This was my first time coming to this branch as a patient myself. I have been here on other…read moreoccasions for mother's appointments. I arrived 45 minutes early yet I was not seen until 15 minutes after my appointment. While the waiting room is very spacious and clean, I do not see a reason for such a long wait as the office was not very crowded with patients. I was attended to by a nurse who was very nice and skilled with using their very old and outdated equipment. While it was impressive that she was able to use that kind of equipment, the measurements were not the most accurate. There must be some disorganization because some of my measurements were recorded inaccurately in the report at the end of my visit. I saw Dr. Ana Corteguera, who my parents also usually see. As a first time patient, I expected her to spend some time hearing my medical history but she rushed me through the entire visit. I felt as though she did not really care about my problems and just wanted to get me in and out of there was fast as possible. In fact, I even forgot to talk about something I had been meaning to ask a doctor because of that. Furthermore, instead of discussing treatment and testing options with me, she just chose the one that was the most convenient for her, which of course, happened to be the most expensive costing one for me. All in all, I think that this office can certainly improve its efficiency and if you had to visit this branch, I would recommend seeing someone else besides Dr. Corteguera.

I cannot be more pleased with how she makes me feel welcomed at her practice. Her friendly personality coupled with her medical knowledge make her an amazing doctor. All of her staff are very pleasant to speak to as well. Nurse Aguilar has been the nurse that has worked with me each visit so far, and she is wonderful as well. Dr. Umah and nurse Aguilar both make me feel comfortable and not nervous, like some other doctors do. They treat you like a patient should be treated...with respect and they show they genuinely care for their patients health. If you are looking for a new doctor, look no further. Give them a try.

The facility is pleasant, however; there are a few things that they can improve upon. While waiting a short time at the urgent care facility (09/16/2016), I witness a wonderful act of compassion. There was a young couple that came in with their infant child who needed immediate attention. I don't know what the issue was with the child. The receptionist looked at the child and went to get Dr. Peter Kwan. He came to look the baby over and left quickly to do something. The receptionist then asked the couple for their insurance, and the mother gave her the insurance card. The receptionist said "Oh I'm sorry, we don't take Amerigroup". The couple looked disappointed and frightened but turned to leave. As they were heading towards the door, Dr. Peter Kwan came running towards the desk yelling "I'll do it, I'll do it, bring the baby over here!". I literally teared up. He cared for the baby, gave them instructions, and the couple left with the child. It was so amazing. I was getting ready to leave after seeing the interaction with the receptionist, but Dr. Kwan made me stay with his actions. Next Level Urgent Care, you should be thankful that you have such a loving and compassionate doctor that works there. We need more like him.

It's a simple lab test & they should know the proper coding vs making the patients pay ALOT of extra money $$$$ unnecessarily. Any other doctors office would have had lab charges covered & filed a proper coding or at least helped with the billing but they refused to help us. . We were not asking for much & if you go there be prepared to pay for your own lab work even if have great insurance. We do not recommend this office cause of unexpected & unnecessary charges that insurance would of covered if they filed properly .

Their office entrance is different from the other business, though. Right when I walked in, I was greeted by a rude receptionist (I can't remember her name). She was very short with me, and was unhappy when I didn't completely fill out all my new patient paperwork. I told her that I filled out the form that they sent me via e-mail, and that their office did not tell me to fill out any additional paperwork before coming in. Regardless, she still made it seem like it was my fault. Anyway, when I finally met my PCP, Dr. Luu, it was a complete 180. She was super nice and understanding. She also explained all the tests that I would be having and why I needed them. She also told me what diagnostic/lab tests that I was up to date with, and those I had to schedule an appointment with her for soon. I really like this doctor. So the moral of the story is: 5 Stars for Dr. Luu 2 Stars for the rude receptionist = 3 Stars Overall Hopefully, they fix her rude behavior. I really want to keep coming here.

