I read another review mentioning the way that animals are handled. If I didn't see it myself I wouldn't have believed it. 10 years ago I started coming here and the love and compassion for animals and affordability was there. They knew you by name when you walked in, how many animals you had, very personable and you would leave feeling informed. All of my cats I got as kittens that I bottle fed and for years I've gone here. I witnessed my cat be transported by the scruff to another room. Sure, 2 lb kittens maybe that's ok. She's 10 years old. I asked if the doctor needed to put her in the carrier he said no. Then they asked me to come into the room to tell me they can't get a urine sample. Naturally, shes protesting and clearly uncomfortable in the room she's in with the other staff members there. For some reason they needed to move her to another room. So the doctor picks her up and holds her in a way I've never seen anyone transport an animal. Both Arms in one hand, both legs in the other hand, body dangling like a piece of butchered meat. Even the other techs looked at the doctor confused and mentioned that it looked like he was he about to put her on a bbq rack. I brought her there because she was sick. She was coughing, had a runny nose and problems breathing. During the exam things seemed very off, you talked over me as I explained what was going on and what I was seeing. It was evident you were in a rush and the concerns I had werent related to what you had already pinpointed the solution to be. I was curious about both the antibiotic and the steroid injection before you had the results of the bloodwork we did, and how both are being administered at the same time but I didn't have a chance to ask. Thank you guys for all your help the first 5-7 years but I think I've seen enough. And no, they do not handle emergency visits. I had called them in distress about another cat a half hour before they were closing, told them I could be there in a few mins we were close and they said we should try another vet that's open till 6p. read more

Helllll no‼‼ This vet is good for vaccinations and the meds are very affordable. DO NOT LET THEM PERFORM ANY TYPE OF SURGERY ON YOUR PET!!! My dog passed away less than 24 hours after she was spayed!! The blood work which showed that her kidney function level was abnormally high was not presented to us until after the surgery was done!!! I was under the impression that she was going to be kept and monitored overnight. That was not the case!!! Dr Raj released her to me less than an hour after she had a hysterectomy!!! She was still heavily sedated when I arrived. I slept with her by my side all night long constantly checking on her only to wake up finding her stuff and warm. When Dr Raj got the results of the bloodwork he should have informed us that she was much sicker than she appeared to be and putting her down for $300 was the best option as opposed to performing the surgery that cost $2500 . DR RAJ CHOSE CAPITAL OVRR COMPASSION!! He knew damn good and well that he should not have performed that surgery once he saw how extremely abnormal her kidney function level was‼‼‼ After this happened to our beloved puppy, I started reading the reviews and this has happened to several people! We are absolutely heartbroken over having to sit here and watch her die before our eyes and there was nothing that could be done to save her.. the results of her blood work was not disclosed to us until we took her corpse back in the office !!! I took my American pitbull terrier for a follow up visit for a growth surgery which cost $800. When I asked where his cone was, I explained that it was broken and he had torn the plastic to be able to set it correctly. Without explaining that there was an additional charge for a new cone and an antiseptic that he should've given me the first time around the veterinarian was attempting to charge me an additional $50 for the two items when the cone was only gonna be on for another week. Once I said I'd rather not have to pay for an additional cone and he got extremely rude with me and made a scene in his office, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. This place is great. The vets and the other staff really seem to care about my pug. They're care, compassion and live just radiated. The vet also helped find a way to treat my baby in a more affordable way, and unlike other vets, he didn't push to do expensive tests or medicine. I've gone here for multiple visits and with each visit, my cat is doing better and better!! My cat can go nearly feral with vets, but with the care she's gotten here, her overall behavior has improved. I go here every 2 months for claw cutting and the staff loves my cat and truly shows their passion for animals. Would recommend this place to anyone! read more

