My new forever vet! I went here for the first time, since I had moved in the area and postponed going to the vet for a while due to my financial situation. Despite this, the staff were very understanding, knowledge, helpful, and willing to provide any accommodations if needed.

Both trips were efficient, which I appreciated. Cats not happy with the foreign place, but examinations and vaccines were quick. Vet was also able to give some useful advice on what to watch out for as well. For extremely irritated pets (like mine), they have face masks and towel burritos tactics to get the information needed. The prices are very reasonable, and despite being busy, they have a good system so sick patients can get seen as soon as possible. Having a mini pharmacy on site is also helpful. I have no issues about coming here regularly in the future.

When I brought him home he was carrying his tail downward and tucked between his hind legs and didn't seem like himself, so I took him to a vet ER and they determined that the Acute caudal discomfort/tail base pain was consistent with strain from restraint vs. personal/anal gland pain vs. other tail-base injury. When I reported it to the owner, Dr. Bacon wanted to bear no responsibility at all. He insulted my intelligence, by telling me that it was no way that the injury could have happened there. All he wanted to do was defend his staff and his practice. I was very disappointed, since they were my primary veterinarian, but needless to say, I WILL NOT BE TAKING MY DOG BACK THERE!!!

We recently toured this beautiful new practice in the greater Princeton area and were seriously impressed by the level of care, innovation, and comfort thoughtfully built into every corner of the hospital. Specializing in dog and cat care, the hospital combines advanced technology with a fear-free philosophy to help pets feel safe and relaxed. From calming pheromone diffusers to soundproof walls designed to reduce anxiety, every detail has been carefully considered for even the most nervous patients. Their services truly cover it all. Open 6 days a week with weekend availability and extended hours, they offer same-day wellness and sick visits, 24/7 telehealth services, vaccinations, dental care, diagnostics & imaging, routine surgeries, and emergency care. They also perform most lab work in-house, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and cytology, and even utilize AI-powered technology for rapid results. It feels less like a traditional vet office and more like a next-generation pet wellness hub. The amazing Michelle, a veterinary technician with a specialization in dental care, guided us through the peaceful lobby, modern exam rooms, treatment area, dental suite, and surgical space. Brie also got to meet a veterinarian for a thorough examination, where she evaluated her newly developed dry eye condition, addressed a few additional minor concerns, and gave us clear next steps along with real peace of mind. One of the coolest pieces of technology we saw was their ophthalmoscope system, which streams real-time video directly to screens so pet parents can actually see what the veterinarian is seeing during the exam. They can also capture detailed images to monitor conditions over time, making care even more collaborative and proactive. They also offer a Trailblazer Membership with wellness perks and savings designed to make veterinary care more accessible and worry-free. Huge thanks to Hillary from the marketing team for arranging such a wonderful visit!

It was so important to us that our two pups be included on our big day, and Madeline made sure they were both included and so lovingly cared for. One of our pups is 15 years old and as anxious, adoring pawrents we were worried about her ability to navigate our wedding venue and the excitement of the day. Those worries quickly dissipated because Madeline cared for both our pups as if they were her own, and we effusively recommend Happy Bark & Tails to anyone who loves their pup and can't imagine their wedding day without them.

My now-husband and I were in the midst of planning our wedding when we decided to adopt our beautiful puppy, Oreo, and we wanted to ensure that he could be a part of our wedding. Thank goodness we found Happy Bark & Tails. From our first meeting, the owner, Madeline, was informative, and caring, gave us a clear idea of what to expect on our wedding day, and took the time to answer all our questions. Every step of the way, Madeline was patient, responsive, and put us at ease. We even scheduled a meet-and-greet a few weeks before the wedding with Madeline and her husband, Gabriel, who is also a co-owner of the business. We were certain that they would not only care for Oreo but treat him like their own baby. On the day of our wedding, Madeline and Gabriel arrived at our hotel and immediately took care of Oreo. They put on his cute "best dog" scarf and bow tie and handled him while my husband and I got ready for our wedding. They walked him, fed him, played with him, helped him pose for pictures with us, and treated Oreo like family. They transported him to the venue, took him back to our hotel, and stayed with him until we got back. We couldn't have asked for a better company or people to work with! They also documented our wedding day with photos from Oreo's perspective. The gallery of photos was beautiful and something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend Happy Bark & Tails for all your wedding pet care needs. They were great to work with and we have already recommended them to another couple!

