They followed my grandmother's two younger brothers to work in the Kaiser Shipyards (the prepping for WWII was going on even though war had not been declared) and it saved them. They picked fruit for ten cents a basket as they drove to Portland. Talk about modern-day pioneers! Grandpa, grandma, my ten-year-old mother, and, her four-year-old brother coming across country based on faith that good things would happen. It is here at the now renovated Iron Fireman CollectIvee that my Grandpa got a badly-needed job as a machinist. For some reason, I can't save this as a draft. There is limited information I can find about it. The first floor is occupied by Pastini ( a local pasta chain) upper floors are rented as office space. The Buildings exterior looks to be brick and white terra cotta. It features names and busts of famous composers. Wrapping around the building. The top is a slanted green roof with windows in dormers. The roof makes it a building that looks different then anything around it. There aren't a lot of sources but according to Wikipedia it was built in 1926 as the first artist studio building in Portland, the building originally was filled with rehearsal studios for musicians and actors. It was designed to be run along with the, now unused, Guild theater next door where the musicians and actors could perform in its recital hall. The restrooms for the Guild Theater were actually in the Studio building and the Guild's original entrance was through the Studio building.

Ben goes above and beyond to ensure the properties are secure and taken care of. I have rented two different units at two different properties. After buying my first home unexpectedly, (the day after getting preapproved), I gave 30 days notice I would be moving out. We paid the entire early term fee that same day. Upon doing so we were told if a tenant was found that amount of time would be sent back to us in between our move out date and the date the new tenant took possession of the unit. Upon receiving our check we were informed they didn't "have to give us anything back" when we asked about the remaining funds owed to equal the "half back" we were told we would receive at the live final walk through. We received 1/3 of the total, and 30% less than was even brought to our attention in the first place (I am not a property manager so I dont think to ask that). Ensure you keep detailed records when dealing with this company as they try to exhaust their way through the process and have little to no understanding of customer service and thoroughly comprehending what is being stated the first time around. Not to mention when signing our first lease with them our original unit was given away after we had signed for it, paid, and completed paperwork, should've known. Rent from anyone else if you would like to be treated fairly, especially after being a long term, quiet, and on time tenant.