Didn't even check out my pet who suffers from breeding problems. They claimed he was healthy, charged me $45 for a visit that lasted maybe 3-5 min and asked for me to get medications for another $18. On top of that the appointments was 15 minutes late and very unprofessional. I'm very serious about the health of my pet and I don't think it's fair how I was treated and how little they cared about helping pets. Edit: there was a huge tick above his eye which further shows how little this vet cares. I called them up requesting a refund because they didn't provide service that I paid for, they answered I talked with the manager who talked over me and was very rude. He said and I quote " I will not refund you because you already paid" then hung up. I called back 3 times just to get hung up on each time. I'm so glad I checked the Yelp reviews for this place the day before our senior dog was scheduled for dental surgery. I cancelled the surgery after reading all the horrendous experiences folks have had with this vet, which corroborate what we experienced in the appointments leading up to the surgery. The employees at this establishment seem to manhandle animals as a matter of course, right in view of pet owners, so who knows what happens behind closed doors. I concur with another reviewer that some of the vet techs seem like they don't even have positive attitudes toward animals, which means they're in the wrong role. At our first appointment to get both our dogs' vaccines and heart worm tests updated, the vet tech let our more energetic dog fall butt-first off the exam table and slam her ribcage against the edge of it on the way down, which caused her head to jerk back. It was very hard to watch. Our pup was of course scared/shaken up, but the tech didn't show any emotion other than maybe increased nervousness, and neither she nor the vet apologized or even acknowledged that something had gone wrong. This left a bad taste in my mouth, but Faith had more immediate availability than other vets close to me, so against my best judgement, we proceeded with the care plan for our senior dog who needs a dental extraction. To prepare for the extraction, I took him in for bloodwork and let him go potty outside the office right before. When I got inside, they told me they'd need blood and urine. I apologized and told them that I had just let him go pee outside so he might not have any urine for them, and he didn't. So I had to go back the next day to drop off urine that we collected ourselves. Not a big deal on its own, but it was the first sign of their habit of neglecting to prepare clients with information they need in order for their pet to receive care. While I was dropping off the urine the next morning, I witnessed an elderly, decrepit dog being carried out to the waiting room toward her human. Rather than holding the dog comfortably like you're taught to as a child, the tech had one arm under the pup's tummy area, where her stomach and bladder are, and the other arm under the pup's neck/windpipe. It was very hard to watch. My senior pup's tests came back normal, so I called to schedule an appointment for the dental extraction. A few days later, I realized that I hadn't yet received any pre-surgery instructions around whether to allow our pup to eat and drink water prior to the procedure, etc. I made a mental note to call the office and ask, but forgot until the day before the surgery appointment. I called the office at 10:30am the day before the surgery and asked if there were any pre-surgery steps or precautions we needed to take with our pup. The receptionist immediately blurted "Oh, they were supposed to tell you all that when you scheduled the appointment." He then provided me with pre-surgery instructions, which are intended to keep the animal from vomiting while under anesthesia, which could cause major complications. I thanked him and hung up. But wait - were they about to just neglect to prepare us with this essential information had I not called? It certainly seemed that was the case. I stewed over this for a while and read others' reviews here until we decided that this level of negligence wasn't within our comfort zone when it comes to our pups. I called the office back around 11:30am and spoke with who I believe is the front desk manager. I said I wanted to cancel tomorrow's appointment and explained it was because I didn't receive important pre-surgery instructions until I called this morning, and that made me nervous. He was amenable to cancelling the appointment but insisted repeatedly that their protocol is to call every client personally and provide instructions prior to surgery. I replied that I had not received a call with instructions and it was now 21 hours before the surgery appointment. He again proceeded to rattle off their protocol of calling every client personally to provide instructions. I wasn't happy with his explanation, so he proactively offered to refund our $200 deposit. We've since moved to South River Veterinary Clinic, and so far they've outshined Faith at every turn. Their staff are obviously animal lovers and both the vet and other staff members have already made a point to thoroughly prepare us for what to expect with our pup's surgery in a few days. read more

