Tong D has been a family favorite for a while, and now they have a full dessert menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is also very decorated for Spring right now.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Wow. I tried Tong-D for the first time since moving to Barrington last year and I wish I wouldn't have waited so long! I met a friend for lunch and ordered from their lunch menu and it was perfection. The presentation of the starters, which you get to select from was amazing and the coconut soup was some of the best I've ever had. The lunch menu is quite large with diverse options and was so filling I didn't even eat dinner. The Pad Thai was my favorite I've ordered since I've moved to the East Coast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience of the restaurant is so pleasant and the server was incredibly sweet to allow my friend and I plenty of time to enjoy a long meal with no rush.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I couldn't recommend it any higher and can't wait to go back!

Did dinner outdoors with the family and dogs at Tong D Thai, Barrington, RI For dietary restrictions they've got gluten-free and vegan menus too and ginormous inexpensive mocktails which the kid loved. I had the mango shrimp and chicken curry spicy with coconut rice and a lychee mojito. Super friendly attentive staff, large portions and everyone loved their food. Plenty of take home. Private parking lot.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute restaurant with plenty of parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was slow. The food was fresh and tasty, however the chicken was overcooked and rubbery, making the lo-mein a disappointment. My parents, who are in their 80s, found the menu challenging to figure out how to order. I will return as it was the best tofu I have ever had, my parents are a hard pass.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]An awesome blend of upscale atmosphere, great Thai food (some of the best papaya salad ever!) rolls, etc, and an awesome European dessert menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place is a gem.

We had a wonderful experience! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is beautiful and was decorated for the holiday which was cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the lunch special and it was lots of food, and it was all great! We shared a pot of rose white tea and it was perfect, also a great deal! The staff is super friendly and attentive. Thank you!!

However, their online menu looked like they served things we would like to eat. We finally ordered it to be delivered. I got the chicken Panang curry and my husband got the chicken teriyaki. They were both delicious! The vegetables were cooked perfectly. The chicken was lean, nice pieces of white meat. The sauces were flavorful and not overly spicy (although you clearly have the option of getting it very very spicy if you'd like). There are several other things on their menu that I would like to try and we will definitely be ordering again. I did see some comments on the serving sizes. While they are smaller than some other places, they are still more than a normal person can eat in one sitting. It's like a meal-prep box plus a cup of rice. I'm quite full and have enough left over for lunch tomorrow.

What a score that ended up being! queer o meter - uh. we were the only ones in there but Id say a solid 10, the staff was great. apps: vegetarian spring rolls, edamame and spicy wings. the rolls and edamame were as expected, and inline with most Thai restaurants. BUT LETS TALK ABOUT THE WINGS! packed full of heat, flavor and crispy. I almost got an order to take home. If i wasn't so full I would have. they were delightful - stuff I dream about. ha ha I got the tamarind duck. My fellow diners got yellow curry with chicken, fried pineapple rice, and red curry with crispy chicken and veggie pad Thai. I tried them all and they were all tasty. My duck was perfect. Not greasy, not over cooked, not soggy. I very rarely risk getting the duck outside of Golden Dragon at FW, but here is me being all crazy and out of the box! I'm glad I did. It was very very good. The veggies with it were so fresh and not over steamed (I like them with some crunch!! not soggy fyi) Side note: This is a BYOB place and lucky for us a very nice wine store in literally, NEXT DOOR. 10 feet away. I picked up a bottle of white wine to have with dinner. I will be back most definitely. CHEERS!

