter glue on the inside of it) They are upfront with the fact that photo prices are not included, and that photos "start at $99"... okay.... they legit mean one photo, the smallest they have, printed, will cost you a minimum of $99. The next size up jumps to $175. They no longer offer and digital media files, as I've been told they did in the past. Their "packages" are upwards to $2,000 for the cheaper one and $5,000 for the more expensive one. When confronted that the prices were overpriced the owner told me "Some people are willing to pay for fine art, some are not" BEWARE to all!!!!! read more

January 2014, my sister bought my daughter a fairy photo shoot with Rubi's and Diamonds Studio. My daughter who is 3 had an amazing time. We went down with her cousin who is 2 and a friend who was 4. All three girls had an amazing experience. We chose to get the high resolution disc with all the images because we struggled to narrow it down. The photo shoot, editing and picture selection does take a little while. They work on editing them right after you are done. I would recommend if you are taking little ones, to pack a few snack and drinks. We did, and it made waiting for the editing no big deal. As we moms know, planning ahead makes all the difference. read more

What a great idea! Took my 5 1/2 year old step daughter here with a groupon deal I found. She got to pick out of a few dresses in here size, get a little makeup put on and a fairy crown. The poses were just too adorable, and the photographer is amazing with children. She had all the tricks up we sleeve to get her to bring out her most natural smile and cute little smirks. I had my daughter scheduled for her photos here a month or so ago. We showed up and waited for 15min for them to open they were late. She got to choose from two dresses that were her size. The woman who did the photos and light makeup was very friendly with my kids. She knew how to get my daughter to smile she was very good. Overall it lasted maybe 40minutes from start to finish. The photo viewing is scheduled on a different day so you don't get to look at them same day. The photo viewing went well we had a Groupon deal so we got our one $25 picture and paid for one extra which was $80. I have to to say the packages are pretty pricey so be prepared to pay the same day. The highest I believe is $350. The pictures came out very nice and I was pleased. This place is hard to find there isn't any signs for it but it's located inside an old Bank. read more

This company has false advertisement and poor customer service written all over it. I used this groupon thinking that I would receive a high quality picture and received something that I could have taken myself. My picture did not include fairy wings or any type of sparkles that are shown in this advertisement. The owner Rubi advised me that it was MY fault for not asking for these things. I was also treated completely different after I told the photographer/owner I would only be using the groupon and would not be purchasing extra prints (these prints started at $80, if you will be treated different why have groupon?). When I asked for a refund or for the pictures to be done the way they were advertised, I was informed that I would need to use more gas money to bring the picture back in order to get a refund. Please keep in mind that the first time we went to pick up the picture up, the company was CLOSED during advertised business hours and never seems to be able to answer the phone. She actually STILL has not returned my phone calls but will only reply to me on Facebook. Rubi, the owner indicated that she has much more important things to do than argue over a 25$ groupon and asked me to contact her assistant. She is in the hospital after giving birth but you would think she would have responded in the manner in which a business should respond when they charge this much for their services. Or at least have the assistant respond to me in the first place. I would highly suggest against purchasing this groupon or doing any business with this very unprofessional company. Please do your research and read the other reviews, especially the way she responds to her customers. I purchased a living social voucher and did not realize that my daughter getting sick and missing the first appointment was going to be such a hassle. I was unable to use the living social voucher, but not sure after all the hassle because of unforseen circumstances I would go to the studio. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I purchased a livingsocial deal with Rubi's and Diamonds Studio as a birthday present for my 7 year old daughter. The deal was for an enchanted fairy session with a free 8x10 picture. The livingsocial deal was $25. On the day of my daughter's appointment she woke up with no voice, large dark circles around her eyes, a terrible barking cough and a 104 degree fever. My husband contacted the Studio at 8:30am, however they do not open until 11. We called back shortly after 11 and requested to reschedule for two pretty obvious reasons...firstly, whatever my poor child managed to catch was CLEARLY making her feel like a big giant elephant turd and secondly, I didn't think it was necessary to expose the rest of humanity to whatever is was that made her feel that way. We were informed that if we chose to reschedule her appointment we would need to pay for the 8x10 picture which would cost us $80. That means that a single 8x10 picture of my daughter would cost us $105. Although I hate to admit it, I begged and pleaded with them to please allow us to reschedule (it's not like we forgot, or found something more interesting to do, or double booked...my poor child was SICK, very sick), and frankly the reason I purchased the livingsocial deal is because this is the kind of amazing experience I simply can't afford to treat my daughter to without the deal. The woman I spoke with said that she would call her boss and ask. Great! I thought surely they would understand. The woman called me back and recommended that I bring my daughter in anyways. WITH A 104 DEGREE FEVER. That was the only solution they offered us to not lose the promotional value of the livingsocial deal. So...schedule your appointments with caution...and place your child in a germ free bubble for the 14 days prior to your appointment, because these people simply do not care. read more