I have been taking my cats to this vet for the past 4 years, but today's visit was absolutely HORRIBLE. The whole team changed, even the original doctor was not there. The vet assistant/tech treated my cats extremely harshly. There is no way this young lady even likes animals, she should not be working at a vets office. One of my cats can be a little feisty when she feels threatened, this vet assistant did not know how to handle her. She actually aggravated my cat even more to the point where my cat was hissing and growling. What's worse is that the actual vet and other workers were not apologetic about how my cat was treated, the office manager completely avoided me. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. Let me preface this with the fact that I never, ever write bad reviews. I usually feel it's a waste of time and no one is actually listening. However, after calming down, I am writing this review because I feel others should know this office values money over the welfare of your animal. I took all three of my animals here, a dog and two cats, for their vaccines, heart worm testing, etc. Mind you, I have paid the full amount every time regardless of how much it was. I have a well paying job and have never had issues with the bill. This morning, I visited their office and explained very kindly to the tech that I had some financial woes come up and, although quoted $55 for my cat's three years rabies vaccine, if I could pay $30 upfront and I would pay the rest in 5 days when I get paid. I was told this isn't possible because of trust issues with other patients in the past. What does that have to do with me? With a customer who has been coming here for years with all my pets? I have a good track record and that's when I realized, this place ONLY wants your money. As humans, we are not turned away from healthcare because we are uninsured or low on money. Why is my pet being treated as though his life is worth less? You're a vet's office, shouldn't you have a heart? The manager, an elderly Indian gentleman, even dismissed me so rudely when I said I would never come back. "Yes dear, okay dear, that's fine dear." I'm not your "dear" or anyone close to you. I'm your customer. Just because I'm younger than you doesn't mean you can try to sweeten your greedy ways. I've even seen him be rude to his staff on multiple occasions. He is unfeeling and pompous, what a shame he's the manager. I will ultimately never come here again with any of my pets. Try North Brunswick Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Lelkes if you can. The clinic has a very simple design; however, it is well-maintained. The veterinarian, Dr Raj Narala, is very kind and took his time taking my dog's medical history. He also patiently and thoroughly answered questions regarding my dog's care. A new secretary apologised for misinforming me of dental and surgery procedures. All patients must arrive at 8:30 AM, but I arrived at a later scheduled time (11:45 AM). I appreciate that the secretary took responsibility for her action. She offered to reschedule my dog's teeth cleaning for a later date and said my dog can stay for blood work and a distemper vaccination in the interim. Procedure costs, prescription food, and medications were more affordable here than at other clinics. I would highly recommend Faith Veterinary Clinic. They say they are associated with the friends of animals program for spay & neuter @ a low cost. When you get there they say it's not worth it and charge excess of $350+. Because my pet had been there before I didn't want to change his appointment but questioned their billing practices. The next day I got a call saying the vet had a conflict and they had to cancel my dogs procedure - and no appointments for many weeks out. First and foremost I have to say this Vet Clinic is a savior! I had called and explained the situation of my pup having had her tumor biopsied by her primary vet but where they had stuck her the site wouldn't stop bleeding. I googled a vet near myself because her primary was closed for the day. Faith Clinic in North Brunswick came up, and for last minute and the clinic being fully staffed they took her in to cauterize and wrap her paw. I explained the situation to Dr. Narala of her tumor and how my primary was not comfortable doing the surgery Dr. Narala analyzed her paw and with confidence told me it is my choice but when I'm ready he could remove it for her. The team and staff were beyond professional and caring with Kahlua. After the tumor would not stop bleeding I took her back to Dr. Narala and he performed an emergency tumor removal. He saved my dog-child's life I know of it!; because his confidence along with the genuine love and care of the staff is what made me within the first visit know that he is to be her primary vet. After surgery he asked for me to call the next day to inquire as to how she is doing. Where do you ever hear that! The genuine care for his patience and practice is unbelievable! I brought Kahlua in for her follow up where they had to remove and rebandage her paw( as you can imagine a large tumor on a small paw of course the healing will take time) but the excitement of the staff to see Kahlua and remember her name, and pet her and comfort her, it's like dropping your child off with the best daycare service knowing your child is in great hands. I can go on and on about this clinic but I'm sure no one wants to read a novel. Thank you again Dr. Narala and staff, Kahlua loves you guys and I'm ever greatful! read more

