Great sandwiches and the best caramel latte I've ever had. Service was good, we'll define back

The food and coffee are actually really good! at this place, but the service is the absolute worst. Yesterday I went in for my coffee that I've been drinking for the past 35 years: two shots of espresso with a splash of oat milk over ice. A staff member came out from the back and began yelling at me at the counter. I am a faculty member at Roger Williams and I was there with a student and line was to the door behind me. "that's a latte! you're just being cheap! I know its a Tik Tok Hack!" I'm 56. I've never been on Tik Tok. I wasn't trying to "hack" anything. I just wanted a splash of oatmilk in my $4 2 oz coffee. I told her I didn't know what she was going on about ridiculing in front of everyone in the restaurant. Then, she rolled her eyes and told me "I'll give you a thimble-full. That's it.!" My coffee came out completely black. She didn't even put enough in to change the color. seriously, what is wrong with people? if I was not there with the Student, I would have walked out. read more

I loooove this spot. It has great coffee, amazing pastries (and plenty of vegan and gluten free options), as well as really yummy food for brunch! We stopped in after a morning bike ride on a weekend and there is always a line out the door. We took our items to go and sat at the park down the street! The vibes are always good and there is upstairs seating that is really nice if you can snag a seat! read more

Delightful little cafe with cookies, pastries, sandwiches, and the like. Visiting from out of town, it was recommended by a local. Food was just fine and staff were friendly but, to be frank, I felt a bit like the next customer on the conveyor belt to order, sit, eat, and clear so they could turn turnover the table. No one was rude but that's what I walked away with. I might go back with different expectations. A better to place to grab lunch than to "lunch". read more

Sherri and her staff are exceptionally good at accommodating customers at the Beehive Cafe' Bristol. The food (and drinks) here are fantastic every time. For food, I would have to recommend the Crispy Chicken Sandwich on Focaccia. I really like the Iced Honey Pot for a drink, and My wife loves the Watermelon Mint Refresher in the Summer. read more

Came here for a late breakfast and tried to follow the order and then sit system. You need an animal to sit upstairs. There is outside seating as well. Drinks were great I did an elixir which was great detox and I had a delicious lemon ricotta pancake and breakfast burrito. Great place! read more

I had a friend just move to Bristol and told her she MUST go to the Beehive. If she doesn't - I'm driving down and we are going because this place is a DO NOT MISS! I stopped in for a hot tea and pastry this afternoon for the first time with a friend. Everything was great from start to finish; what a cute place! They had a nice selection of treats, and I especially enjoyed the ginger scone. The London Fog latte was perfectly made and came out piping hot. What a perfect place to get together with friends or stop in for a pastry to bring home. Five stars for sure! read more

One of my favorite food places in the whole wide world. I always get a grilled cheese with avocado and a side of BOTH greens and chickpeas. I could never pick between the two of them they are both way too good. They have so many breakfast/lunch options, pastries, iced coffees, teas, smoothies seriously everything and anything you can think of. Every single thing I have gotten from here has tasted amazing and I truly have never been disappointed. When you order your food you get a cute little animal figurine to bring with you to your table and then they magically come find you and bring you your yummy food. The only downfall of this place is the seating arrangement- the upstairs has a lot of small tables closely seated next to each other and very limited seating on their outdoor rooftop- there are a few tables outside though which I find the seating to be more comfortable there. read more

We walked in, ordered, and were already questioning why a BLT costs $15. My boyfriend ordered the BLT, and I ordered a grilled cheese with tomato soup (which I had checked on the online menu beforehand). We ate upstairs, even though it took about 20 minutes just to find a seat because the restaurant was completely unorganized--people were literally fighting over tables. When our food finally came out, I was given only half of a grilled cheese sandwich. We assumed it was a mistake and asked an employee, who told us, "Yeah, you only get one half and a full soup." There was absolutely no disclosure anywhere that you only get half a sandwich, and the photo on the online menu clearly shows a full grilled cheese. I've also been here before and received a full grilled cheese sandwich with soup, so this was especially confusing and frustrating. Paying almost $40 for this experience was really disappointing. Safe to say we won't be coming back. I honestly wish we could get our money back. read more

Place is an absolute joke. Went here today (Mother's Day) and the day was completely ruined by a worker. I had to leave I was so annoyed. The sign says to wait to seat yourself till you order...so I waited till we were ordering to sit down as I have an injury and can't stand for long. A worker came up to the seating area and called me out in-front of the whole restaurant that I can't be up there if I don't have a place marker... I'm sorry didn't know you where running a army base. I got up and left. I will absolutely not be returning place is ran by a bunch of hens. read more