I bought a Groupon for a photo session. I was so excited for my daughter to experience this "fairy wonderland". Haha!! First of all Michelle the photographer was late, we then sat and waited while she caught up on her messages and returned a call. Then she was ready. With our Groupon we got 1 shot...it literally may have taken 5 min. Then she offers packages which are very pricey. She then went into her office threw a few sparkles on our image and there you have it. It's been 3 months and I have yet to receive the image. read more

got a Living Social deal for this place and took my little fairy it was wonderful. she is 5 years old in on the autism spectrum they were so patient with her even when she had to do a costume change because one of the dresses was bothering her. they give you beautiful gowns to choose from and even do a little bit of makeup. the pictures were amazing and so professional I couldn't believe it. packages range from $80 to $350. we got the midrange one and they threw in the bonus of a free CD disc which is normally a 350 dollar value. I recently experienced a once in a lifetime photo experience. My daughter is four, which can be a very tricky age to get quality photographs. It had been a while since we took photos, almost a full year, so I was really excited to get some cute ones. I WAS BLOWN AWAY! Turns out, these aren't just photographs, but works of art. We were told to put shorts on her and do her hair, and the rest would be taken care of at the studio. When we arrived at the studio we immediately entered an enchanted fairy garden. My daughter was mesmerized. She thought she had entered another world! There was a plush-like rug, adorable little chairs, and even a Tinkerbell movie playing as we waited.The walls were painted with scenes of water lilies, a magical forest, rivers, and a fantastic tree was built into the studio filled with flowers and vines and butterflies. There was a beautiful room in which my daughter was able to choose a dress out of a wardrobe of fairy gowns. She chose the green "Tinkerbell" dress, as she called it. She dressed in privacy behind the dressing wall, and then sat at the lovely vanity. The photographer applied some soft blush, a bit of lip gloss, sparkly eye shadow, and "fairy sparkle dust" on her arms. The photography, Damarys, was able to build rapport with my daughter and put her at ease. It was brilliant to see my daughter's face light up and just relax. Her giggles and smiles made my heart happy. Between scenes my daughter kept asking, "Mom, can we do a different scene please?" She did not want it to end! (Which is not her normal self when it comes to taking photos, believe me). I cannot wait to frame my photo and put it in my bedroom as a reminder of my special day with my daughter. These pictures will always remind me of her youthful spirit and sweet childhood innocence. I really think these photos are adorable and love the extra sparkle added! read more

We originally signed up for this photoshoot because it was for a charity calendar contest. It was $50 for the session and that included the one little picture for the contest and the option to buy more. She doesn't have her pricing listed online, so we had no idea how unreasonable it was going to be. After the photoshoot, she showed us the pictures, and we told her that we were most interested in digital copies because we are military and all our family lives far away. Then she tells us that she doesn't sell digital copies, but if we buy a print we get the digital as a bonus. She gave us her price list and the absolute cheapest print was $99 per picture! We told her we would think about it, but she says she deletes all the photos that are unpurchased, so it's now or never. So we felt like we had to buy something because we already did the photoshoot, so we got three of those smallest ones. We had this whole discussion in front of her saying we will buy those just so we can get the digitals. She rings us up for those, knowing full well that what we want are the digital copies. Then, first of all we get our photo for the contest and it turns out that you have to pay for each vote! That wasn't anywhere in the advertisement for it. But we're like, whatever, so he probably can't be in the calendar we just want our pictures. We finally get the prints, which honestly are nothing spectacular, all she did was add a few flares which is something anyone can do on their phone. I've seen nicer ones on her page, but maybe she only puts that kind of effort in if you buy one of her packages for thousands of dollars. But worse than that, there's nothing about how to access the digitals. My husband contacted the photographer. She comes back saying that the prints we bought don't include digitals. Her price list has "gift prints" and "wall prints" and only the wall prints include digitals. The cheapest one is $595! He told her that we discussed digitals with her and that what she's doing is not right. Then she tells us she "gets threatened by parents all the time" because they want discounts or free stuff and if we want our digital copies we would have to buy the wall prints, which would be $1,800 for three pictures plus the $300 we've already spent on prints we didn't even want. Plus, she clearly lied when she said she would delete the photos because now she's trying to use them to extort more money. I know that photography is valuable, but this is ridiculous. If she were really confident in her pricing, she would be up front about it, not try to trick people into spending more than her services are worth. read more
