Dr. Anwar's staff is polite but needs to be more honest in guiding the new patient for their office policy. At the same time Dr. Anwar needs to be more considerate if complained about her staff and be more careful to choose her words she speaks. As. doctor how good she became obvious to me when she ordered tests knowing that she is not going to prescribe any medicine for it although she was asked before the test. She lied that yes a medication can be prescribed if so and so test is positive. Later she said it was already too late too prescribe the medicine. read more

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST DOCTOR'S OFFICE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. They have raving 4/5 star reviews when you google them but trust me, those reviews have got to be fake or bought. I came here for the first time yesterday because i was experiencing terrible abdominal pains and vomiting for the past three days. I found the place online and was drawn to them because of their glowing reviews. So I called to make an appointment. The receptionist who answered the phone was very monotone, soft spoken, and just seemed like she didn't want to be doing what she was doing. I looked past that and decided to make my appointment for that same day. Dr. Anwar does not care about her patients, to put it simply. She measured me, weighed me, and rushed me into my room. I kid you not, I was out of there in less than five minutes. She diagnosed me with a stomach virus and prescribed me some pills for nausea (which only worsened it by the way) and sent me on my way. She was in no way thorough in my diagnosis, nor did she ask me if I had any questions. It all seemed very rushed. This isn't even the worst part about my experience at this hell hole. I had forgotten to ask for a doctor's note when I left the office. I needed one because I missed an exam that day to go see a doctor. I called the office and let them know of the situation. The receptionist told me I could come in the next day to pick it up, as long as I called in ahead of time. Fast forward to Today (the next day)-- I call an hour before I plan on going to get my doctor's note and nobody picks up. The voicemail lets me know that their hours are from 8AM - 5 PM Monday through Friday, and that their lunch break is from 12-1. I figured they weren't picking up because they were at lunch. I got to the place, went to see if they were back (the time was 1:30 by the way) and the doors were locked. I figured, hmm..maybe they recently changed their lunch hour from 1-2? So I decided to kill some time and go grocery shopping at a nearby grocery store. I finished shopping at 3. I called the office--still nobody was picking up the phone and it would go straight to voicemail. I kept calling and in the end made about 8 phone calls until someone finally picked up. This is how the conversation went when the receptionist answered the phone: Me: Hello Receptionist: Hi Me: Are you guys open today? R: Well, we answered the phone, didn't we? Me: Well I came by earlier and the doors were locked. R: Were not seeing patients today but we're open. Me: Ok, I just wanted to drop by and pick up my doctor's note that I forgot to get yesterday. R: Did you call ahead of time to let us know you wanted to come get your note? *side note* HOW THE HELL WAS I SUPPOSED TO CALL AHEAD OF TIME AND LET YOU KNOW I WAS GOING TO COME IN TO PICK UP THE NOTE IF ALL DAY NOBODY HAS BEEN ANSWERING THE PHONE? Me: No, but I called yesterday and I was told I could come in today to pick it up. R: You didn't talk to me yesterday, but sure, you can come pick up your note. Just come before 5. So, I drive all the way back and go get my doctor's note that I so desperately needed. I get to the receptionist's window and say "Hi, I just wanted to pick up my doctor's note." Before I could even finish my sentence, this woman grabbed the paper, slapped it on the desk and shut her window. SHE DIDNT UTTER A SINGLE WORD TO ME. EVEN THOUGH I WAS TRYING MY BEST TO BE KIND AND REMAIN POSITIVE. This was just the cherry on top for me. This place is an utter joke. I can't believe they're a running doctor's office. Avoid this place at all costs. 1) If you have certain hours of operation, you should stick to them. ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU'RE A DOCTORS OFFICE. 2) Learn to treat your patients with some decency. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Anwar for over 10 years and she is by far the best physician I have ever been to. First, her staff has remained samw from the time I became a patient, which is a sign of a stable office and leadership. Further, Dr. Anwar takes the time to truly understand her patients from a holistic manner. Some may consider her nosy/intrusive, however, I view her approach to treatment as a way of understanding how all aspects of your life can affect your overall health. Dr. Anwar has been able to treat chronic illnesses that I have had for years in a way that has stabilized my symptoms; no other doctor has been able to to do this for me. This is one doctor that you will find in the Sugar Land area who genuinely cares for her patients. Has not only helped my father in law control his diabetes which was uncontrollable but also monitors it on regular basis to make sure it is in control. Dr Anwar has been our doctor since 2008. I also know there staff since that time as well, efficient and friendly . Dr Anwar is always focused and as i can only comment for our family, her diagnosis has always been on dot . I have compared her diagnosis and treatment with what specialist had recommended in two instances and felt very confident as her being our family doctor. We have pediatrician for our kids but now I have started taking my kids to her as well, as the office gives appointment quickly and it has become easy for them to get proper care immediately. I would recommend her to everyone who wants a compassionate doctor. read more

I would give her zero stars if I could. Nothing is more important than the staff of a physician's office, given that they are the door for the patient and their families or caregivers. Dr.Anwar seems like a caring and knowledgeable professional but her staff leave her high and dry. I recommend seeing a different physician for your health needs. read more

I love Dr. Anwar!! She has been my PCP for over 13 years and my kids as well. She is the most caring and compassionate person I know. She takes her patient's health and well-being seriously. Every single time I go for an appointment she takes the time to tell me what I need to hear like stop drinking soda, stop eating junk food, exercise more. She goes above and beyond because she genuinely CARES! Her staff is amazing as well. They are so supportive and professional which allows for a pleasant atmosphere. Dr. Anwar treats the "whole" patient. She has helped me through depression, heart scares, weight gain, asthma, diabetes, teeth problems, high cholesterol and other health issues. I had a fear of doctors when I first came to Dr. Anwar. Past doctors had been very condescending and I felt very disconnected from them so I avoided them (which is not a good idea for a diabetic.). I have been her patient for over 10 years and I feel I am much healthier than my first visit 10 years ago. Dr. Anwar has helped me become more responsible for my own health. She listens very well and at times has given more than one option for my medical problem. I see her four times a year for my regular diabetes checkup in addition to any time I am Ill. Her office is run very efficiently with the same staff members who get to know their patients. I feel that Dr. Anwar has been responsible for extending the quality of my life and for that I am very thankful. read more
