I had a small clog issue, but was just done dealing with one of their competitors on one of our properties. I have reviewed that plumber separately. I am not the average homeowner. I have rental properties across the state, but am a small operator. I only say that to help anyone reading this review to take it serious. As stated, Stacie answered promptly and spent a lot of time establishing a communicative relationship that assured me of their capabilities. It was a busy season for them, but she got us in the next day. She went through a general price list and partnered with me to know what to expect. I had been told that Tyree was expensive, but was the best. With that I was still expecting a big bill after their visit. The next day Luke and Brian arrived. They quickly cleared a clog that another plumber had tried to use to exorbitantly upsell me on a tear out job. They only charged the minimum and gave me pointers on keeping that section clear. I will say that this was a small job. I cannot rate them on a big project. Still, I know for a fact that even some of the large new work plumbers use Tyree for some complicated issues. For me, they did exactly what they said they would, and did it with the customer in mind. I will sing Tyree's praises and will not hesitate to call them again. OH!!! and they were NOT expensive at all. Cheap work on the other hand, especially where they try to upsell you, IS expensive. I feel like I could recommend Tyree to a customer with less construction experience than I, or to an older more trusting member of our community.

But a great plumber is only good if you can get a response from them. I've been dealing with him for several years now. Consistently I've had to message repeatedly, call repeatedly. On occasion - as the first time I contacted him probably in 2023 - he answers the phone himself, and provides info on what he thinks the problem is. And he does phenomenal work. After a few years of being a good customer, patient, paying on time, never objecting to pricing, I **STILL** cannot get a response from him. One issue is that he's a one man show. It's him, or no one. His wife is lovely and accompanies him at times. Very knowledgeable herself. About 4 weeks ago I initiated contact and he responded immediately via text. Great, I thought. Then nothing. After a few more messages checking in, he said there was a family medical situation. I gave him space, and here we are two weeks and yet another text message to him later, and nothing. Nada. And still a leaking well tank. C'mon. Do better. We are done, hope you sort yourself out with other customers - I've seen several other people have had the same experience.

This shot water into my furnace completly destroying it. this company wants to pay for parts. My furnace was in perfect shape with every check up done since since purchase. Furnace is $5600 replacement. Heating company said parts would be over $3400. yesterday while pulling the heat air unit they found the wire harness fried also and several other parts destroyed that they can not replace. I believe they should take responsibility for their error. As of yet we have no settlement. I expect them to pay for the furnace air unit which they destroyed. For both appointment I got a text saying they would be there between 8am-12pm. Both times they never came in the time frame. Both times I had to call and inquire where the plumber was and the lady that answered the phone said she would call the plumber and find out. Within 30 minutes of calling, the plumber called saying the office just sent him over the work order and he was on his way. How would they have been there between 8am-12pm if the plumber didn't even have the work order? So they had me waste my time both times. The second time Homeserve had them camera the line to see what was wrong and they determined the main sewer line needed replacing. That was last Thursday. The plumber told me he would send the pics to his boss and call me once he knows something. Come Tuesday I had not heard anything so I called Homeserve to see what they were going to do and SURPRISE Down Home Plumbing had not sent them anything. So I called Down Home Plumbing and they didn't answer and sent me this text. I explained everything and they asked for the address. Then never replied again. Finally come Thursday I called Homeserve who STILL didn't have anything. I told them I need a competent plumbing company. Friday they had a new company out and the company immediately submitted an estimate. Avoid Down Home Plumbing. There are so many other great companies.

Josh, the owner of IV Air, was the ONLY one who went through every part of my house to get a proper load calculation. I suppose the others just assumed they would replace like with like. The reason that an accurate load calculation is important is twofold: (1) today's equipment is much more efficient than two decades ago, and (2) one should never assume that their current heat pump was properly sized when it was installed way back when. Well, Josh determined that my 4-ton heat pump was way too big (and always had been). He recommended I downsize to a 2.5. Wow! Josh's meticulousness then continued into every aspect of the installation process. There are a lot of HVAC companies out there who just don't care about getting things right.
