Out of all the tea spots I've been to this is by far my favorite one yet. First off, we called hours before our reservation to see if we could potentially come in a little bit sooner and they were so accommodating and able to fit us in. The inside vibe is so welcoming, chairs are incredibly comfy, the overall aesthetic is fun & super cute. One thing that stood out to me the most is that there are different types of tea menus- Afternoon Tea is the more traditional sampler style where you get a little bit of everything, you are even able to pick your 3 sandwiches that you want to try. This also comes with scones, mini pastries & your choice of tea. The Luncheonette I believe is a full size sandwich with soup/salad. There's also a mini version of the Afternoon Tea. We had a group of 4 and chose the Afternoon Tea. Everything tasted so delicious and always makes me want to go home and recreate it all. The cucumber sandwich was so thinly sliced and had such a yummy spread paired with it. I also picked the egg salad & smoked gouda with apple. They had the most creative sandwiches by far. The score were also really good, one had some sort of (strawberry?) glaze on it and paired with some magical cream that tasted like whipped cream & jam. The mini pastries were so delicious and the chocolate tarte with raspberry was the start of the show. They also had mini macaroons & little cookies.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the fact that most everyone was appropriately dressed for a tea time experience. The big highlights for me were desserts and scone. The scones were warm and not at all dry. My only critique was that the chicken salad sandwich had far too much bread, could barely taste any of the filling. Desserts for the day were a Salted caramel bon bon, Strawberry frosted Donut macaron, and Lemon cheesecake petit four. Everything tasted excellent (except the lacking chicken salad sandwich) and was well prepared. I thought the experience was well worth the money, definitely recommend. It would be nice if they offered a selection of teas to buy and take home.

We came to celebrate my birthday, so they lit a candle for us which was cute and appreciated! The menu is posted online in advance, so you know what you're getting. I enjoy eating many different things in small bite-sized portions and I thought all of the food tasted good. The portion is a full meal, albeit it's mostly carbs and sugar. That would be my one critique--it's a bit too sweet and there weren't enough savories. Price-wise, it was $50 per person. I really like that the price is inclusive of taxes, service, and tips. The photos show food at $100 for two people. It was filling, but a very sugary filling. The decor is cute, but some details could have been better. For example, the tea cake tower is black and modern-looking and honestly, not cute or matching. Some light piano music softly playing in the background would have been nice. The customer service is fine. We did street parking and while we came at a rather odd time, we still got a bit of traffic due to construction. Overall, I really enjoyed tea time at Sweet Marie's and would consider coming here again for a special occasion!

The presentation of everything was next level and truly perfect. The details on the dishes and cups and also the way the items were plated were the prettiest I have ever seen at any place. The attention to detail is very easy to see. The staff here goes above and beyond to make the experience of each customer super special. It was truly magical. We were in awe of everything that came out--- the teapot, the baskets, the little touches on plates and drinks. It was all super unique and just special. You can tell every member of the Tong D staff has pride in Thai restaurant. I have not been here before, but I will certainly be back. I loved the food, the drink, the ambiance, the people---everything! I cannot suggest this spot enough.

And the best part? The food was DELICIOUS! For $65 per person, you get a prix-fixe afternoon tea experience with an entrée and a beautiful dessert spread. Everything was incredible! My main entrée was the roasted chicken, but my favorites were the croissant with chicken salad, the crème and fruit dessert, brownies, and the hummus. Honestly, I loved everything! The atmosphere and aesthetics were absolutely beautiful too. And a special shout-out to the kind gentleman who charged my phone because it was completely dead! Thank you, kind sir! I wish I had gotten your name because you were the best! Definitely a memorable Newport experience and somewhere I'd love to visit again!

Unfortunately, the $65 prix-fixe dining experience was a major disappointment. To dine at the Tea House, you're required to purchase admission to Marble House (around $25), which made the experience feel unnecessarily expensive. Adding to that frustration, a credit card processing fee was added to the bill without any clear disclosure until it was time to pay. There was also an upcharge for one of the entrées that was not clearly disclosed on the menu, making the pricing feel less transparent than it should have been. The service was excellent, and I have no complaints about the staff. The problem was the food. The sandwiches, scones, and deviled eggs all tasted as though they had been prepared well in advance and lacked flavor. The hummus served with the endive was especially disappointing; it was watery and unappetizing. A different accompaniment would be a significant improvement. As for the entrées, the salmon was decent, but the short rib was surprisingly bland and underseasoned. Given the total cost of the experience, I expected food that matched the beauty and prestige of the venue. To make matters worse, there were numerous flies and bees hovering around our table and food throughout the meal, which further detracted from the experience. While the location, atmosphere, and service were wonderful, the quality of the meal and the lack of pricing transparency simply did not justify the price.

It has a ton of Japanese treats in the fridge as well as shelves. They also have a bar and sell wine and fun cocktails. They brew Bolt coffee (a local brewer and coffee shop) and make a truly exceptional cappuccino. Like, really really good third wave style espresso drinks that I've not found at other shops in Providence so far (two week visit). I was initially worried their iced strawberry matcha latte might be too sweet, but that was fortunately not at all the case! It was balanced and mild. Just be sure to stir it up! They also have some pastries and baked goods from Seven Stars Bakery, and we thoroughly enjoyed a small lemon cake. We'll likely be back in our last few days in town because we became quick fans!

I like the branding, brightness of the cafe, and the fact that there's a decent amount of seating. I got the Iced French Vanilla Espresso Latte + Espresso Teddy which was well-made, bold, and enjoyable. I think the Espresso Teddy is actually made with cold brew and not espresso which I expected given the name and would have preferred. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the slow melt and the boost of caffeine I got as I kept sipping. And it's super cute! The Iced Mont Blanc was also a good try; the sweet orange flavor was subtle and surprisingly enjoyable adding a bright taste to each sip. If I'm ever back in Providence, I would totally come back and maybe try their matcha drinks.