Although I had gone through this before with this cat, it was much more severe at this point than ever before and really had me worried. Thus I looked up local vets on the internet and took him to the Paulus Animal Hospital. Dr. Paulus, who runs this place, is a nice enough old man, and when I met with him and my cat, Nine, I felt comfortable and that Nine was in good hands. Dr. Paulus suggested Nine probably had allergies (as I explained this has happened a few times in the past, and a previous vet had given Nine a steroid shot which seemed to do the trick, or prescribed prednisone.) He wanted to do a blood test to find to what Nine was specifically allergic, and proceed from there. Being that Nine's condition had become more severe than ever before, I agreed. I left Nine there and came back that afternoon to pick him up. Nine was of course groggy from the drugs, but after a day had passed, he still seemed groggy, or just uninterested in any activity. The real problem came when I tried to feed him. I normally feed him dry food, but after attempting to eat once, he would just look at the food and not eat. I then tried giving him a can of tuna, as he did seem hungry. But when he attempted to eat the tuna he couldn't keep it in his mouth - he would be smacking away, tuna flying everywhere. I called the vet and told him the situation, so they had me bring Nine back in. We met with Dr. Paulus again, who explained how and what they do in order to take the blood for the test and further explained there was no way the procedure could have harmed Nine. I explained Nine was in much worse shape than when I initially brought him in, with issues he didn't even previously have. Paulus then explained Nine might be experiencing some type of CNS issue, and that he might "not be right upstairs." He told me to watch him for the next couple of days and gave me a contact to a specialist that handles CNS type issues. I took Nine home and worked with him myself for hours, daily, figuring out what foods he was able to eat, and spending time with him until I got him back to his normal self. After dealing with Paulus I didn't trust going to any other vet with my cat, as well as I might have subconsciously been afraid one would tell me he needed to be put down, which is a day to which I am definitely not looking forward. My other complaint with this veterinary office is this: They initially prescribed Nine prednisone when the blood tests came back saying Nine was highly allergic to fungus/mold and dust mites. They were to have a special vaccine concocted in the interim that I would be able to give Nine whenever he showed symptoms of his allergies. This vaccine was supposed to be ready in two weeks. After 30 days Nine's prednisone prescription ran out and still no vaccine. So I called in to see if I could refill the prescription through an online service that was cheaper. The vet approved this and said the vaccine should be ready in a week or so. Another 30 days passes, still no vaccine. I attempt to renew the prescription online again, and the online service contacted me saying the vet would not renew the prescription. When I called the vet I was told it is bad to give an animal prednisone for an extended period of time. I looked this up online and verified it to be valid, and then wondered why then had they allowed the first refill. Nine was still having issues so I looked for nonprescription items to help, but had little luck. By the time the vaccine came in (I believe it took almost 4 months) I told the vet I didn't want it. I continued to tend to Nine myself until finally he was completely healed and 100% back to normal. On top of everything else, the veterinary office always seemed dirty, and always smelled strongly of dirty animals. I would never, ever take any animal here, and I would suggest you don't either.

His…read moreoffice isn't fancy at all, but his veterinary ethic is what someone like me finds precious and rare. His facility isn't state-of-the-art but I prefer his gentle way with my sick little dog over all the high-tech veterinary hospitals - hands down. The large, pristine vet facilities are visually appealing; however, there is a woeful lack of decency, respect and caring, for both pets and people who depend on them. Dr. Paulus is knowledgeable, experienced, thorough and his bedside demeanor is stellar.