This…read morefamily-run restaurant has only been open about a year, but it already feels like an established part of the local dining scene. A nice space. We began with spring rolls (VERY good - chicken and shrimp) and sake, and the sake program deserves special mention. We selected a very enjoyable $38 bottle and noticed several other bottles at lower price points, along with a wide selection of canned sake--many around $11. Some diners may balk at paying that much for a can, but they will happily pay more for a mediocre glass of wine at half the volume. The value here is actually quite good, especially for those looking to explore sake beyond the ordinary. Our entrées--the ramen and chicken katsu--were excellent. The ramen featured a rich, deeply satisfying broth, while the chicken katsu was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender within. If you want a "hotter " ramen - the have an add on for a buck. Service was warm and attentive, reflecting the pride that often comes with a family-owned business. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, allowing the quality of the food to take center stage. Bristol is fortunate to have Sakuratani. Strong Japanese dining options can be hard to find outside larger cities, and for a restaurant only a year old, they seem to be doing many things right. We look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu--and their sake offerings. Highly recommended.

Very silky, some crunch, and the dashi sauce was well balanced. We then ordered tonkotsu ramen as our entree, and let me tell you I was not disappointed. After trying numerous ramens, specifically tonkotsu, this rated 2nd under my first favorite place. The creamy, rich broth was balanced, the noodles were bouncy (maybe homemade?), and the toppings were all good! Personally I am not a fan of thick pieces of pork chashu, so just keep that in mind when ordering that meat topping. Otherwise, excellent! Service: it was pretty slow so we got in immediately. Our waiter was very nice and took care of our table promptly. Atmosphere: it's definitely darker in this place, but the atmosphere was cozy and the booths were nice! Overall for me this was a 4.7/5, I would definitely recommend going here and experiencing decent tonkotsu ramen!

Been here quite a few times now and it has been consistently good each time. Very easy to order off…read moretheir website - the only thing is I don't get an email or text confirmation with an ETA but usually give myself 30 mins before picking up. I usually get a notification once the order is ready for pickup but I like to get there beforehand. We've enjoyed most of the food each time we've visited. I typically always get the Spicy Soy Garlic Wings - crispy yet still juicy and they're not super spicy so makes for a good bite. We enjoy the sushi rolls and poke bowls as well but what we don't care for as much are the fried rice options we've gotten before - they're a bit bland so we stick to apps and sushi options. Nice bright interior if you choose eat in but this seems to be mainly takeout. They have a few tables as well as high top chairs. The service is ALWAYS super friendly and you're always welcomed with a smile. It's a nice dinner takeout spot in the area.

The menu & reviews looked promising. I'm glad we had reservations, as they were packed on a Saturday night. I was pleased that we were seated within 5 minutes. I was also pleased that their huge booth fit 4 of us comfortably & they were happy to add a chair at the end for our 5th guest. A basket of warm rolls was immediately placed on our table. The large menu had something for everyone in every price range. We started with drinks, all of which were good. My companion & I shared a bottle of Clean Slate Riesling ($33) which we enjoyed. She & I both ordered the baked sea scallop special, which came with 2 dinner sides for $24.99. The scallops were delicious but I would have been happier if my baked potato & steamed broccoli had been cooked just a few minutes longer. They were edible, just not quite as soft as I prefer. Our friends enjoyed their meals... citrus swordfish (also one of the specials), French onion soup & salad, and a chicken salad sandwich. My companion & I shared a piece of lemon meringue pie for dessert, which was good. It wasn't as big a serving as at some restaurants, but it was enough. I have no idea of the cost as prices are not listed on the dessert menu, a practice I dislike. I also didn't like the fact that I asked for a fork as I don't like eating cake or pie with a spoon & was told I couldn't have one as they were all needed. Our friends enjoyed their peanut butter pie & coconut cake. Our server was adequate. We had to chase her down to ask for water, lemon, etc. I understand she was very busy but a smile would have been nice. I do appreciate the fact that we were not rushed out, and we were allowed plenty of time to catch up with our friends. Also, the hostess was gracious enough to take a photo of our group as we were leaving the restaurant. This restaurant used to be the Country Inn on Market Street in Warren. They have a decent sized parking lot, although it seemed barely sufficient for the amount of volume they do. I would rate this restaurant a 3.5 if I had that option. Will I return? Probably not.