Recently moved to the area and needed a new vet for my cat - I regret choosing this one. We had to wait for upwards of 30 minutes which was very stressful for her. Once the vet finally saw her, he had not read any of her previous records and had to be prompted several times before he finally glanced at them. After only one glance and without running any tests of his own, he started prescribing a ton of medications and was very dismissive of my questions as to why they were necessary. One of the medications he prescribed was an antibiotic injection, and ever since then my cat has been vomiting at least twice a day (which I read later is a side effect of the medication) and barely eating. They did not warn me about the possibility of these side effects. The antibiotic was supposed to treat her respiratory infection (which her previous vet had determined was viral and not treatable by antibiotics - I told the vet this, and he dismissed me) and it has done nothing to improve her respiratory symptoms and just caused her needless suffering. I would not recommend anyone take their pets here. read more

Run away. The staff is rude and the veterinarian, Dr Raj Narala is also unprofessional. I purchased a Friends of Animals certificate for a spay. There is a list of vets who take this and you also call to confirm. The certificate pays for everything except routine bloodwork, which must be limited to $65. I waited more than a month for the appt but upon arriving, the office informed me that FOA doesn't pay enough so it is $365 more. If you don't want to take the FOA certificates, just take your name off of the list. I was actually willing to pay something more, but at $365, the benefit of doing this through FOA is completely negated. On top of the rudeness, I would NEVER take a pet here. If they aren't nice to the people, how are they treating your beloved dog when you don't see what's happening? read more

If I was able to give negative stars, I would. This review is for this practice to very seriously improve basic medical skills of its vets, and for owners to not take their diagnosis at face value. Our cat died because one of the vets at this practice misread his xray and didn't examine him properly, then diagnosed him for something entirely different, even prescribing antibiotics. Due to their mistake, what could have been an operable condition became fatal. They later admitted to their mistake, but it didn't do any good. Further to that, when he deteriorated they did not give him an appointment. Due to the incompetence of this practice, our cat has died because due to his general good health, his symptoms didn't become apparent before it was too late. Please be mindful of this practice. We have learned in the most heartbreaking way, and do not want any pet owners to have a similar experience. read more

Our cat was severely misdiagnosed by one of their practitioners. When his condition deteriorated, we took him to another veterinarian (after FVC declined to give us an emergency appointment). The new clinic correctly diagnosed him, but unfortunately he deteriorated quickly, and passed away. There is no doubt that FVC's malpractice resulted in our cat's not receiving timely medical treatment, and therefore his death. I'm not sure if the practitioner was inexperienced, or just failed to pay attention. Either way, it's unacceptable. Our pets deserve better. read more