Every time I come it tops the last! Very friendly staff and food/ coffee is amazing! I recommend the cocomac latte and the breakfast burrito! The side of hash browns are great and they just recently added a Caesar salad that is great as well. read more

(9/1/25) it was very busy due to Labor Day, but the line moved pretty fast and we got our food relatively fast. The staff was friendly. It's a small cafe so we got our food to go and sat by the water. I got hashbrowns and the French toast. They had forgotten to give me my cookie so I had to go back for it. The hash browns were a very small portion, and tasted very bland. The French toast was okay, probably won't be going again. read more

We stopped by for lunch and because I saw a write up about the biscotti latte. Our tuna melt sandwich (opted to have it without banana pepper) was delicious but a little smaller than expected. My latte was pretty good but didn't include chocolate syrup like the picture I had seen. I had a raspberry square too which was devine! We sat outside on the sidewalk and had nice views. The Beehive Cafe was exactly what we needed on the last leg of a long drive back from Cape Cod to New York City. We wanted to visit a small town and have a meal on the way home, and this spot in Bristol fit the bill (it was also one of a few places in town with brunch-type food open at 3:15pm on a Sunday -- most places close earlier). It's got brunch and lunch, lots of coffee options, and a delightful array of baked goods. And, for you GF, DF, and vegan folks (I am both GF and DF), there are tons of options for you. We came here on a Sunday afternoon as a party of five. Beehive Cafe is a very cute spot -- small but mighty. Downstairs is more of a to-go cafe deal, while upstairs there is a small amount of seating for folks dining in. There is also one large table on the first floor, which we ended up sitting at due to the configuration of the table. It was a little late for coffee at the time so I can't speak to that, but everyone enjoyed their food. I got a build-your-own omelette with just about every veggie filling you could think of (props to them for having so many veggies options to begin with!) with gluten free toast. A few other members of our party ordered the cornbread with honey butter and raved about it. To go, I asked one of the folks working there what his favorite gluten-free pastry was. He recommended the chocolate coconut macaroon, which was delicious (I had in the evening for dessert and it hit the spot). I only tried the bakery items but I'd definitely return to try other cafe items! I tried one of their iced specialty drinks, which was the Iced Biscotti. Mocha, hazelnut, espresso, whipped cream, and bits of biscotti. Really good. I also had one of their lemon squares and it's also delicious! Have unfortunately stopped coming to Beehive after what was a good long run... let me explain. We routinely grabbed an egg sandwich and coffee drink to take nearby for a quick breakfast or brunch on the water. Sprinkle in a fair amount of great quick stops for lunch too. BUT, in an unfortunate turn of events we have gotten burned multiple times by either wrong orders, half missing orders, or terrible quality food. Biggest complaint is that the food is often COVERED in butter or some other form of grease. The coffees are rarely consistent or correct, and almost always bitter, which a good espresso should never be. On top of it the prices are high for what you are getting - can easily drop $40+ on breakfast for 2 people here. We honestly stuck with Beehive far too long getting mediocre caliber food and drinks (giving them chance after chance), and after realizing we were consistently getting subpar quality we decided to seek alternate options... Last point is the service is mostly helpful and friendly. Sometimes it seems they may have had students employed who may have had a lack of detail or care (hence leading to many wrong orders). Example: "do you want cheese on that?" "No, no cheese!" -- comes loaded with cheese anyway --. Generally speaking you usually get decent or at least FRIENDLY service. Beehive management could do much better at cutting out the bad apples however. Consistency is key in any restaurant but unfortunately our experience has been consistently lackluster these days. read more

Found this adorable cafe on Google maps when we made a day trip to Bristol. It was just delightful. The menu was creative and seasonal, although we only stopped for lattes. One glance in the pastry case changed our mind, and we ordered 2 Nutella swirl cookies as well. They pastry was well executed and fresh, the lattes were smooth and tasty. Would definitely stop back here if we ever found ourselves in this area, I'd love to try the ricotta pancakes or cornbread hash. read more

Went here with my daughter and family. It is a cute place in Downtown Bristol. They have a small dining room on the second level and outdoor seating when it is warm enough. All the food was really yummy. Our party had a burrito bowl, French toast, avocado toast, a breakfast plate with eggs, toast and hash browns and the tofu bowl. The small upstairs was packed so we got it to go. We all enjoyed it. Why four stars and not five? While the prices aren't crazy, the sizes for some of the portions weren't that big. (So, the price to dish size ratio is off IMO.) My wife and I both were hungry after our tofu bowls (about 3 oz of tofu, crispy chick peas, cherry tomatoes and red pepper). I ordered a size of hash browns, which were very good. The portion, however, was very small (about 2 ounces) for $4. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures. read more
