Okay, so this isn't the place for a romantic dinner. Set in a strip plaza, this small restaurant seats about 22-24 people. It's a simple place, nothing fancy, sort of a hole-in-the-wall (which is fine by me) but the food is good. I've had their pizzas in the past, which is some of the best in the area. I like my pizza on the thin side and crispy. Great red sauce too. Tonight three of us shared the garlic knots. Our young waitress said some were being made, so when we got them, they were nice and hot. They're dipped in olive oil that's seasoned with garlic chunks and served with a red sauce. I had the linguini with clams. Finally, a place I can go to that makes it without any cream. There was enough clams to eat, along with the right amount of garlic. My friends had the stuffed shells and lasagna. Now, that lasagna looked really different. It wasn't stacked high in layers but almost flat, but my friend said she liked it. Stuffed shells were good too. We all had a salad. Pretty big, but just a typical garden salad. Good blue cheese dressing. Our young waitress spoke softly. Not sure if she's new to being a waitress, but she did fine. The restaurant could liven up the atmosphere with better music - give me some good Italian music and make me feel like I'm in Rome. The food here all looks the same. Anything with a pasta and red sauce is covered in so much cheese that you can't even recognize what it is. Not good "real" Italian food. And there absolutely no ambiance. A little music (Italian perhaps?) would go a long way to adding a pleasant surrounding. The service is extremely slow. read more

I just had my first takeout order and the food is just like I used to have from Italian restaurants in New Jersey. Baked Ziti and fettuccine Alfredo were both awesome! Ordered for pickup over the phone; could not get initial entree because they lacked ingredients. Then the order took an hour. Not terrible for pickup, however when we arrived there was only 1 table seated. Even so, it took another 15-20 minutes before an employee asked what we needed. Then we were informed that they had already given our pickup order to someone else. We left and went to Pizettas. Much better food much better service. read more

We got take-away pizza tonight. It was overdone - cheese was dark brown - and overall just not very good. Crust was very chewy and lacked flavor, except for the outer crust that was very overdone. We enjoy the entrees in the restaurant and thought we'd try the pizza. We'll go back to ordering entrees. read more

I come down from Apex NC to see my sister and this is usually my first stop to get the Falcons Philly steak sandwich. For the first time ever I was so disappointed. The bread has always been so delicious and crispy as it should be on a Philly steak, however, tonight it was like eating loaf bread. WHAT HAPPENED??? I love this sandwich but no more. I didn't even eat but a few bites before opening the sub and just eating the insides of half. Why do restaurants always mess up a perfect food? Bottom line: Real NYC pizza that's pretty good. Pleasantly surprised. Buy a pie and give them a shot.

I visited this restaurant on October 1, 2023. I ordered a calzone with sausage and meatballs. If you have ordered a calzone in NYC or Philly you normally get one with a nice pizza-type crust. Unfortunately, this had a thin hard crust. In addition, you needed a microscope to see the sausage and meatball filling. The majority of the filling was mozzarella cheese. I always have a great experience here, the staff is very kind, and the menu has a wide range of Italian food. The cheese pizza is the classic and the garlic knots are phenomenally buttery and garlicky. I hope they offer delivery soon read more

We used to order from this restaurant perhaps once every week or so. Their pizza is pretty good, however, recently I called to place a to go order and was told they were not accepting any phone orders that day. So I no longer go here, there are other places within a mile or so that offer food that is just as good if not better. They never seem to have a problem taking to go orders either. read more

I always get slices to go. The pies that are made there for slices are unique. They have some awesome slices. There are some that have pushed me out of my comfort zone.They taste great. There are classic ones that they sell by the slice also. I really like and enjoy the crust,I believe it is made like other pizza places but it tastes so good! Service was good. Food took forever and it was just ok. So it was only 2 of us. There was a 4 top that sat just behind us. She took our order then the 4 top. The 4 top got their food well before us. All we had was a pasta dish. The 4 top ate, paid, and walked out the door before we ever got our food. It took 50 minutes for us to get the first plate. Then my other person had to wait a few more minutes for his plate. This was unacceptable for the amount of time we had to wait. read more

This location is primarily best for pizza. Pizza is a 7 out of 10. Not necessarily a good location for indoor dining. Crowded, noisy, little ambiance. Online orders need to be checked to ensure order has been fulfilled. Read other posts, poor management that has difficulty with staffing and getting overtime with orders. Hard to find physical location after the sun goes down since there is no lighted sign. read more