The purpose of my visit was to receive a six month review of my current medications. My normal co-pay went from 5.00 to 76.00. I learned from my insurance company that my visit was coded as an emergency appointment. According to the treatment received, I had several diagnostic tests. This was not the case. In addition, the information submitted to my insurance company includes ruining a high fever, severe cough and headache. The information was submitted to misled the insurance company and jack up the co-pay. This was a blatant attempt to commit fraud.

I saw Jasmin Jacobs for a private medical concern. Without performing any formal testing, she confidently told me my symptoms pointed to a lifelong condition that I would simply have to manage. I became emotional, and her response was to recommend that I restart my anxiety medication. I left the appointment in tears. I sought a second opinion, and another doctor determined I simply had an infection. After two weeks of treatment, all of my symptoms were gone, and they have never returned. I understand that providers can make mistakes, but being told I had a lifelong condition without appropriate testing caused me unnecessary fear and emotional distress. I hope future patients receive a more thorough evaluation before being given such a serious diagnosis.

It's located right behind H-E-B (not in the same parking lot). Some maps don't pull up the address correctly because the street is relatively new as of this review date. The address I added on Yelp is accurate. The facility and process they implement for Covid-19 prevention is great. They check you at the entrance and actually enforces people to distance themselves. Everyone wears their mask and tries to be safe. I feel like we got lucky choosing this place. Thank you for being awesome!

The office schedules appointments and you are seen right away without a 1 hour wait time. I found her by accident and I am so thankful to God I did. Started with the receptionist calling someone else to help me every time I went to the counter, it really seemed like she was untrained and it was very unprofessional. Then the nurses were very curt and didn't even bother making eye contact. Dr Sami came in and took my vitals, asked questions about family medical history, then did a breast exam. She was very cold and distant the whole time. After that I expected the pap, but she told me I'd be getting blood work and providing a urine sample and was done. I was ushered out the door without any of my concerns being addressed and without a Pap smear done. I left very upset and feel like I wasted my time and money. I will definitely not be returning, and do not recommend Dr Sami to anyone.

She justified everything as normal, but agreed to prescribe me some heartburn medication since none of the OTC things were working, and mine was so bad that I couldn't even lay down without intense burning. She was empathetic when I ended up with a PUPPS rash, and gave me suggestions of things I could do to ease the discomfort. Since I had a scheduled c-section, she gave me several dates to choose from, which was nice. Postnatal care: This is where I have issues. The MFM had me on baby asprin since week 20, and I'm not sure if there was a lack of communication, but I was never informed that I needed to stop taking it prior to surgery. That being said, I ended up with pretty bad postpartum hemorrhaging that could have been easily avoided. I will say, I do like that she made my incision super low so it's not visible even with bikini-style underwear. She also put "everything" back well, so my abdomen looks defined at times because of how she placed everything. The nurses are the reason I skipped my 6 month postpartum checkup. I don't remember their names, but one of them was super rude to me when I called about my postpartum hemorrhaging. I even remember one of them being sassy when I would call in for questions while I was pregnant. It's also alarming that I skipped the appt, and no one ever called to check up. As bad as this sounds, I still haven't gotten checked out, but I plan on finding a different OB/Gyn and getting a very overdue postpartum check. Nurses make a huge difference in how the patient feels about a practice, and I have to dock off a star because of their service.

I understand doctors are busy but in that setting I am a customer so I don't care how busy you are. For example, I asked her to check a few things once she walks into the room and she does not remember to check until I remind her again before she walks out. She does not take her time to chat with you and see how you truly are doing (I especially value this because I am a first time mom and I am anxious and nervous about everything.) 2) Office staffs are not friendly but they seem to improve a bit after I sent a complaint to the main office. They are not patient in answering your questions and of course I had to deal with them on wrong billings. 3) Although I have never met Dr. Wong's nurse Rebecca, I already dislike her due to her phone etiquette. She makes you sound dumb and has attitude when talking to you. In summary, if you are looking for a passionate and personal OB/GYN, unfortunately I would not recommend Dr. Wong even though she receives good rating from the majority reviews.