Dr PK should have his license pulled after nearly having my sisters recovery dog put to sleep. He told my sister that her dog had a major growth in his throat, and that if it was his dog, he would "put it down" Now, all of us in the family decided to get a second opinion, as this clearly could not be the case. The dog was eating and sleeping and running around, the whole bit. So, we got him to another vet... Nothing going on . No huge tumor in the throat. What if my sister would've taken his advice and let her animal get put to sleep for no reason? Also, of course the doctor had a specialist that he wanted to send my sister to, if she wanted... More scare tactics and BD.(Probably a friend, who gets a kick back.) Absolutely not. People, please don't go here if you want: Accurate results. Or accurate testing. Or bedside manner. For starters the staff will do nothing to help you, they'll pressure you into signing documents and then won't give you the info on those documents you signed. Also I swear they were mistreating a dog who was knocked out for his service but looked to honestly be dead. All we were trying to do was get our animals information and they kept hanging up. I would give the vets zero stars. There are 2 aspects to review at this clinic. The actual vet and the the people who work here. The staff is amazing, very caring, loving and answered all our questions, even through my tears. My dog was in visible pain and they treated him like their own. The actual Vets are horrible. He didn't tell us anything, instead just gave a laundry list of horrible possibilities and didn't give any solutions. When we got the X-ray back, he could not tell us anything, and referred us to radiology. When I called to check up on the results the vet was extremely rude, read off the sheet and basically told me to be quiet when I asked a question. The vets have zero human skills and are rude to women. However, Andrew, the vet in training, was able to explain things and give us the simplified version of what is wrong. I have been going to this clinic before in was in a building (2011) with my cats and now new cavapoo. These vets know what they are doing and are great at getting to the point. They are not here to rob you of your money. They are here to provide a service to your pets. I have been going to faith vet clinic since 2011 with my cats and now new puppy. Pricing is beyond reasonable. If you want someone to coddle you go else where. I'm not going to be coddled I'm going to keep my beloved fur babies healthy. During Covid I wish they explained their procedures over the phone. This is the procedure I went through. Call to schedule appointment. Call to check in soon arriving. WOW!!! I have been taking my cat here since I adopted him six years ago. This vet is affiliated with the animal shelter so I figured it would be a good fit and it was... UNTIL. I noticed a big change in 2020 when COVID struck. They had us leave our pets with them while the pet parents remained in the car. My appointment was in July so you can imagine how hot it was. Not only were they not ready for me at my appointed time but I had to sit in the car for over 30 minutes with the air conditioning running so my cat wouldn't get overheated. Strike one. This year I took my cat for his annual visit to get his shots and to have blood work so he could he scheduled to have his teeth cleaned. Once the results from the blood test came back okay I scheduled an appointment to have his teeth cleaned for September 14th. When I try to confirm a ballpark figure for the oral surgery the quote was almost $100 higher than what I was quoted the week prior. Now I have that information in writing and when I try to speak to the male receptionist about the discrepancy he began to over talk me. I continue to let him speak when he paused I tried to explain the situation and he overspoke me again. At that point I was disgusted he claimed that he was busy there were people there and he would call me back I told him don't bother to call me back just keep the appointment for the 14th. Something told me to call back because I didn't trust that he kept the appointment and guess what??? he didn't! The other receptionist told me I have an appointment for Friday September 16th. Not a fan. This is not my normal vet who is a 1/2 hour away. Opted to come here bc my dog split the tip of her ear and was bleeding badly so I picked the closest place that was open. The doctors are all older Indian men who would only direct their questions to my boyfriend. Also kept calling my dog a He which was obviously intentional as they seem really misogynist. My dog was bleeding and shaking nonstop but his main concern was selling us allergy shots and scolding me about "not doing what's right for the animal." Total waste of time and money. read more

I got no return call. Called again thursdsy. No call back. Rusty died overnight Thursday. He was on antibiotics but he was old and really sick. I just brought him in there to be cremated and asked why I did not get return call. No one said anything and no apologies. And no one said sorry for your loss. Such a cold experience. The "manager" is the rudest person ever. Has no tact, talks over you. I had high hopes for this place and it appears that they don't care about the animals only the money they are receiving. I have been using this clinic for my various animals since it first opened up, I usually visited the clinic in franklin township. Last week I brought my dog to them in their north Brunswick office. She had not been previously seen by them she was a rescue and I was still taking her to her prior vet, but he has since retired. I knew something was wrong with her the new female vet told me she would need blood tests, X-rays, and possible surgery. I said Whatever needs to be done. Doctor Raj came in and said let's do blood work first, give her antibiotics and we'll call you tomorrow with the blood work, call if she gets worse. I waited until the afternoon the next day to call and ask for the results of the blood work I was told the doctor would call me back at the end of the day. I never got a call back, after calling the following morning and leaving numerous messages I received a call back to tell me her blood tests showed an infection and to come in and get more antibiotics and something to help with her appetite so I could get her to eat to take the medicine. I was told to give the medicine time, she'll feel better. I asked if there was anything else to do they said give it time. Saturday morning I knew something was wrong I called the vets office as soon as they opened and was told the doctor wasn't in (even though they were open?) that they could see if there was more medicine to give her. I said no she needs to see the vet something is wrong. The people that answered the phone simply said you'll have to go to the emergency vet then. I asked which one they recommended and didn't Receive a reply before they hung up on me. Sadly I had to put my pup to sleep because the infection had spread and there was nothing else to do. I'm extremely upset. I feel as though I was given the run around and just had medicine shoved at me to spend an enormous amount of money. Be careful if you take your pet here. Excellent service with a calm and assertive pack leader-like Doctor and assistants. So friendly it felt like I was talking to people I had known for years.