Pretty disappointed after eating here tonight. New to the Leland area so was hoping this Italian place was good but between the wait and food I won't be giving it a second go. Maybe the pizza and pasta is better but the cheesesteak was about as dry and bland as it comes, with little to no meat. It was pretty difficult to chew and swallow as it was mostly hard bread. The Caesar salad on the side for a $1.50 up charge did not taste like a Caesar, I ended up not eating it, hence the no picture attached of it. Also be prepared for a 45 min wait for a sandwich, it was busy so I guess people like the food. read more

Tried Falcones for the first time last night. We called our food in for pick up and the lady on the phone said 30 minutes. We didn't get our food until an hour and 15 minutes later, which led my husband to wait there for an extremely long time. Would've totally been fine if they just gave us a longer projection time, maybe even apologized, or even a offered a free cannoli...or something! His waiting was never even acknowledged which is horrible customer service. When he finally got home, we were hoping it'd be worth it but the food was very "ok". Garlic knots were the highlight... which is kinda sad. Cheese sticks had no "pull" and were very cold, garlic parm wings were soggy, and the Italian sub was like a Jersey Mikes style sub. We ended up not even eating about half of what we ordered...and I'm pregnant so that's truly saying something. With that being our first experience, we are in no rush at all to try it again. read more

They had me at Arancini. I'm a Sicilian decendant and always in search of what my father would call a "transfusion". Walking in, and seeing pizza being hand tossed with a rack containing Arancini and below that Sfogliatelle, made me almost tear up. Ordered an Antipasto that was presented beautifully and while we waited, our server brought us a couple of garlic knots with a cup of Marinara. If I could have taken an intravenous dose of that delicious sauce I would have, it was that good. Arancini was perfect and our only regret today was that we were just having a quick lunch and not a whole meal. This IS a place "to die for" as some old friends will say. We aren't sure we will be retuning. Was SUPER excited to go back after The first time when I ordered I got a grandma pie which was good probably would've given it a 5/5 based on how kind they are there too. The sauce cheese and dough had good flavor! They recommended I try an original usually I'd as for it thin and crispy but decided maybe just crispy this recent time around. It was pretty bad. It didn't have much to ANY flavor was VERY thin (we wanted regular as told to try) and it was hard as a rock. When my boyfriend went in he said it had just come out of the oven yet it was cold and almost stale. We are convinced it was sitting there all day or something and warmed for a bit cause it was THAT hard and burnt but yet oddly cold? We also live 4 minutes door to door! Sadly even though it looked good, we opted to just make homemade sauce and pasta at home and give the pie to a neighbor... who then gave it to another neighbor ‍ willing to try again but most likely will remain taking the trip to our original "jersey spot" in Wilmington. Keep in mind the people here are EXTREMELY friendly regardless of prior reviews, they do have good grandmas! (Not fresh mozz cheese and basil like marg, it's the original pizza just tastes better and crust is better!) Oh- & the rice balls were just ok. WAY Too much meat not enough rice or other filling which was why I'd give them 2 stars. But I guess every place makes it different and it's totally a personal presence. We ordered two Italian subs. They were ready at the time the waitress gave us, but the result was not good. It was lacking in true Italian taste, and seemed to be loaded with what I would classify as lunchmeat. I have had one of their dishes a few years ago and it was very good. This rating is for the margarita pie. It was my first time at Falcone's. The pie deserved a 0 but I gave 1 star because the crust was good. Each slice had only one piece of cheese and one leaf of basil. (I regret not taking of photo of whole pie) There was barely any sauce on the pie and it was tasteless. The cheese was weird as it did not melt and had a rubbery consistency. Very disappointing. read more

Just picked up a teriyaki chicken salad. It was drowning in the sauce. I used so many paper towels to try to soak it up but couldn't get enough up. Therefore it was extremely salty. The food was AMAZING. Pasta was cooked well, sauces were spiced perfectly, the servings were huge, and the salsa were very fresh. My meal was about $26. One of their cooks was out with a personal injury, so we waited a tad bit longer than normal, but the staff was friendly, and kept our drinks filled, and bread baskets full. Lainey, our waitress was sweet and accommodating. The owner, Carol, came out to the table to talk and check on our experience. She was delightful. Lovely attitude, soft spoken but with nice presence, and wanted to make sure everyone was doing okay in spite of the wait. Lovely family owned restaurant! Definitely check them out. And be patient, the entire world is short staffed and people are doing the best they can. This restaurant especially is stepping up their experience even so! read more

Nice family-run Italian restaurant. Friendly staff, I like the vibe better than Pizzettas. I had linguini with red clam sauce - it was very good. You have choice of red or white sauce. My wife had eggplant and thought it was a little dry. I'll be back to try the meat lasagna and the pizza. They've sold to new owners. It's still a small Italian restaurant.
